BB Bold :: 9930 Is Freezing And Very Slow
May 12, 2012I am about ready to throw this phone away and I have only had it for 6 months. I have to do a battery pull at least twice a day because it just stops working.

BB Curve :: It Has Got Very Slow And Sometime Freezing
Jan 30, 2012So i got a new blackberry curve 9360 for Christmas but recently it has gotten very slow and most of the time when i try to unlock it nothing will happen for a good few minutes and then the phone will unlock like it has frozen. I havent dropped it or anything yet and the only apps i have are the ones that came with it like google and facebook and then the bbm.

Jun 29, 2010I have a iPhone 3G and after the iOS4 update, my phone has been lagging beyond belief. It seems like its freezing when im texting someone and its slow when i'm on my iPod setting. I only have 4 apps on it but around 400 songs on it . Anyone know if I should see an Apple Genius about it?

May 31, 2015I got the Edge a month ago. I transferred across from an iPhone - using the Smart Switch app to transfer all of my data across as well.
Since the transfer, the messaging app freezes, becomes unresponsive or is incredibly slow (especially in text threads with a lot of messages in this). This means that the keyboard freezes, words/letters won't appear for a while after they have been typed, sometimes the keyboard doesn't appear at all, and the messages thread takes a long time to update.
What can I do about this? How can I stop my messages app freezing so often? I really enjoy the edge, but the fact that I can't message properly (or that it freezes/is so slow) is ruining the phone for me.

Mar 17, 2012My IPhone is freezing. I just restored it because it was freezing. It freezes only on the lock screen and when I go to the app search. It wont play some apps and I really need my phone working.

HTC Wildfire :: Slow Response And Constant Freezing
Mar 11, 2011Had a Wildfire for a few days, now, and am getting very frustrated by its slow response and constant freezing. I have loaded a couple of apps from the Android Market (MyPhoneExplorer and SqueezeBox Commander), but, apart from that it is fairly standard. For instance, if the screen has powered off then I press the power button - up pops the display, showing time. Sometimes, if it tap the screen, it says screen is locked and drag down, but, often it doesn't and I have to power off/on again. When it does appear, it is a total lottery whether it will drag down and unlock - occasionally, it drags half way even! It is as if the CPU is going flat out doing something else and can't be bothered to respond to what I am doing.

Mar 21, 2012The A key has stopped working and all the other keys are slow to respond. When the backlight turns black, the only thing I can do to get it back on is to press and hold the off button till the screen reappears, whereas usually I can press any key if the keypad is unlocked which it is...Also sometimes it'll freeze and none of the keys will work yet the rollerball will...I've pulled the battery out and also checked to see if it needed an update through the blackberry desktop software but nothing, been reading some posts to see if anything will help but nothing yet.I want to try wiping the phone by going to option>security options>general... etc and wiping the handheld but it appears I don't have a general tab, once I go into the security options I have Advanced scurity options, encryption, firewall, information and security wipe but none of these help (I want to wipe the whole handheld not do the security wipe).

Reconnect your device and try again." So I did . . . three times. Same message each time. I downloaded the BlackBerry Desktop Software for Mac again, even though it said I had the latest version already installed. I tried the backup once more; same error message. Has the software changed versions or updated? What should I do to correct this?

Oct 28, 2011I have the Blackberry Bold 9930 with Verizon - love the phone, but the emails often don't go through the first time and I have to hit resend once, twice or three times. This doesn't happen every time, but at least 3 or 4 times a day. Is this a known problem with Blackberry or do I have to contact Verizon? Nothing has changed since I bought this new phone, such as where I use it, the carrier, etc. I have pulled the battery numerous times to see if that solved the problem, but it continues to happen regularly.

Aug 16, 2012I live outside the US and own a Blackberry Bold 9700 which has Blackberry Enterprise Service; I recently purchased a Bold 9930 unlocked from verizon in the US and wish to use it instead of my old 9700. How can I go about switching the Blackberry service from my old phone to my new 9930?
I am able to make calls with the 9930 but have been unable to activate the Enterprise service on it. I have tried using the desktop software to switch devices but that seems to have only transfered the data from my old phone to the new one.
BB Bold :: 9930 Will Not Start
Aug 13, 2012I bought my BBB 9930 several months ago, today my phone did not start. I tried everything, taking battery out for about an hour, direct connect to PC etc..Every 20 seconds the blackberry logo and bottom bar will slightly light up (faded low low light) and disappear right away then 2 seconds later the red light will turn on and off and then the same thing will happen again 20 seconds later into a loop.

