I have a Blackberry Torch 9800, and it was working fine. Then it switched itself off randomly and my immediate reaction was to reboot it. However when I done this, my phone froze, literally 1/10th into the line, so it's still very close to the beginning of the reboot. I tried rebooting the phone again and it freezes at the exact same place each time.I have tried leaving the battery out, letting the Blackberry reboot overnight, connecting it to my laptop and nothing has worked.
My 9780 Bold restarted after I deleted an app, but won't reboot fully. The white loading bar stalls at about 2/3 in, even when I try to start it up again after a battery pull.
My BB curve 8520 keeps freezing at reboot a the exact same place, the e. Ive taken the battery multiple times and left it to load for up to 45 minutes with no luck. I've wiped the devices memory and its not possible to connect to the computer as for it connect it requires me to put a password in on my BB and since it is frozen it dosent allow me to choose this option.
Starting of today when i reboot my bb, it freezes halfway on the loaidng bar. I've waited for several minnutes and even tried with different batteries, i've also tried with no sim and i have left the bb to rest with no battery on sim in it at all.
My battery went lat this morning and when I got it on charge, it froze about two thirds of the way through the restart. It's been sitting there for 4 hours now, despite trying to remove the battery and start again several times.
Well where to start, i've had so many probs with my curve 9300 lately its really getting on my nerves now. For whatever reason it likes to reset itself at random, which at times has happened 4/5 times in the space of an hour! Plus whenever im browsing on the internet it'll close the page im on saying its too large to load.
My blackberry curve 9320 is constently freezing! Few months back it foze and i had to start up my bb again!! Is there anyway i can stop it freezing or prevent it from constently freezing ??
My Curve keeps randomly freezing and bringing up a little square black clock in the middle of the screen that ticks away. I have to patiently wait and no button works, but once the clock flashes off whatever i have pressed during the time it was frozen, the phone carries out quickly.
Reboot complete (main screen/carrier logo) First Time and Device Usable Second Time Minutes:Seconds 3:13 - 3:37 Custom Theme 3:11 - 3:25 Default Carrier Theme Theme's have no real effect from what I've noticed. Unless you have a really big gfx intense theme. 3:13 - 3:23 Password 3:13 - 3:25 Password + wallpaper on mem card 7:09 - 7:21 "Memory Clean Turned on" + Theme + password + wallpaper on mem card Re-test (that was way too long) 6:36 - 6:45 "Memory Clean Already On" + Theme + password + wallpaper on mem card. 3:23 - 3:45 "Encrytion Media Card Only" + BerryWeather + Theme + password + wallpaper on mem card + Mem Compression Memory Clean and Encrytion (Device Memory Enabled) either one of those on will increase reboot time by atleast 2-3mins. When enabling Device Memory encryption Memory Clean is automatically turned on and can't be disabled. So in my testing reboot time was between 6-7mins. My current config setup is that last test. Since Password is on, I see no need for Device Memory encryption to be on. Without the password you can't gain access to device files. ZonaSnap , QuickLaunch, Blink all preloaded during each test. 8 Email Accounts, about 80 read emails, and 100+ sms, 41 apps anyone that is getting 1-2min reboot please post your settings.
I'm using a Blackberry Curve 9300, it seems to freeze a lot lately, sometimes for hours at a time. Like this morning it froze from 12midnight until 5:30am. When it freezes I get a black squared clock at the centre of my screen. I then decided to whip out everything on my phone thinking if I did that everything will be back to normal. After whipping out all my stuff now not only do I still experience the same problem of freezing, I now lost all my BB Messenger contacts that I can't restore. I now don't know what to do. how do I stop my phone from freezing all the the time and how do I restore all my contacts!
Blackberry Curve 8520: This morning I downloaded an app then rebooted my phone, because it required it. After that the loading screen appeared and started to load then the blackberry screen appeared. Now my phone is stuck on the BlackBerry screen, I took the battery out and tried to the my phone on again which didn't work, and I have also tried to connect it to my computer but it won't recognise it.
