i did an update and my phone seemed fine but now its constantly freezing and keeps locking itself could the update have anything to do with this the version i have is 7.0.0 bundle 2406

I have just purchased a Lumia 800 which has the latest update and find it very fustrating that My music player will randomly pause and freeze/lock the phone rendering it usless until I reset the phone. This happens when I am using the phone while listening to musicThis issue is not an isolated case and has happened to many people with the Mango 7.5 (just google it). Microsoft were apparently investigating the issue, but this was some time ago and since then still no solution.Why does Nokia release newer phones with Windows 8 but dont solve issues with existing ones.Arrrrrggghhhh! my first Windows phone (after moving from Android) and I am NOT happy...Please don't give me a standard response like take it to a service centre because this seems like a software issue rather than hardware and the phone has the latest version already.So my question is,if there is a workaround to this and if not when can we expect to have an update to this problem ?
View 7 Replies View RelatedWe have two iPhone 3GSs in the household, my dads and my moms.I installed iOS4 on both. And both seem to freeze, lock up, drop calls, have occasional weird glitches far more frequently than they did on 3.1.2 (3.1.3 caused issues as well but not as frequently as on iOS4) Sometimes, the lock screen doesn't unlock and the my slide to unlock it isn't recognized (fixed by hard rebooting the phone).
One time the phone froze completely on the Contacts menu.I'm wondering if the proximity sensor might be glitching and causing some of these dropped calls as well.iOS4 is awesome, don't get me wrong. But my parent's getting glitches is annoying as hell. They were hesistant about going with a smartphone instead of a simple flip phone already, and this isn't helping. Is anyone else having these issues or similar ones?Did Apple screw the pooch when it comes to bug testing the new OS?I wish Apple would just let us go back to 3.1.2 on our iPhones. That worked flawlessly where as the subsequent versions all have serious issues.
I have 2 month old Blackberry Curve 8520. Trackpad on it is constantly freezing. Have tried the battery pull out solution which worked the first few times. Now it has stopped working completely. It has also started to have blurry images on the screen when you try to switch it on and off.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a newly purchased 9900 from Rogers, and I've done all of the software updates that desktopmngr prompts me to install..The phone will periodically bring up the "clock" as if its waiting and calculating something, or just be unresponsive. It will also occur when the phone is in keylock mode, not the "clock" but just be unresponsive.I've installed no apps, made mods, or anything.And this occurs whether the battery is full or not (the phone does get quite a bit slower when the batt is almost dead as well).Is there a new OS available? I didn't see anything on the rogers site.

A battery pull is all I can do to unfreeze the device, but it freezes again fairly quickly.If I turn the phone on, and check messages, and social feeds the phone usually works normally until I stop.Once I put the phone down, or put it into my pocket it freezes. The only instance where this problem does not occur, is when I have the phone tethered to my computer.I can have the phone on while charging through the wall outlet, and it freezes, but it never happens when I am tethered to my computer.

My s2 keeps freezing, has constant drag and is just being a tad bit annoying.
i bought the phone new, i had rooted it and put a custom rom on. the custom rom ran fine for months so i doubt that is was a dodgy rom. then one day i just started getting these problems. so i took off the rooted rom, and when the problem was still there i unrooted (if that is the term) and rebooted to factory settings. i still have the problem though.
Mine started locking up yesterday, it's stock, not rooted.

My contacts constantly freeze, sometimes to the point where it takes 5 minutes to work through the kill all apps, force close, wait, etc to get to the dialpad or contact names and make a call. Not farmiliar enough with Android to figure this out.One of the reoccuring messages is - Activity Dialer (in application Contacts Storage) is not responding - Force Closed/ WaitI believe it has something to do with the contacts because I have also loaded the app Tikl, and when it asks for my contacts there is 20 or so of the same contact and it then freezes when I try to scroll through them...I have deleted a few apps that appeared to run without being loaded. I use Battery Dr. to kill the apps.
View 6 Replies View RelatedBasically, my phone freezes at least 6/7 times a day, just doing stupid things like loading facebook it'll just cut off completely, and when I leave it it either goes to an error page, or just stays like that for the next half hour or so, until I get annoyed and pull the battery. Lately it's started taking longer and longer to reset after pulling the battery. Yesterday it took me 3/4 of an hour to get it to load, and then it froze again straight away, then it loaded within about half an hour after. Today it took closer to an hour to load up again, it got stuck half way up the loading bar and just stayed there, and just as I was about to try pulling the battery it started moving again.

It really is not.Consider that as I type this text from my n8, the browser has freezed twice, the phone has rebooted once. I have called Nokia and have exhusted every option which included reloading Bella. Last resort is Nokia want's me to send my phone to Texas for a tech to investagate the problem. I think there is some kind of software problem with the locking of the phone screen and the locking switch logic on the side of the phone. When the problem happens the sceen will not work to my touch. The sceen freezes without touching.

I purchased my Blackberry Torch 7 hrs ago from a local ATT store and since I have activated it, it has locked up on me eight times. I have read some of the reviews where people have stated that this can be an issue. Is there a fix because I really like this BB but I need it to be dependable.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have had a Blackberry Torch 9800 for 12 months and I removed it from my vehicles "Hands Free Kit" and put it in my phone holder on my belt. When I removed the phone from my holder, the screen was black and frozen and none of the button worked, not even the touch screen. The phone works correctly if I open the slide but shuts off when I close the slide again. When the slide is opened I have no on screen typing and have to use the keyboard on the slide. When I put the phone back in my hands free kit, the slide needs to be closed so I cannot answer any calls or use the touch screen.

I got my blackberry torch 2 (9860 series) about 3 weeks ago my trouble is that when ever I use the lock button on the top of the phone the display turns off for about 1-10 seconds and then turns on again and is fully functional, not having locked the screen or buttons at all... This is a pain as one can tell as I can't put it in my pocket or anywhere without it going through settings and changing things, sending random text messages etc, what should I do to change this and have it work properly?

View 5 Replies View Relatedi've had my Blackberry torch for less than 24 hours and i am already having problems. It was working fine until i had synced some music onto it from my pc. When i disconnected it, it flashed red in the LED indicator and turned off then rebooted. Problem is, it will reboot then turn on and verify the security software, it will stay on for about 7 seconds, then the LED flashes again, turns off, reboots and does the whole thing over and over continuously. However, when i connect it to the computer in the few seconds it is actually on, it appears to work fine and I don't have this problem at all. It starts again as soon as i take the USB out though. Oh, and I have done a battery pull & it didn't make a difference & the phone is 100% charged.
