I have a iPhone 3G and after the iOS4 update, my phone has been lagging beyond belief. It seems like its freezing when im texting someone and its slow when i'm on my iPod setting. I only have 4 apps on it but around 400 songs on it . Anyone know if I should see an Apple Genius about it?

So ive been with the Galaxy since the S3, and each one ends up becoming the same. They are great when i first get them, then within the first 2 months, they pretty much turn into crap. The UI isnt smooth, things take a while to open, apps dont transition to another smoothly, opening texts,, going back and forth between texts and apps arent the best and i constantly get problems to the point i need to do a warranty exchange with tmobile.
Even with a rooted phone i experience the same. Whenever i test out my friends iphone, everything seems to be super quick and fluid, just not customizable and limited to what you can do..What can i do to improve my phone or this is just how these galaxies are?
I've had my Storm 2 for about 5 months now and at first it was running awesome-ly. Now, if I type to fast during a message of any sort, it'll freeze on that screen and I won't be able to do anything until I hit the back button and re enter the message I was writing to finish it. Also, I've noticed that apps crash a lot, and that overall, it is just much slower. I'm very good about closing apps when I'm done with them, so I don't really know where this lag could be from.

My satio is freezing on the number 8 in the texting page and when even on my homescreen it is switching to the music folder because the glitch is on the music icon at the base of the screen where the number 8 would appear when texting. I have run the newest update with no success.

Not only does the phone sometimes take a good 3+ seconds to find the name I type in in the search box but after I input text and hit the send button, at times it could take 5 seconds to actually go out. View 1 Replies View RelatedSo i got a new blackberry curve 9360 for Christmas but recently it has gotten very slow and most of the time when i try to unlock it nothing will happen for a good few minutes and then the phone will unlock like it has frozen. I havent dropped it or anything yet and the only apps i have are the ones that came with it like google and facebook and then the bbm.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI got the Edge a month ago. I transferred across from an iPhone - using the Smart Switch app to transfer all of my data across as well.
Since the transfer, the messaging app freezes, becomes unresponsive or is incredibly slow (especially in text threads with a lot of messages in this). This means that the keyboard freezes, words/letters won't appear for a while after they have been typed, sometimes the keyboard doesn't appear at all, and the messages thread takes a long time to update.
What can I do about this? How can I stop my messages app freezing so often? I really enjoy the edge, but the fact that I can't message properly (or that it freezes/is so slow) is ruining the phone for me.
Had a Wildfire for a few days, now, and am getting very frustrated by its slow response and constant freezing. I have loaded a couple of apps from the Android Market (MyPhoneExplorer and SqueezeBox Commander), but, apart from that it is fairly standard. For instance, if the screen has powered off then I press the power button - up pops the display, showing time. Sometimes, if it tap the screen, it says screen is locked and drag down, but, often it doesn't and I have to power off/on again. When it does appear, it is a total lottery whether it will drag down and unlock - occasionally, it drags half way even! It is as if the CPU is going flat out doing something else and can't be bothered to respond to what I am doing.

When the backlight turns black, the only thing I can do to get it back on is to press and hold the off button till the screen reappears, whereas usually I can press any key if the keypad is unlocked which it is...Also sometimes it'll freeze and none of the keys will work yet the rollerball will...I've pulled the battery out and also checked to see if it needed an update through the blackberry desktop software but nothing, been reading some posts to see if anything will help but nothing yet.I want to try wiping the phone by going to option>security options>general... etc and wiping the handheld but it appears I don't have a general tab, once I go into the security options I have Advanced scurity options, encryption, firewall, information and security wipe but none of these help (I want to wipe the whole handheld not do the security wipe).

I have a iphone 3g not 3gs. I am jailbroken and unlocked on 3.1.2. I need to have the unlocked since I use T-Mobile. Lately, the phone has been really buggy and lags a lot. I have restored it a few times already, but after a few months the phone will eventually begin lagging. After some research, people said that it could be a file that was backed up causing the lag. I was thinking about restore to 3.1.2 and not perform a backup of anything. Would this be the best solution? Can I still restore to 3.1.2 using a custom firmware? or Should I just delete all my programs and see if that fixes the issue? Is there any other reasons why the phone would lag?

I have biteSMS version 4.98, and a replacment icon, that changes it to the stock messages icon, when i click on the bitesms icon to open up my messages, it pops up to a white screen (i see header with all the menu and compose button and edit button... but my messages list is blank then about 10-20 seconds later... it pops up and works ok, when i am txting someone, and i get a txt while typing it gets really laggy and slows for about 10 seconds then everything comes through (i hear the sound but get no message for about 10 seconds (sometimes it just crashes right back to home screen)
Whenever I borrow a friend's Android phone, including one of my friend's new Droid X, the homescreen always takes at least half a second before it registers my finger page swipe.
Why are ALL Android phones like this? Why can't they make this right?
This is my first iPhone and first apple product. It's amazingly fast and fun. My question is will it become laggy if I download too many apps. Also will having more memory left make the phone faster. I only have a 16gb model.

So my contract is up and it's time to upgrade from my Nexus 4, but I'm cheap and don't need leading edge technology, and one of the devices I'm looking at is the G3 (the other is the Nexus 5). Reviews that I've seen have been overwhelmingly positive, but two problems that I've seen mentioned are:
Lag can be an issue. The device is susceptible to over heating.The thing is, the reviews I've read are months old, so, are these still problems for the G3, or have they been fixed?
Also, as I'm used to the PureAndroid™ experience of the Nexus 4, how is the interface of the G3 out of the box? I've had a chance to play around with one at the store, and it seems fine, but I'm not the type who wants to tinker too much.
I've noticed that there is quite a variance in the time it takes to wake the screen with knock on. Sometimes in a bright Room, it's instant. Other times, from a pocket or dark room, it can take 3 or more seconds.... Of it works at all without having to repeat.
I'm assuming it's a combo of the proximity/light sensor and/or the second screen waking...
My xperia neo v not able to play 720 p video.it is very laggy and from starting audio is out of sync.I have tried to all format like avi,mkv,mp4 but same issue.currently i am on 587 firmware and using mx player for play back.i am using sandisk class 6 16 GB SDHC card.i check the card speed read speed is 10 MB.so is their any way to fix this.

I noticed that sometimes (actually, somewhat frequently) the animation to open the app drawer is a little choppy and laggy. And then the actual app drawer (swiping left and right) also has slightly choppy animation as it moves from each page of apps.
This goes away if you press home, and then return back to the app drawer.
I am just wondering if I have bad phone or it is fine? My phone starts lagging after few minutes of use (when it gets warmer). It is not bad, but everything is launching slower and I see more FPS drops in animations..

At what point did somebody at SE decide that a second hand Nokia OS that isn't compatible with so many Nokia applications was a good Idea?
At what point did somebody at SE decide that a battery that nearly lasts 24 hours if your lucky is acceptable when there are higher capacity alternatives? These are only the basic problems. Seriously Sony Ericsson what were you doing when you thought that this phone was ready for launch? Racing against another manufacturer, " We need to release a new model quick! I've had a Sony Ericsson phone for the past five years but this is my last.
