Jan 16, 2012My 9780 Bold restarted after I deleted an app, but won't reboot fully. The white loading bar stalls at about 2/3 in, even when I try to start it up again after a battery pull.

BB Bold :: 9780 Keeps Freezing?
Nov 22, 2012Whenever I touch my trackpad using my phone the whole phone freezes. I have had it replaced, I've had new software put into the phone, it was working then over night I wake up and the phone isn't working, and it has done that twice. I have rebooted my phone hundreds of times but the same thing keeps happening, I leave it for a few minutes but that doesn't work either.

A battery pull is all I can do to unfreeze the device, but it freezes again fairly quickly.If I turn the phone on, and check messages, and social feeds the phone usually works normally until I stop.Once I put the phone down, or put it into my pocket it freezes. The only instance where this problem does not occur, is when I have the phone tethered to my computer.I can have the phone on while charging through the wall outlet, and it freezes, but it never happens when I am tethered to my computer.

Bold :: Blackberry Keeps Freezing During Reboot
Aug 28, 2012I have a Blackberry Torch 9800, and it was working fine. Then it switched itself off randomly and my immediate reaction was to reboot it. However when I done this, my phone froze, literally 1/10th into the line, so it's still very close to the beginning of the reboot. I tried rebooting the phone again and it freezes at the exact same place each time.I have tried leaving the battery out, letting the Blackberry reboot overnight, connecting it to my laptop and nothing has worked.

Nov 5, 2012I am getting extremely frustrated with my phone. For the last couple of weeks, my phone has been freezing. It freezes when I try to send a picture via text message. It freezes when I try to get images in my email. It does not freeze when I use or send pics via BBM. I have deleted pictures, videos and unnecessary apps on my phone. I have pulled the battery on my phone about 50 times in the last couple of weeks, once 6 times in an hour. I have backed it up using BB Desktop. I even bought a new battery but it's still happening. Please note, I have had this phone for 17 months and have NEVER had these issues before. It all started after the last software upgrade (6.0 Bundle 2921 (6.0.0.666, platform 6.6.0.241) about 2 or 3 weeks ago. I am getting extremely frustrated with my phone. Oct 29, 2011my bold 9780 on telus has been freezing, and shutting down and everytime it starts back up it does the same thing and shuts down, and sometimes it doesn't even restart, the red LED light blinks 5 times on the black screen. I seriously love this phone but i hate how much trouble its been giving me. And when it is on it either says sim card error, SOS or searching for networks randomly.

Oct 28, 2012Basically I plugged my phone in to my computer yesterday to charge it up, did no updates or download anything new, it is exactly the same software wise as it was before the problem started.It suddenly has started switching off automatically and then switching back on but its not in a continuous loop. It happens frequently but I sometimes can use my phone for a few minutes before it will start doing this again. I have a small feeling I know this is going to sound completely stupid but I have a small feeling it may have something to do with the signal. At university my signal constantly switches between having some and no signal and when I have no signal it seems to keep restarting and resetting it self till I have signal.Sometimes it resets when I do have signal but the majority of the time it resets it doesn't have signal. This is going to be the next stupid part, I went home today and I had full signal all day and this problem didn't happen once but soon as I got back to university the problem has started again.

When enabling Device Memory encryption Memory Clean is automatically turned on and can't be disabled. So in my testing reboot time was between 6-7mins. My current config setup is that last test. Since Password is on, I see no need for Device Memory encryption to be on. Without the password you can't gain access to device files. ZonaSnap , QuickLaunch, Blink all preloaded during each test. 8 Email Accounts, about 80 read emails, and 100+ sms, 41 apps anyone that is getting 1-2min reboot please post your settings.

Sep 17, 2010I use SlickTasks and BB Calendar. Past few days I've had a lot going on and can have as many as 8 ST alerts + 3 or so calendar alerts pop up at once. (Don't want it that way, it's just the way it worked out.) Anyway, then by Bold freezes up. Usually under a minute or so, then it finally responds and I can dismiss or delay alerts. Is that too many for the phone to handle? The only thing I've done differently lately is d/l a trial of Calendar Pro last week, but missed the 40% off sale deadline so haven't been using it. No alerts are coming from it.

Dec 15, 2010I just got myself a bold 9780. But now after restarting it for the first time, it shows a white screen with "App Error 603" and "Reset" on it. I alreadey tried the suggestions at the Torch board. My desktop manager (6.0) can't connect with my device and I can't force it with application uploader (whatever that may be).
