I am totally new to the world of blackberry! But under the ring tones/alerts section there was an option to have a sound alert for facebook, which I was using. I then noticed a couple of days ago, there was no longer a sound alert when I got a facebook message, and the option to chose one has disappeared from the ring tones/alerts section.

I just upgraded to OS 6.0 today and now whenever I get a notification from Facebook, the sound won't play like it used to. When I have the phone on vibrate, it does not vibrate either. I tried going into each sound profile and I set the alerts for "social feeds" since Facebook isn't listed under there (only Twitter is).

View 9 Replies View RelatedFor the last two weeks or so I have been getting an alert tone every 6 hours. The tone is Notifier Nymph which I do not have assigned to anything. I get no text or icon notices, just the tone at 9:39 and 3:39. Strange.....I have tried several battery pulls, Downgraded BBM (to 4.6) and then uninstalled BB Messenger, then reinstalled BBM 5. Still the same thing. There are no tasks running no recurring appointments or anything.
View 6 Replies View RelatedMy Vivaz no longer alerts me when I get a text, there is no sound or vibration, it is not on silent mode and I've checked in my message settings the volume and that a sound is supposed to play when a text arrives. The envelope that used to show at the top of the screen when I received a text no longer appears either. The only way to know if i've got a new message is to go into my inbox where it appears; the side of the phone will then flash but still no sound. I ran a software update, then a reset and software update, but neither have made any difference.

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy 9105 3G phone's Internet Browser logo has disappeared for 2 weeks. I used to surf internet without problem, but now I can't go to any site, even through the 'WAP' . I can only find 'Browser' by 'Switch Application' but again no internet is accessible.
I am in the UK and the phone is contracted with Three. Internet had been accessible since June when I bought it but 2 weeks ago this happened. I've tried to re-send Host Routing Table registration message, but still has got nothing on the screen, nor can I go to internet.
I also find that 'Blackberry Internet Service' is 'not connected'. I don't know whether that's a problem but actually my internet has been fine, because I can still download extra applications through 'App World' icon.
I have just got a nokia 5230 but cannot seem to get the message alert sounds to work. The sound is turned up and the ring tones work fine. does anyone have a solution.
View 11 Replies View RelatedMy 5530 is no longer alerting me that i have a message, there is no sound, no pop up message and no symbol at the top of the phone, the only was of knowing i have a message is to go in to the messge menu and look for the start next to the inbox. The rest of the phone is find, alerts me normally when recieving calls.
I have tried restoring to factory setting, hard reset and reinstalling but nothing seams to work.
I have a bold 9900 and for the last few days the alert tones have been sounding randomly for no reason. There are no messages or notifications. This even happens when everything is switched to silent and the phone is turned off. The only time it stops is when I disconnect the battery??

when I receive a text, there is no sound, no vibration and no alert on the main screen. The only way I know I have a text is if I go into my inbox and see the little red or see the flash.Ive read that maybe deleting all my messages would help but I really don't want to lose them all.

I figure if the DuraMax and DuraCore can change the sounds, we should be able to. They have like 6 or 7 changeable chirps in the event you don't like a loud beep. I personally would like a subtle tone when I have my ear piece in driving down the road or when I'm at work. An 80dB blast to the eardrum at 4000 Hz kind of stings.

View 1 Replies View Relatedmy company recently moved to google mail and i am using a BB with curve 9300. all seems to be working fine except for 2 things.firstly when i go to compose an email on my BB and look for a company name in the address book i no long have the address lookup function. i am sure it was there when i first set up my BB with our company gmail domain.secondly 2 way sync seems to be working fine except for when i delete a message on the BB i get the option to delete on handheld and on mailbox and select that. except it never does. i have recived the message over and over from the server. i have changed the settings so on conflicts handheld wins and still the message wont delete on the server. the sync works fine for sent items on BB calender and for read items. just wont delete.