My phone will not switch on after BB told me to reboot having downloaded an App! My desktop will not recognise my BB when i attach! BB is stuck and i cannot do anything with it - apart from throwing it out the window!!
My Blackberry torch 9800 is stuck in a reboot loop tried all fixes nothing works, desk top manager wont fix, nor will a download of OS, sounds like a common problem
Whenever I touch my trackpad using my phone the whole phone freezes. I have had it replaced, I've had new software put into the phone, it was working then over night I wake up and the phone isn't working, and it has done that twice. I have rebooted my phone hundreds of times but the same thing keeps happening, I leave it for a few minutes but that doesn't work either.
Does blackberry phones have an 8 month life span? My phone has been freezing and then shutting down. Hard restarts don't work! Don't have much data on the phone
I recently updated my phone to the new software, ever since it has kept freezing.Today it turned it self off and while loading until it has completely froze , it is at the end up of the loading bar and the screen goes off until I press a button and it comes back on to the loading bar, is there anyway I can fix this myself?
I use SlickTasks and BB Calendar. Past few days I've had a lot going on and can have as many as 8 ST alerts + 3 or so calendar alerts pop up at once. (Don't want it that way, it's just the way it worked out.) Anyway, then by Bold freezes up. Usually under a minute or so, then it finally responds and I can dismiss or delay alerts. Is that too many for the phone to handle? The only thing I've done differently lately is d/l a trial of Calendar Pro last week, but missed the 40% off sale deadline so haven't been using it. No alerts are coming from it.
Phone is completely unusable at this point. When powering up, the progress bar goes to about 75% complete and then freezes. I cant find any information on this problem on the website but maybe I am not phrasing my problem correctly. Anyone have any suggestions on this besides throwing it out and getting a different phone?
I am about ready to throw this phone away and I have only had it for 6 months. I have to do a battery pull at least twice a day because it just stops working.
I started the wireless update last night before I went to sleep. It got to the restore process and has not moved. I tried a battery pull, I left the battery out for about 2 or 3 minutes. The phone itself is not frozen. It keeps pulling up the icon that lets you know it is TRYING to work, but no progress is being made. This being my third attempt at getting it to work by using a battery pull, It is stuck at 1% and has been trying to complete the update for 28 minutes.
My 9780 is constantly freezing. A battery pull is all I can do to unfreeze the device, but it freezes again fairly quickly. If I turn the phone on, and check messages, and social feeds the phone usually works normally until I stop.Once I put the phone down, or put it into my pocket it freezes. The only instance where this problem does not occur, is when I have the phone tethered to my computer.I can have the phone on while charging through the wall outlet, and it freezes, but it never happens when I am tethered to my computer.
I am getting extremely frustrated with my phone. For the last couple of weeks, my phone has been freezing. It freezes when I try to send a picture via text message. It freezes when I try to get images in my email. It does not freeze when I use or send pics via BBM. I have deleted pictures, videos and unnecessary apps on my phone. I have pulled the battery on my phone about 50 times in the last couple of weeks, once 6 times in an hour. I have backed it up using BB Desktop. I even bought a new battery but it's still happening. Please note, I have had this phone for 17 months and have NEVER had these issues before. It all started after the last software upgrade (6.0 Bundle 2921 (6.0.0.666, platform 6.6.0.241) about 2 or 3 weeks ago. I am getting extremely frustrated with my phone. My Bold 9700 keeps on freezing or has a clock spinning around for which I have to remove the battery to fix the problem. don't mention the fact that I might have too many apps installed as I don't and even if I did why should it be a problem? I have almost 20 apps on my iPhone and it never caused a problem wrt freezing or stalling.RIM should really up their game as Samsung and Apple will leave them so far behind in the market that it will be impossible to ever catch up.
