My trackpad wont go up and down when checking messages like text and whatsapp, but it functions normally when not checking messages....like it can go up and down in menu and internet page
View 3 RepliesI have a Curve 9300 with OS 6. I cannot return the device to the original retailer (out of warranty).This is kind of what happens.
1.)Trackpad stops scrolling after backlight switches back on. After waiting 10 seconds it works ok
2.) After an hour or so the trackpad stops scrolling entirely. The "push button" of trackpad still works though.
3.) I hard reset the device. Trackpad stops working entirely (doesnt scroll and pushing it as a button does not work either)
4.) I send phone in for repairs.
5.) If it works after "cleaning and reseating trackpad" my phone works fine for a few days. Then problem starts all over again.
6.)If cleaning does not work, they replace my trackpad. This usually works for a few weeks to a month. Then the problem starts all over again?I am getting sick of having the phone getting sent in for the trackpad to just be replaced again and again.
I am also not able to check in on facebook places. This is a work phone and my colleague who has exactly the same Curve 8520 IS able to check in on facebook places with no problem at all. I do not believe that this is a "GPS" issue. I paired my husbands Torch 9800 to my curve via bluetooth and it now allows me to set location setting to the ON position but still am not able to check in.

I go to Settings then Options then Advance Options and I can only find Location Settings. I have paired my phone to same Blackberry 8520. Location Services is ON. Location Data is ENABLED. And one thing more, I cannot received files through bluetooth.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI dropped my phone once or twice: whether this is the reason or not, now when I plug the phone charger in, every time I take it out it tells me there is something wrong with the disk.I finally reinstalled Blackberry manager on my MAC, and when I try to start working with the Blackberry it appears that it wants to reformat my disk; That is something I definitely DO NOT want to do since I have thousands of contacts on there.What can I do? PS I have a new Blackberry that i want to move this data to, but it is looking like it will be impossible. The last time I tried to sync or download with software on my MAC it killed my hard drive. My banks IT department said if I can access it via my PC using the same address and all comes up good, then I need to speak with my carrier. Knowing the tools I'll end up getting if I call Sprint, I figured someone here with a lot more intelligence than any CS might be able to point to the right direction. I'm sure it some security setting that I don't have right, just find it odd that I can get that far into the site with no issues.

I can just about navigate through my messages as I can click on things with the trackpad & thank god for keyboard shortcuts ! It would click but no matter what I tried it wouldn't move. I looked it up and it said it needed to be wiped, so stupidly I wiped my phone. But still, nothing. It would just click. Now, it's stuck on terms and conditions and non-usable. View 4 Replies View RelatedAlright, so the trackpad isn't working, but at the same time it is. When I use it with my bare skin, it doesn't work, it takes many swips to do anything. But when I use it with say a piece of tape, or a cloth on the end of my fingers it works great and without a problem.
It's a used phone so swapping it is not an option, but is there some way to fix it?
I went to go on my phone and the scrollpad wouldn't work, so I took it to the shop and they said update the OS to the latest, so I did, and now it only works if I REALLY lightly touch it and only then it works a tiny bit for abit a second, but it's clicking fine!

View 9 Replies View Relatedmy blackberry curve 9300 track pad just stopped working. i tried removing the battery and sim card, several times, to reboot the phone but it didnt work. later on i tried to re-insert my sim card, the track pad is moving up and down, left to right, but when i try using for clicking and opening sms or email for example, it couldnt possibly work.also, my email started coming in, but sms does not, it keeps on popping a message that my sim card messaging memory is full, when i no longer have sms kept because i deleted them to save space.
