BB Bold :: Remove Downloaded Apps From It?
Jul 29, 2011I like the apps offered in BB App World but there is a limit as to how many I can keep. Even though I delete some apps it shows as 'uninstalled' or even 'unavailable'. Is there any way that my deleted apps can be removed totally without evidence that I had it? Another question, are the deleted apps taking up space on the memory on my phone? Can I transfer them somewhere else?

Aug 10, 2010I have just bought a brandnew sim-free BB 9700 off Amazon UK and I have updated the OS to the latest version (v5.0.0.593). I use it with a sim-only O2 Germany pay monthly plan. I have also downloaded Apps World (1.1.0.33), Application Center (5.0.0) and BB Maps (5.0.0) using the Mac Desktop Manager, but they do not appear in the menu. They do appear on the Application list under options. I have rebooted the device as outlined in the BB Online Support instructions (pressing alt/cap/del ///// removing the battery) but there's still no sign of the icons. I have thoroughly looked for them, including sub folders etc, but they do not appear anywhere. Can anyone help?

I downloaded a few apps and all of a sudden it started showing the little loading clock on almost everything I ran, so I deleted a few apps and voala!. It was working good again. But now, I have not downloaded any new apps and is giving me that clock againg.

May 11, 2011When I click the menu button, settings, and manage apps, the screen goes to the 'Manage Apps" screen under the "Running Apps." The phone shows the circular loading icon and never loads. The phone doesn't freeze- I can go back to the home screen and such. If I go to settings, applications, and manage applications, the same screen shows up but under the "downloaded" applications tab and there is no problem. It would be much easier to just go to manage apps under the running apps tab so I can force close.

Jan 11, 2015Just upgraded to S5 about a week ago and I'm finding that several of my downloaded apps are not showing up in the app list, including pre-installed apps like Kindle. Their accompanying widgets show up in the widget list, but the actual app icon is missing from the app list, the only way I can get to the app is either by adding the large widget to a home screen or by going into the playstore and searching for the app. I've tried uninstalling the app and reinstalling it but it doesn't work. In the case of the Kindle app I can't completely uninstall it since it's pre-loaded. Any other way than reformat the phone completely?

Mar 26, 2010So I've done 2 updates with my somewhat new 9700 Bold 2 with my Mac using the BlackBerry Desktop Manager for Mac. I will do backups and syncs before each of my updates always but unfortunately my 9700 fresh out of update has barely any Apps on it (not even all the default apps like AIM, ICQ, Maps, etc.). I'll have to get Desktop Manager going again to find out I need to click on the "Applications" tab and add back all of the original included Applications.
They don't even have all the Apps that I downloaded in that "applications" tab section via BlackBerry App World! Where did all of those Apps go? (Messenger, Poynt, Google Maps, etc.) I'm sick and tired of having to redownload all the apps that I want from App World every time an update rolls around. It's an unlocked Bell 9700 (using Rogers)

However, when I look on the Ipad it is showing the purchase (even on the itunes, account history. For information, I have it set to automatically update purchases and have icloud enabled I also have a very fast wife connection.
