BB Bold :: App World Icon Missing?
Jul 19, 2011I updated to the new version of BB App World and I have device software 6.0 and now I can no longer find the App World icon but my device lists it as installed.

Dec 24, 2011Each time I download the new app world version 3.1.0.58 I don't see the icon on my bb bold 9650, but the application is listed in the application manager. I have downloaded this version of app world three times in the last three days and each time I've had to go back to the previous 3.1.0.56 version because of this problem!

Nov 7, 2012I upgraded to Blackberry App World version 4.0.0.63 on my Blackberry Bold 9780 yesterday. After re-booting the phone, my App World icon was suddenly missing from my home screen. It was not on my Download screen either. I could also not find it when doing a search for App World. I re-installed App World from the Blackberry website. I still had the same problem. Then a friend suggested that I un-install App World by Settings: Device: Application Management: Blackberry App World - and selecting delete in Options. I did this - and then re-installed App World AGAIN on my phone from the website. And still the problem persists. Do I actually have App World on my phone or not? If I do have it on my phone, how and where do I find the icon - so I can place it on my home screen.

Nov 28, 2012My icon for Blackberry App World has completely vanished from my 9780 Bold. I have downloaded the software four times and it replaces the other version but the icon is still gone. It is not hidden anywhere. I have tried taking out the battery and that doesn't help either.

Jan 1, 2012I have a Curve 9300 and recently upgraded to version 3.1.0.58 app world then after a few days the icon disappeared. I tried to download from the blackberry website but I kept having a message that too many tabs were open (there wasnt) and that the browser needed cleaning (or words to that effect...I think!). I have since received an email from blackberry stating that there was an error with that version and to download version 3.1.0.56 - I cannot download that either. I have tried by connecting to my laptop and downloading from the blackberry site, it states that I cannot download from there and to use the mobile web. I still cannot download from there either. I do have updated software on my curve as it crashed about 3 months ago when removing an app.

I installed it, still not found, I tried HIDDEN options, tried RE-BOOTINGI found a page where there were 4 causes and 4 resolutions given. The first 3 i tried and no use. Jun 18, 2012I have just upgraded from an 8520 to a 9360. Originally I moved everything onto my new phone by using desktop manager but there seemed to be a problem with constant rebooting because it didnt like some of the third party apps. I restored the phone to the original settings but although I have Appworld and Bridge in my list of applications there is no icon for them - i have checked by Show All and they are not there. Both showed as icons on my 8520 and worked fine (I have a playbook too which is why I need the Bridge).

I have looked in the downloads folder, the apps folder, and every other folder I have on my phone just for GP for that matter but can not find the BB App World Icon. Under the Apps it says that it is installed. I have removed and reinstalled several times and done a battery pull VS a restart more than 10 times. The only thing I have not done is format the phone.

Jun 10, 2011I recently noticed that my Blackberry App World icon was missing from my home screen. I drilled into each of the sub folders, selecting 'show all' for each, and still could not find the icon. I attempted to re-download the app from the blackberry website using my browser, but was informed that I already had the application on my device. I then attempted to replace the existing version, and still no icon.I then decided to navigate to the application center and remove the app world application. I then navigated back to my browser (cleared the cache) and attempted to download the app. I received a 'download failed' notification, with the details of 'Invalid COD error 907' message (or something to that affect).

Carrier: Vodaphone UK
OS: 6.0 Bundle (v6.0.0.448, platform 6.6.0.124)

Jan 6, 2010I just got the bold 9700 ver. 2 from ATT and don't have the phone icon. It is not hidden, I looked, and not in any other folder. All I have is a phone icon that is for Visual Voice Mail, which I am not signed up for and don't want to be. When I click the VVM icon it says do you want to sign up and I hit No and it just kicks me back to the main screen. How can I get rid of the Visual VM icon and get the Call log icon?
