I have 2 month old Blackberry Curve 8520. Trackpad on it is constantly freezing. Have tried the battery pull out solution which worked the first few times. Now it has stopped working completely. It has also started to have blurry images on the screen when you try to switch it on and off.
View 1 RepliesI have a Curve 9300 with OS 6. I cannot return the device to the original retailer (out of warranty).This is kind of what happens.
1.)Trackpad stops scrolling after backlight switches back on. After waiting 10 seconds it works ok
2.) After an hour or so the trackpad stops scrolling entirely. The "push button" of trackpad still works though.
3.) I hard reset the device. Trackpad stops working entirely (doesnt scroll and pushing it as a button does not work either)
4.) I send phone in for repairs.
5.) If it works after "cleaning and reseating trackpad" my phone works fine for a few days. Then problem starts all over again.
6.)If cleaning does not work, they replace my trackpad. This usually works for a few weeks to a month. Then the problem starts all over again?I am getting sick of having the phone getting sent in for the trackpad to just be replaced again and again.
My blackberry curve's trackpad keeps freezing up, so I can't do anything with it. I can just about navigate through my messages as I can click on things with the trackpad & thank god for keyboard shortcuts ! I found a post saying that I had to tighten the TX screw or something of the sort but I'm worried I'll do something and then it'll no longer be under guarantee.

I cannot scroll left to right, but sometimes I can still select by pressing the trackpad. This still make it useless as I cannot scroll to what I want to select.Pulling the battery does not fix this. I have good app memory so that's not the issue.

I give up now, I have tried all sorts and this was a gift for my birthday a month ago, I'm quite disappointed as this was my first blackberry and I don't think I'll be buying another one.

That's continued happening, getting more and more frequent and now sometimes I have to restart my phone two or three times for it to work... Everything else on my phone works even when the trackpad is frozen I just have to find another way to get to whatevr it is that I am trying to do. I can't scroll up or down or side to side but I have found out a way to munipulate my way through options and different menus and hotkeys..

My phone is v4.6.1.314 if that makes a difference.
I just got my Blackberry a few days ago, and noticed that the trackpad is not working very well. It seems to either freeze intermittently, or not pick up the movement of my thumb. Either way, it's not working right.It's extremely frustrating when you just want to scroll over and choose an option but the thing won't work!Has anyone else had this happen to them with the new trackpad? Does anyone know of a solution, or should I return the phone for a new one?

View 9 Replies View RelatedBasically, my phone freezes at least 6/7 times a day, just doing stupid things like loading facebook it'll just cut off completely, and when I leave it it either goes to an error page, or just stays like that for the next half hour or so, until I get annoyed and pull the battery. Lately it's started taking longer and longer to reset after pulling the battery. Yesterday it took me 3/4 of an hour to get it to load, and then it froze again straight away, then it loaded within about half an hour after. Today it took closer to an hour to load up again, it got stuck half way up the loading bar and just stayed there, and just as I was about to try pulling the battery it started moving again.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a newly purchased 9900 from Rogers, and I've done all of the software updates that desktopmngr prompts me to install..The phone will periodically bring up the "clock" as if its waiting and calculating something, or just be unresponsive. It will also occur when the phone is in keylock mode, not the "clock" but just be unresponsive.I've installed no apps, made mods, or anything.And this occurs whether the battery is full or not (the phone does get quite a bit slower when the batt is almost dead as well).Is there a new OS available? I didn't see anything on the rogers site.

A battery pull is all I can do to unfreeze the device, but it freezes again fairly quickly.If I turn the phone on, and check messages, and social feeds the phone usually works normally until I stop.Once I put the phone down, or put it into my pocket it freezes. The only instance where this problem does not occur, is when I have the phone tethered to my computer.I can have the phone on while charging through the wall outlet, and it freezes, but it never happens when I am tethered to my computer.

i bought the phone new, i had rooted it and put a custom rom on. the custom rom ran fine for months so i doubt that is was a dodgy rom. then one day i just started getting these problems. so i took off the rooted rom, and when the problem was still there i unrooted (if that is the term) and rebooted to factory settings. i still have the problem though.
Mine started locking up yesterday, it's stock, not rooted.

Not farmiliar enough with Android to figure this out.One of the reoccuring messages is - Activity Dialer (in application Contacts Storage) is not responding - Force Closed/ WaitI believe it has something to do with the contacts because I have also loaded the app Tikl, and when it asks for my contacts there is 20 or so of the same contact and it then freezes when I try to scroll through them...I have deleted a few apps that appeared to run without being loaded. I use Battery Dr. to kill the apps.

It really is not.Consider that as I type this text from my n8, the browser has freezed twice, the phone has rebooted once.
