BB Curve :: Trackpad Won't Go Up / Down When Checking Me
Dec 5, 2012
My trackpad wont go up and down when checking messages like text and whatsapp, but it functions normally when not checking messages....like it can go up and down in menu and internet page
I have a Curve 9300 with OS 6. I cannot return the device to the original retailer (out of warranty). This is kind of what happens.
1.)Trackpad stops scrolling after backlight switches back on. After waiting 10 seconds it works ok
2.) After an hour or so the trackpad stops scrolling entirely. The "push button" of trackpad still works though.
3.) I hard reset the device. Trackpad stops working entirely (doesnt scroll and pushing it as a button does not work either)
4.) I send phone in for repairs.
5.) If it works after "cleaning and reseating trackpad" my phone works fine for a few days. Then problem starts all over again.
6.)If cleaning does not work, they replace my trackpad. This usually works for a few weeks to a month. Then the problem starts all over again?I am getting sick of having the phone getting sent in for the trackpad to just be replaced again and again.
I am also not able to check in on facebook places. This is a work phone and my colleague who has exactly the same Curve 8520 IS able to check in on facebook places with no problem at all. I do not believe that this is a "GPS" issue. I paired my husbands Torch 9800 to my curve via bluetooth and it now allows me to set location setting to the ON position but still am not able to check in.
I just bought my Blackberry Curve 8520 3 weeks ago. I'm just wondering why I can't use Facebook Places. My cousin has also the same unit but she can use it. I go to Settings then Options then Advance Options and I can only find Location Settings. I have paired my phone to same Blackberry 8520. Location Services is ON. Location Data is ENABLED. And one thing more, I cannot received files through bluetooth.
I dropped my phone once or twice: whether this is the reason or not, now when I plug the phone charger in, every time I take it out it tells me there is something wrong with the disk.I finally reinstalled Blackberry manager on my MAC, and when I try to start working with the Blackberry it appears that it wants to reformat my disk; That is something I definitely DO NOT want to do since I have thousands of contacts on there. What can I do? PS I have a new Blackberry that i want to move this data to, but it is looking like it will be impossible. The last time I tried to sync or download with software on my MAC it killed my hard drive. And of course I was never able to do so. I use Entourage
I recently upgraded to the latest 8320 OS 4.5 using the "CrackMem method". As a result, Options > About does not work for me to find out my firmware. Is there any alternate option to get this information (KB shortcut, perhaps)?
I can login to my mobile bank website, but when I try to get my balance I get nothing. My banks IT department said if I can access it via my PC using the same address and all comes up good, then I need to speak with my carrier. Knowing the tools I'll end up getting if I call Sprint, I figured someone here with a lot more intelligence than any CS might be able to point to the right direction. I'm sure it some security setting that I don't have right, just find it odd that I can get that far into the site with no issues.
I usually hold down "1 but for some reason that's not working anymore. When I do that it asks me, "Assign a Speed Dial to the W key?". I'm not sure why it doesn't work, heck, I hardly even need to check it.
So i got my blackberry back at the End of july, and ever since blackberry went down in September i believe my track pad has not been functioning correctly. 3 weeks ago my track pad decided to stop working all together and i havn't gotten it to work since.
I recently had water damage to my phone, I put it in the bowl of rice now everything works but the trackpad. How do I navigate? I've read about creating shortcuts but I can't use any of the methods because I can't scroll
i've tried to type my password to get into my phone but i had to use the enter button to get onto it. then when i tried to scroll along it wasn't working. it also won't let me click on anything by pressing on the trackpad
I have a BB Curve 3G 9300 which I have bought in London about 14 months ago.Right now I am in Brazil & the track / touch pad from my BB does not work at all. I was looking up on the internet & found out that there was a faulty batch with this issue.I cannot use my phone because the trackpad is faulty. What can I do in order to get it fixed or replaced?is there any other option for me to get my normal phone back?
My blackberry curve's trackpad keeps freezing up, so I can't do anything with it. I can just about navigate through my messages as I can click on things with the trackpad & thank god for keyboard shortcuts ! I found a post saying that I had to tighten the TX screw or something of the sort but I'm worried I'll do something and then it'll no longer be under guarantee.
My trackpad on my 9300 is scrolling by itself, when I start scrolling on bbm, fb, menu etc. It will start scrolling down by itself when not in use. It's really bugging me and don't know how to fix it. Does anyone know how to make it stop or fix it?
A few weeks ago I was on my phone and it was dying, I went to get the charger but it had already died. I plugged it in and turned it on but the scroller wouldn't move. It would click but no matter what I tried it wouldn't move. I looked it up and it said it needed to be wiped, so stupidly I wiped my phone. But still, nothing. It would just click. Now, it's stuck on terms and conditions and non-usable. I've had to use my old blackberry which is falling apart I tried looking again online to see if there was any other solutions and I came across one saying that the software needed to be update.
My trackpad is not working. I left it on the side before I slept last night, this morning I woke up and it was turned on; i unlocked it and it turned off, everytime i turned it on it turned off again, the button on the trackpad works but it does not scroll.
I have Curve8520 which is couple of years old. It has creating problems in terms of trackpad. The trackpad is not scrolling. I have re-installed the OS, but it is still not working.
Alright, so the trackpad isn't working, but at the same time it is. When I use it with my bare skin, it doesn't work, it takes many swips to do anything. But when I use it with say a piece of tape, or a cloth on the end of my fingers it works great and without a problem.
It's a used phone so swapping it is not an option, but is there some way to fix it?
I went to go on my phone and the scrollpad wouldn't work, so I took it to the shop and they said update the OS to the latest, so I did, and now it only works if I REALLY lightly touch it and only then it works a tiny bit for abit a second, but it's clicking fine!
My trackpad on my Blackberry 9300 is not working, I can not go; up, down, left or right and I can not click on anything. I have reset my phone countless times.
i have a curve 9300 and the stupid trackpad keeps freezing :'( im getting pretty frusterated cuz i cant do anything at all with my phone and its starting to really piss me off.
my blackberry curve 9300 track pad just stopped working. i tried removing the battery and sim card, several times, to reboot the phone but it didnt work. later on i tried to re-insert my sim card, the track pad is moving up and down, left to right, but when i try using for clicking and opening sms or email for example, it couldnt possibly work.also, my email started coming in, but sms does not, it keeps on popping a message that my sim card messaging memory is full, when i no longer have sms kept because i deleted them to save space.
i have done nothing to damage my phone. a few weeks ago, my trackpad would not work, but i plugged it into the charger and took the battery out again. about a week ago,the same thing happened and the same thing helped it. today though,it happened again, and plugging it into the charger and taking out the blackberry didnt help it. i cant get to much on my phone, as obviously i cant get to a lot as i cant use the trackpad.
my phone is working properly the letters still work and the buttons on the side of my phone and my phone isnt frozen atall but the track pad isnt responding other then being used as an enter button . i have lots of texts on my phone i need to read, is there anyway i can fix the trackpad or get to my messages ?
I have 2 month old Blackberry Curve 8520. Trackpad on it is constantly freezing. Have tried the battery pull out solution which worked the first few times. Now it has stopped working completely. It has also started to have blurry images on the screen when you try to switch it on and off.
