After looking thru all of the manuals and comparing icons I cannot find what the gold icon at the top which looks like the Internet is tell me. We spent an hour on the phone to AT&T support with no help. The icon is gold round with gridlines as latitude and longitude. The number "1" is beside it. It is at the top to the right of the email icon. I have a screen capture of it.
View 5 RepliesI have a torch 9000. Tried to download an app. Had to upgrade App World first. After installing, nothing. Icon is gone. Wasted an hour trying to find solutions on line. Tried them all. Uninstall. Hard reboot. Soft reboot. Removed battery will BB was on, did fresh download, etc. No progress.
View 1 Replies View RelatedEver since the update I've had what I'm assuming is a notification icon on my screen and I've tried everything i can think of to figure out what it could be. It's appears to be a golden globe (almost like that of the web browser icon - which was what i though it was related to) with a number 1 next to it just as if it was a message or social network notification. Does anyone know what this icon might be and how to possibly get rid of it?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have been going through this forum for a while and have tried all of the fixes that I can find to no avail. I have a brand new Windows 7 64-bit machine, that never had the Desktop Manager installed. I have installed version 5.01 off of the web site. Windows is able to see the Blackberry in the Device Manager just fine and I can also see the internal storage available under My Computer and I can access all folders. The Virtual Ports (COM3 and COM4) are also available in Device Manager.
I went through and followed the clean uninstall and reinstall instructions and various other suggestions that I have already seen. For whatever reason, the Desktop Manager still won't see the BB. When going into Options in the Desktop Manager, it shows that USB is selected but still nothing under PIN.I am connected to the straight USB port on the back of the computer and have tried several there.
I am running the latest BB Desktop Software on my PC, "Version 5.0 Bundle 1137". It usually will NOT recognise my Bold 9000. I have tried most suggested measures, including closing Outlook opening the BB software. Perhaps going back to an older version of the desktop software?

I have no connection on blackberry app World or any of the blackberry apps or my e-mail, I can use MEdia net browser to connect to the internet it works fine, I can us Wi-Fi and everything work fine. Myspace or Facebook or any apps don't work unless i use my home Wi-Fi. I talk to AT&T and they said my internet was working fine.
I downloaded Desktop Manager version 6 per a prompt from version 5 to update my software. Now everytime I sync my BB, it erases my wallpaper and sets it to the default. Totally irritating!My phone is a 9000 Blackberry Bold, my service provider is AT&T.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI am running Vista with Black Berry Device Manager 5.0.1.11 and BBDevMgr 4.1.0.12. I am using the latest Microsoft Bluetooth drivers.
I can connect once and synch several times with my Blackberry Bold 9000. But as soon as I disconnect once, the Device Manager does not connect anymore when trying again.
I do recognice in the Bluetooth status window - both on the BB and Vista - that there is a short connection and breaks again. That repeats all the time.
If I try to search again for the BB, it is not found anymore. It is still registered in the Bluetooth devices but the Device Manager does not find it anymore.
Deleting the entry in the the Bluetooth device section does not help. I do have to do a reset (battery out or the alt-shift-del key) then I can reconnect once again.
Someone does have the same problem?
I am quite sure that the problem is in the Device Manager (not the Desktop Manager) - but it can also be a device software and / or hardware problem.
Desktop Software V6 application loader for new software for Bold 9000 won't allow the "apply" button to be clicked. Says "exceeded available storage" (124.5 mb), which is unchaged even after I deleted several large apps from the BB and rebooted. How do I get the application loader to work?
View 6 Replies View RelatedMy app world told me an upgrade was available (3.1.0.58) for my bold 9780. I am using software 6.0.0.294. Once I installed app world upgrade and bbm upgrade the icons disappeared. I've tried reinstalling them, battery pull, all the usual tricks.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've got a blackberry 9000 device that I cant seem to reload. My computer (2 of them) have not been able to detect it through Desktop manager 4.6. Some things I've tried were detecting it with Javaloader's USB wipe, but that didn't work as it would not detect. I've tried two separate batteries, still to no avail.
It seems for some reason this blackberry cannot be detected. The device is relatively new, not used for more than a month. I'd love to get this issue resolved with some help.

After re-booting the phone, my App World icon was suddenly missing from my home screen. It was not on my Download screen either. I could also not find it when doing a search for App World. I re-installed App World from the Blackberry website. I still had the same problem. Then a friend suggested that I un-install App World by Settings: Device: Application Management: Blackberry App World - and selecting delete in Options. I did this - and then re-installed App World AGAIN on my phone from the website. And still the problem persists. Do I actually have App World on my phone or not? If I do have it on my phone, how and where do I find the icon - so I can place it on my home screen.
