When I checked the encryption type as below copied from blackberry homepage, I can't find the "General Settings" and can't find the encryption type.Why and what is the encryption type in use with BIS? Can I configure it on my smartphone? Checking the encryption type on a BlackBerry smartphone. BlackBerry smartphone users can perform the following steps to verify the type of encryption used to protect the data in transit between their BlackBerry smartphones and the BlackBerry Enterprise Server: On the BlackBerry smartphone Home screen, click Options.Click Security or Security Options. Aug 25, 2011I recently installed BlackBerry Protect on my phone. I think it's a great app, with tons of potential to be useful. The only thing I'm a little unsure about is that in order for it to work properly on my Bold 9900 I had to disable encryption. The question I have, which I hope someone out there can answer: is that a big deal/ is it a smart tradeoff? I don't know that much about encryption, but it sounds like something I would like to have (Can you ever have to much security in a handheld?)

I am getting this popup on my BB "uncaught expectation: a browser content provider for video/3gpp MIME Type has already been registered with the browser." I am unable to play any video online.
Error occurs : the returned page type had no content type, and therefore can not be processed.
please help me in sorting it as i have tried with the wipe too. It worked for few hours but later again the same issue.

Apr 10, 2012I woke up this morning and had an "Enterprise Activation" icon on my screen. I didn't download it, so I have no idea how it got there (it was a rectangle or folder with a green arrow on it). When I clicked on it it went to a white screen and said "Encryption Regeneration" but didn't seem to do anything else. I looked for a delete option for the icon, but there was none on the list. I went to the Blackberry App World and couldn't find anything that suggested I had downloaded it, but when I browsed online I found an article that said you can download this whatever-it-is from Blackberry. I also had some upgrades that needed doing, so I upgraded Twitter, Yahoo, Google and MSN apps and rebooted. After reboot the new icon has disappeared. Could this have happened spontaneously for some reason? Or have I been hacked?

The date above the text messages says Sun 4 Jun 2017. I have sent 2 different texts, the time shown on the sent ones is correct.

Jul 5, 2011The strange thing is when I plug power into it, I can see the screen for a moment then it dims. It will ring, but you cannot answer, as I said, none of the keys will prompt the phone to do anything. I connect the phone to the PC and it detects and asks for password. Here is my problem. When I type in the password, it says it is the incorrect password. I know this is the password. I am on the 4th attempt, so I am stopping because I am aware of the security wipe. The time for incoming SMS messages is constantly saying 03.10am, and when I scroll over the message it always says "received 1 minute ago", regardless of when the message was received. My sent messages seem to be working fine and the time and date have been set correctly. The phone is only a week old and the software is up to date. I have tried removing the battery and rebooting the device but nothing has worked.

I input all of my phone numbers in Outlook in the following format: (XXX) XXX-XXXX, but when I receive an incoming phone call on the home screen the numbers appear as XXXXXXXXXX (name is correct). When I look on the call log, they appear correctly and when I check my address book in the device, they appear correctly.I only sync one way - from Outlook to the Device. How do I get them to appear in the correct 10 digit phone number format with parentheses and hyphen?I had another Bold before this and had no issues with this at all. I am wondering if I need to use the Backup and Restore feature in the DTM to delete the address book completely and start again.

I have had it replaced, I've had new software put into the phone, it was working then over night I wake up and the phone isn't working, and it has done that twice.