Dec 29, 2011I just received a brand new blackberry 9930 and it is not working with the SIM card I have in the phone. I live in Jamaica and I am using a Digicel SIM card. The original carrier of the phone is Sprint. Dec 10, 2011i have a problem with my 9930 not connecting to BIS. i'm in nigeria and my phone runs on the MTN Nigeria network. I have noticed this is now a common problem with 9930s running on thesame network in nigeria. the phone is a 9930 verizon running OS 7 on the MTN N network. i have used this same phone in glasgow the last time and it had no problems but on returning to nigeria the BIS stopped working. i dont have any other problems with this phone as much as i know.

Jun 13, 2010I am kind of concerned about the lack of App space I have on my new 9930. I have a some apps (facebook, twitter, poynt, BB news, BofA, evernote, wikitude, scoremobile, google maps, BBmaps, IMO, Bridge, SayIt and maybe a couple of other small ones) but before this last upgrade to OS 7.1 I was always around 200MB left, which still isnt great but its better than what I have now after the upgrade which is 140MB. Does anyone else have this problem? Its great that they increased the internal storage to 8GB but that does no good when you cant use it for apps, and besides I have a 32GB SD card in it so I dont need that 8GB for media storage. Is there anyway to increase the amount of storage without deleting the apps i have? I have these apps because I use them. I had the same apps on my 9650 and actually had more room 250MB or so.

Left the phone on the charger throughout the night, woke up, went to check my messages, and the phone was no longer turning on. I dont know what happened during the night.Went to Verizon: the guy gave me some bs about how the phone has had water damage (as evident by corrosion on the charger insert location). I have since been told that there is in fact no water damage (the item that is supposed to turn red when there is water damage is still white) and that the corrosion is merely the fact that I use the charger.

Nov 19, 2011I have a BlackBerry Bold 9930 from and by Verizon...I'm going over seas and will need to use another SIM card in it... I've put another SIM cardbooted it OR placed any other NEW SIM card it - it gives me the attached Blackberry ID sign in screen!!!it fails to authenticate me - because it needs the _internet_(because if I boot up with my original SIM card and enable WiFi and boot with any other SIM card - only then it's able to authenticate me... with same pass and etc...this is odd and actually crazy... it relies on the internet to give me access to the phone - if I'm in a middle of an undeveloped country no 3G or WiFi - and need to reboot / use another SIM etc... how does it expect me to authenticate!?and even more I am worried that even if I wipe ... and restore to factory - I will end up being presented with this sign in screen...I've tried to remove the BlackBerry ID in options - but can't see a way to do it...is it OS 7 issue?is it the AppWorld 3 issue? should I remove it? should I uninstall it?what do you think will happen if I enter the wrong sign in password 11 times?what ever it is - there must be some sort of a work around.

Oct 3, 2012My second BB bold 9930 is frozen. It stops on either the 1 - Verizon startup screen OR 2-BB home screen, depending on what happens after rebooting. Completely unreponsive to all buttons except reboot when on BB home screen.
I have done the following: soft reboot, multiple soft reboots, hard (battery) reboot. AND...Because the phone is completely stuck, my BB desktop software manager can NOT read/connect to phone...."connecting to phone".. If NOT, can I somehow retrieve the information located on 'my device'...as opposed to stuff stored on media card?
BB Bold :: 9930 Keeps Shutting Down And Rebooting
Mar 26, 2012I have had multiple Blackberry devices over the past 10 years and received the 9930 about 3 weeks ago. I am on my second 9930 now (yes-within the 3 weeks) and the same thing keeps happening. The device turns off and recycles constantly. I pull the battery, wait 3-5 minutes, allow it to re-boot, and make sure there is a charge. Once I pulled the battery and left it out overnight. The device was completely uncharged after I re-installed the battery so I charged it for 24 hours. Nothing has changed and the original issue is still occurring. I have watched Verizon take these out of the box and set them up so I do not believe them to be refurbished.
