ive got a blackberry touch 9800, i had to reset it to factory settings last night as all my apps disappered it done this after messing a few hours but now all it keeps doing is freezing ive took the battery out and left it for an hour now i cant use anything on it at all can only text can make calls non recive them facebook app freezes app world bbm isnt working i need to send it off so they can look at it?

View 4 Replies View RelatedWhen I click the menu button, settings, and manage apps, the screen goes to the 'Manage Apps" screen under the "Running Apps." The phone shows the circular loading icon and never loads. The phone doesn't freeze- I can go back to the home screen and such. If I go to settings, applications, and manage applications, the same screen shows up but under the "downloaded" applications tab and there is no problem. It would be much easier to just go to manage apps under the running apps tab so I can force close.

View 2 Replies View RelatedMy brand New Tourch 9810 keeps on freezing up - I have to take the battery out in order to get it working again - I can not get onto Facebook, my BBM's doesnt go through, Sms' doesnt go through and when I tried to make a call it says - Call failed. I can not receive calls either - it goes straight to voicemail.
I can not send pics via BBM either - although it show send on my side - the receiver never gets them.
I really like Blackberry but are so frustrated that I want to get another make of phone!
when accessing the applications menu the touch screen will freeze for almost 5 Sec, then it will respond again, but if exit to phone home screen then i access the application menu the problem starts again freezing for 5 Sec.

I have noticed that sometime, when I am in the call logs / browser / menu / messaging screen the screen freezes up. this happens randomly but i have noticed that it happens mostly when I try to unlock the keypad.I am able to move to other open apps while long pressing the home button on the phone but when i try to kill /exit from these apps (by pressing the back button), it gives be a message box as to whether i want to exit the app and when i press "yes", nothing happens.

I unlocked it and im using it for Tmobile....The actual problem is that I want to buy the Playbook and use it with my phone so I went to Best buy to test it... I was able to pair it because I read overthere that i needed the Blackberry bridge... Everything worked fine except the BBM won't bridge with the playbook.. I came home and read a lil bit online about it and noticed that I had to upgrade my BBM to 5.0.3.22 which I did... so when I went back to best buy to test it, I tried turning the bridge on and it froze my phone to the point that i had to remove the battery 3 times... I gave up and left Best buy with no success... I came home and the phone was still acting stupid, so I unninstalled the Bridge...
my concern is... why was it working fine before i upgraded my BBM to 5.0.3.22 (except for the BBM Bridge with playbook)... I mean it wouldn't freeze my torch or anything like that... I'm currently running os 6.0 bundle 695 (v6.0.0.246, platform 6.4.0.105)I really want the playbook but the main features im interested in is to bridge with my Torch..Another problem i have is that i can't download anything from the App world.. I could see apps but when I try to download it will say that the application is not available through app world... I mean ANY app that i try to download.
Had a phone call this morning and my phone fronze, didnt display the call screen but allowed me to answer the call.
Ever since then the phone has been freezing when slid open. Its fine when I keep it closed and just use the touch screen though.
Updated to the latest OS last week (V6.0.0.534).
Today I've:
Tried reboot.
Tried security wipe.
Tried rolling back to last OS release.
Tried latest OS.
Nothing works, still freezing when slid open. The screen has gone strange a couple of times, hard to explain but its green/red/blue colour only, and blurred.
i got told to do a software update of blackberry torch 9810 an its froze at phone options 1of1 anyone know how to sort this without breaking my phone

Switched out battery with my husbands torch and problems persist. Have no retailer in my area to help, need advice...I bought torch second hand so I think It's down to what the manufacturer can do or im stuck with a bad phone....
View 1 Replies View RelatedI swapped iphone with my cousin, for a blackberry torch, the phone not that old, 6 months max, but the last week the phone started freezing and crushing, so i looked on fourms, and ended up doing a fresh install off the Os and formated the memory card and did not save the old settings.
But the phone kept on doing the same thing, so i wiped the Os, installed the most uptodate Os i could find, and it still keeps on crashing and sometimes it will do this as the phone loads, as it finishes loading up, or after couple hours.
So its safe to say, it cant be a app, or Os playing up.
Also the main thing i have noticed if the phone stays nice and cool, the phone will work fine, but once the phone warms up a little bit, thats when it starts to crash/freeze/reboot, but sometimes the phone will not turn on after putting the battery back, you have to leave the phone for 5 mins or so.
Could it be a type off thermal cut off to protect the phone? or battery? But the only thing i cant understand is, the phone or battery dont get hot, just warm.
I live in Canada and when I cross oever to the United States i need to shut down my provider in order not to pay fees for roaming I`ve done this often in the past without any problems until yesterday.ver since i turned it back on, the hourglass icon pops up every few seconds which is extremely annoying My BB is only 18 months old but must say I seriously think i have a lemon. I`ve always had odd problems with it.Problems none of my friends have with theirs.This is really making me think of swithcing to Apple Does anyone else have this latest problem with their Torch 9800

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have the Torch (9800) OS version: 6.0.0.668.I've had it for just over a year without problems but recently it will freeze to the point where I have to do a battery pull because it won't resolve the issue otherwise. Even then sometimes it doesn't come back on. It will slowly flash red (LED light) and the screen will remain black.It's done this twice where it won't turn back on at all. Eventually it does but the last time it did this, it didn't work for 2 days before coming back on (of it's own accord). I updated the software when it finally came back on as I was told it could be a software issue so I now have the OS version stated at the top of this message as opposed to 6.0.0.600.

I see memory phone of 256 MB full with USB connected to PC. When I look inside the folders, nothing in some, no large file in others.
1. Why the phone memory is full? I did not install apps on the C drive aka phone memory, I did not put photos, videos or anything there, I don't use email.
2. Why I cannot find the files that occupy the memory? No large file can be seen.
3. Is this the cause of phone auto restarting and the cause some applications are crashing, closing in front of my eyes or in the background?
Why when I receive a simple call and I have only a game open after the call ends the game is already crashed / closed?
My phone won't let me download apps or updates for apps

My school e-mail is weird because when I go inside everything looks exactly like gmail but it isn't exactly gmail beacuse you can't sign on from www.gmail.com. Gotta go through the school website.
