BB Bold 9700 :: Sms & Mms Icon Disappeared

I got a problem with my bb9700 on SMS. When I powered on my bb, it showed like"uncaught exception：string index out of range:0". And the sms & mms icon disappeared. In message-box, I couldn't see any sms here,but only emails and mms. It will show a list about short messages when i press(alt+s), but any message can't be open, just a list. I have tried v6.0.0.593/680/743, but it doesn't be fixed. I can only wipe the phone , but several days later,It will repeat. no BIS/BES with my phone.

I currently have a blackberry bold 9700, I downloaded blackberry app world and I worked perfectly but once I connected it to my laptop the app world disappeared and know I can not download anything know, but the blackberry app world is still on my application list!Anyone out there can help me getting the icon back so I can start down loading things?

My BBM icon disappeared when I upgraded the version to 5.0.1.38. When I checked Options>Applications> Add on>
Blackberry Messenger 5.0.1.38 appears.
My mobile is BB 9700 v5.0.0.351
Question 1.) Is that the reason why the icon disappeared (compatibility issue)? I have read issues on forums similiar to mine but it is not successful. I downloaded the BBM again and again; reboot the phone; but still it is not showing. I read something about BB device software version 6.0 (only one showi on the website).
I am downloading it now,
(Question 2.) Will that help?
(Question 3.) if YES, How will i do it? Procedures pls..
(Question 4.) Are (BBM version, BB9700 version, BB Device Software) compatible?

I cannot find the BB App World icon. I think it disappeared after I downloaded the latest version. I have deleted and re-downloaded. I have looked in every folder. I have downloaded and replaced the existing version. I have re-booted by taking the battery out, etc. The software is in my applications. I have gone through every folder clicking on show all also.

So I have owned a Black Bold 9700 for a while now and about 2 months ago I switched to a White 9700. I would always get at least one day out of my battery in my black 9700. And I was with my white 9700 as well until about 2 weeks ago.I rarely talk on my phone but I am a heavy user with BBM, text and email and a bit with Facebook which I know uses a lot of battery... I have about 90 contacts on BBM and use it constantly everyday -- chatting with 4 to 5 ppl at a time constantly. However, I'm lucky if my battery lasts from 11am until 5pm anymore. I have tried about 3 different batteries and they all have the same issue. I just upgraded my software from .743 to .862 last night.
And I switched over to a brand new OEM battery 2 days ago. I charged my phone overnight and powered it on at 11am and now at 2:14pm I'm sitting at 75% battery life.I don't have many apps on my phone besides Facebook and Weather Eye. The only apps I ever have running everyday are the ones that have to be running constantly (BBM, Phone, Browser, Messages). I rarely even browse the internet and I don't have Bluetooth or Wi-Fi enabled. However, I am always running on 3G.

so after updated I have been having a few brain scratchers going on, and this is the latest.the little 4 square symbol next to 3G that is ALWAYS on for me, has now disappeared but i am still able to send emails and BBM (which I shouldnt be if the symbol is not there).how is this possible?? is anyone else noticing this?
im so confused and getting a bit irritated with the release...

I am using bb 9780 with OS 6.0. I few days back I updated my Blackberry Application World to 3.1.0.60 but since then I am unable to locate my Application world icon on my home screen.I checked my entire bb and even hidden files but its nowhere to be found.It shows in the installed applications list but nowhere in the blackberry. I even tried reinstalling it several times but still the problem is persistent.

1. I updated my phone yesterday and one of my email icons has disappeared. I have deleted it and reinstalled but still not there even though i can still recieve emails.
2. I am self employed and use the mobile for work. i have just set up a website and email address with uk-cheapest and get get the email to load onto my blackberry. it says invalid email or password even though these are correct.

I don't know if this has anything to do with the recent BIS 3.0 update, but my E-Mail Setup Icon disappeared. I know it was there earlier today since I went in to see if there were any BIS 3.0 changes (I didn't see any).Now it's gone.I still have all my e-mail accounts set up and they appear to be working fine, but the setup icon is gone.Has anyone else noticed this issue?Is there something going on with BIS? Perhaps an upgrade rollout?

One of my email icons are not showing up on my home screen nor on my menu screen when i press "show all" applications. I've tried taking the battery out for 30 seconds, finding service books (it won't let me send), and i've tried checking if it was hidden, but i didn't know how to check that on the 9780. I've tried looking it up and every post says "from the home screen, press menu and then show all" but there is no regular menu option nor is there a show all.

When I downloaded Facebook Version 3.0 my icon disappeared. I made sure to have my icons on Show All. I tried deleting and reinstalling FB but still the icon is missing. I checked my applications list and it is showing as installed...I even downloaded the newest update for FB and still the icon is missing.

I just got the bold 9700 ver. 2 from ATT and don't have the phone icon. It is not hidden, I looked, and not in any other folder. All I have is a phone icon that is for Visual Voice Mail, which I am not signed up for and don't want to be. When I click the VVM icon it says do you want to sign up and I hit No and it just kicks me back to the main screen. How can I get rid of the Visual VM icon and get the Call log icon?

I have a BOLD 9900 that it's phone button does not work and the phone Icon has disappeared.All other apps work.I have taken the battery out and reinserted. Ran the Show Icon procedure. Turned it off and on.Turned the phone lock off and on.Checked Manage connections and all good.
