My IPhone is freezing. I just restored it because it was freezing. It freezes only on the lock screen and when I go to the app search. It wont play some apps and I really need my phone working.

I have a iPhone 3G and after the iOS4 update, my phone has been lagging beyond belief. It seems like its freezing when im texting someone and its slow when i'm on my iPod setting. I only have 4 apps on it but around 400 songs on it . Anyone know if I should see an Apple Genius about it?

What can I do to remediate or at least to mitigate? If it the problem is due to resources shortage and/or processor overload, which applications should I stop?
So i got a new blackberry curve 9360 for Christmas but recently it has gotten very slow and most of the time when i try to unlock it nothing will happen for a good few minutes and then the phone will unlock like it has frozen. I havent dropped it or anything yet and the only apps i have are the ones that came with it like google and facebook and then the bbm.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI got the Edge a month ago. I transferred across from an iPhone - using the Smart Switch app to transfer all of my data across as well.
Since the transfer, the messaging app freezes, becomes unresponsive or is incredibly slow (especially in text threads with a lot of messages in this). This means that the keyboard freezes, words/letters won't appear for a while after they have been typed, sometimes the keyboard doesn't appear at all, and the messages thread takes a long time to update.
What can I do about this? How can I stop my messages app freezing so often? I really enjoy the edge, but the fact that I can't message properly (or that it freezes/is so slow) is ruining the phone for me.
Had a Wildfire for a few days, now, and am getting very frustrated by its slow response and constant freezing. I have loaded a couple of apps from the Android Market (MyPhoneExplorer and SqueezeBox Commander), but, apart from that it is fairly standard. For instance, if the screen has powered off then I press the power button - up pops the display, showing time. Sometimes, if it tap the screen, it says screen is locked and drag down, but, often it doesn't and I have to power off/on again. When it does appear, it is a total lottery whether it will drag down and unlock - occasionally, it drags half way even! It is as if the CPU is going flat out doing something else and can't be bothered to respond to what I am doing.
View 1 Replies View RelatedThe 2 games that I play most often, at least at this time, are Angry Birds and Hungry Shark. I have noticed that while I am playing that the screen will just freeze for about 3-5 seconds. There is no specific time when this happens, but it does happenevery 1-5 minutes. When the screen freezes the sound continues. This happens multiple times during game play.
I find this rather strange and would like to know if anyone else has noticed this. When I first noticed it in Hungry Shark, I thought maybe it was a problem with the game, but then I started playing Angry Birds and I was seeing the same behavior. I have to believe that this is a hardware or OS conflict since it is happening in multiple apps. I don't remember seeing any notifications or phone calls when this happens.
The A key has stopped working and all the other keys are slow to respond. When the backlight turns black, the only thing I can do to get it back on is to press and hold the off button till the screen reappears, whereas usually I can press any key if the keypad is unlocked which it is...Also sometimes it'll freeze and none of the keys will work yet the rollerball will...I've pulled the battery out and also checked to see if it needed an update through the blackberry desktop software but nothing, been reading some posts to see if anything will help but nothing yet.I want to try wiping the phone by going to option>security options>general... etc and wiping the handheld but it appears I don't have a general tab, once I go into the security options I have Advanced scurity options, encryption, firewall, information and security wipe but none of these help (I want to wipe the whole handheld not do the security wipe).

My IPhone is not booting up at all. I called up customer care, they told me to press home button & start up button together but nothing happened.
Also, I bought Iphone when I was in US. Now, when I am living in India - None of the authorised apple repair centres are ready to touch the phone. In india Iphones are not repaired, they are replaced directly.
Since, the phone is bought in US, it can be repaired in US only. This is so frustrating. No one had informed me this 10 months back when I was buying the IPhone.

my iphone recently started re-booting itself every 30 seconds or so. this will go on all day until the battery dies. i have tried letting the battery run completely flat then re-charing it but it still continues to re-boot on and off the charger. i have also tried to updat my software and restore the phone using itunes, but in both cases when the phone re-boots it is unable to continue with what it is doing as the phone will not stay switched on for long enough to let it complete.

Basically my iPhone's battery was losing 1% per minute, but while on standby it was great. So after some research i saw that if u uninstall mobile substrate and install it again this may fix battery issues. So i uninstalled it through cydia and when i rebooted my device and use blackra1n to start it up (as it is a tethered 3.1.2 jailbreak with new bootrom 3gs) geohots pic comes up for about 45 seconds and then it turns off. I have tried booting it up 10 times and it's still not starting up.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI just got my 3gs 16gb white iphone on Dec 23rd, and it went completely black and died (went black while the battery was pretty full) I was browsing on safari a few minutes prior to noticing it had gone black. I was able to restore it but I'm pretty worried how frequent this is supposed to happen and how dependable the iphone is. I'm not always going to have my laptop with me and the whole point of me getting the iphone was to upgrade to a more reliable device. Also when I restored my phone none of my third party applications were restored. Will I have to download these again? and are the data that was saved within the applications irreplaceable?
View 15 Replies View RelatedJust wondering if anyone else notices that when they first turn on (power up) their 3GS the battery meter reads really low, like below 20% sometimes, but then after 5 seconds or so will correct and read what it actually is, i.e. 50%.I thought this may be due to jailbreaking but after restoring it still happens. It will even occur first thing in the morning after I have just fully charged my phone but the discrepancy between the initial read and the actual read seems to grow throughout the day. For instance this morning the difference was only 6% where as right now it is 22% (shows 28% then goes to 50%).
I am going to run the phone until it dies today and then try fully charging it to see if that solves it. Any other suggestions/recommendations are welcome.
Since iOS 5.1 upgrade, my 3GS keeps re-booting when I use the camera or the Maps app.

I just jailbreak and unlocked then I went to do a master reset and delete everything now it is stuck at the apple booting screen, and sometimes I get a little loading circle. Itunes wont recognize it.

My phone has gotten to where when I am typing a text message it'll get so slow and almost freeze up and just stop and I got to wait and let it come back before I finish. I am running .131 on my Alltel 8330. Also, the 507 error I believe it is, happens to me a lot & I have had to completely reinstall the whole OS so many times. My battery doesn't really last very long at all. It doesn't compare to many that I hear about & my signal just isn't that great. Sometimes it runs good & won't really be that slow or lag but these past couple days it has been lagging bad & even with scrolling. Memory is NOT an issue I can reboot up with 45 & it'll go down to around 39 throughout the day.
I've tried .127 OS that my phone came with, used .131, used a hybrid before and tried .169 but the notification problem is too annoying.
My iPhone 4S sometimes stops playing music by itself while I am playing music. This occurs while my phone is on standby/locked mode; that is I am not using any apps.

i have a problem with video playing. i put some video from my pc via nokia pc suite and convert it to my n97.

View 6 Replies View RelatedSomething is not right with my N900, I woke up today and found that my N900 is switched off and i try to switch it back on but it wont boot up, it got stuck on the Nokia logo and then thats it, it just goes blank and completely off again, also the LED is glowing lemon-green while the screen is blank and going off. I remember before going asleep that the battery power is on 50% or more.
My recently installed items are Black Plastic Theme, some loopable wallpaper from N900wallpaper website and the multiplayer Super Mario from the Extras-repo which I wanted to try but got really sleepy, also its OC'ed to 1Ghz under ideal settings using Titans kernel.
I tried removing the battery and waited 30 seconds and plugin the USB cable (PC-to-N900 coz thats how I always recharge) and it booted up like everything is okay. Can someone give me an idea of what could be possibly wrong with this coz I was really alarmed and kinda freaked out.
