my blackberry bold 9000 is not working.. i mean 2 days before it suddenly reboot and after that it wont start. its red light flash for 30 second then its tried to loading but in 10 seconds it reboots again and it is not starting. even when i tried to connect it with pc, it is not connecting with desktop manager. i am worried. i searched for all solutions but not getting any usefull information.

I am trying to connect my computer to my BB using bluetooth so I can sync wirelessly. Bluetooth is enabled on my 9900 and my computer is a "paired device". However when I use the Desktop software and try to "add a bluetooth enable device" it can't find my phone.Also when I go through Devices and Printers on my computer I can see the phone (bluetooth is enabled on the computer) although there is a driver problem identified that windows can't fix.

The only way I can make it work is to uninstall and reinstall the desktop program. But I'm sick of having to do that everytime I need to sync my phone.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have been going through this forum for a while and have tried all of the fixes that I can find to no avail. I have a brand new Windows 7 64-bit machine, that never had the Desktop Manager installed. I have installed version 5.01 off of the web site. Windows is able to see the Blackberry in the Device Manager just fine and I can also see the internal storage available under My Computer and I can access all folders. The Virtual Ports (COM3 and COM4) are also available in Device Manager.
I went through and followed the clean uninstall and reinstall instructions and various other suggestions that I have already seen. For whatever reason, the Desktop Manager still won't see the BB. When going into Options in the Desktop Manager, it shows that USB is selected but still nothing under PIN.I am connected to the straight USB port on the back of the computer and have tried several there.
I've got a blackberry 9000 device that I cant seem to reload. My computer (2 of them) have not been able to detect it through Desktop manager 4.6. Some things I've tried were detecting it with Javaloader's USB wipe, but that didn't work as it would not detect. I've tried two separate batteries, still to no avail.
It seems for some reason this blackberry cannot be detected. The device is relatively new, not used for more than a month. I'd love to get this issue resolved with some help.
I am running Vista with Black Berry Device Manager 5.0.1.11 and BBDevMgr 4.1.0.12. I am using the latest Microsoft Bluetooth drivers.
I can connect once and synch several times with my Blackberry Bold 9000. But as soon as I disconnect once, the Device Manager does not connect anymore when trying again.
I do recognice in the Bluetooth status window - both on the BB and Vista - that there is a short connection and breaks again. That repeats all the time.
If I try to search again for the BB, it is not found anymore. It is still registered in the Bluetooth devices but the Device Manager does not find it anymore.
Deleting the entry in the the Bluetooth device section does not help. I do have to do a reset (battery out or the alt-shift-del key) then I can reconnect once again.
Someone does have the same problem?
I am quite sure that the problem is in the Device Manager (not the Desktop Manager) - but it can also be a device software and / or hardware problem.
I have a Curve 8330 and cannot get the Desktop Manager to connect with it. This was a frequent problem for a long time until the latest DM upgrade. Suddenly, now the same thing is happening. DM just shows "connecting" but no connection takes place. I have uninstalled then downloaded and reinstalled v6 but all in fain.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI have the Torch 9800 and I'm running Wndows XP with the most recent version of Desktop manager.Up until two weeks ago my phone and computer communicated beautifully, syncing, back-ups, file sharing, everything. But last week my computer and phone seemed to fail to see each other and now nothing is happening when I plug my phone in. The phone goes to the 'clock' screen as if it's plugged into a charger and doesn't display a connection issue on it's end, but the computer does not show that anything has been connected.So far I have:
1) Checked the USB connection to the comptuter
2) Tried different USB ports
3) Tried a different USB cable
4) Wiped and re-installed Desktop manager on my computer
I'm at a loss on how to get my computer and phone talking to each other again.
I am needing to upgrade to the OS v.5 but my Storm is not connecting to Desktop Manager. I can see that it's connected to my laptop by checking under My Computer. I've repeatedly done a hard reset for my Storm and also uninstalled/reinstalled the Desktop software, restarted my laptop. I also disabled Norton and Windows Firewall. Neither worked. I also decided to do a "wipe handheld" which SORTA worked but doesn't work. Desktop Manager recognizes the Storm connection but still remains disconnected and the phone continues to flash the screen "Connecting to desktop" and goes away. The last time my Storm was able to connect to the Desktop software was in August of 2009 when I was able to backup my data. Now, not only can I upgrade my OS, I can't restore my data because for some reason the phone and Desktop manager will not maintain a connection. I'm beyond frustrated at this point.

I've unistalled Destop Manager, reverted back to 5.0.0 and I still have the same issue. This was and is currently setup with my Outlook 2003 (SP3) exchange server to forward my work emails, and it worked up until I updated to 5.0.1 last week.
I have a bold 9000 and I can not connect to the internet. Carrier is AT&T and I live in the North East (NYC area). Worked fine up until yesterday (Jan 25). Now gmail, facebook, browser - none work. I've tried the battery pull, turning on/off the network, run a diagnostic test from mobile network options. In the mobile network test i get the volling anomolies "Blackberry PIN-PIN: No" and it says can't connect to my email (gmail).

The link takes me to the BB site for software, but it directs me to the same version of DM I already have. I've even uninstalled and installed again hoping that would help.I read in the BB troubleshooting forum that the most current is 1.0.3 build 23, but the one I'm using is build 19. I am having difficulty syncing my device to my computer.
I am running Vista 32 bit on a Dell Inspiron 1525.
I have downloaded Desktop Manager 5.0.1 B49 MultiLanguage - Without Media Manager successfully and downloaded the latest version (I have seen elsewhere that this version is suggested for the bold 9700).
My computer recognizes the device but from the Found New Hardware prompt as a RIM Composite Device but In the desktop manager it says that there is no device plugged in.
I have also turned on media card support and mass storeage mode.
I cannot find the appropriate driver through the device manager either.
I did a couple battery pulls and connection re-tries in different usb ports.
When i run the desktop manager setup file, the installation process begins, and shows me a dialogue box that says 'pending .net framework' and i hit install to let it start. It goes through a couple of dialogue boxes and after like 5 mins, an error appears saying 'this requires that .net 3.5 sp1 shouild be installed' and i hit finish and it is exited.

In my case, may be, the problem is my Windows Vista is not using the Blackberry USB driver; instead, it uses a standard usb driver. I tried to update it in the Device Manager, by selecting the ones that is found in program FilesCommon FilesResearch In MotionUSB Drivers, but the process always finishes telling me the driver is up to date. The result is, Windows recognices the unit, even if I connect it as a USB unit, and if I connect it for Multimedia sincronization; but BB Desktop Manager does not see it.
I also tried downloading and installing BB USB and Modem drivers from the BB downloads, but that didnīt change anithing.I think this is the source of my problem, because most documents in the knowledge database says I have to see the BB USB driver on de Device Manager.How can I force Windows to use BB USB driver?

*Installed Blackberry Desktop Manager 501_b073_multilanguage from Blackberry website. Connected Device to USB1, Device recognized in Windows Device Manager as "Blackberry Smartphone" under USB Controllers and "RIM Virtual Serial Port v2 (COM8) and (COM9) under Ports in Windows Device Manager, but Blackbery Device Manager only shows COM3 "Disabled" and nothing else. At this point I am at a loss for a next step in troubleshooting.
Why does desktop manager not allow you to delete off applications you aren't going to use? The ones I'm specifically wanting to delete are in the downloads folder-mobile video, community, music apps, my-cast weather, MobiTV, MusicID, and XMradio. I'd like to get rid of these to free up some space for other applications I will use.
