Jun 20, 2011I am also not able to check in on facebook places. This is a work phone and my colleague who has exactly the same Curve 8520 IS able to check in on facebook places with no problem at all. I do not believe that this is a "GPS" issue. I paired my husbands Torch 9800 to my curve via bluetooth and it now allows me to set location setting to the ON position but still am not able to check in.

Feb 27, 2011I dropped my phone once or twice: whether this is the reason or not, now when I plug the phone charger in, every time I take it out it tells me there is something wrong with the disk.I finally reinstalled Blackberry manager on my MAC, and when I try to start working with the Blackberry it appears that it wants to reformat my disk; That is something I definitely DO NOT want to do since I have thousands of contacts on there.What can I do? PS I have a new Blackberry that i want to move this data to, but it is looking like it will be impossible. The last time I tried to sync or download with software on my MAC it killed my hard drive. My banks IT department said if I can access it via my PC using the same address and all comes up good, then I need to speak with my carrier. Knowing the tools I'll end up getting if I call Sprint, I figured someone here with a lot more intelligence than any CS might be able to point to the right direction. I'm sure it some security setting that I don't have right, just find it odd that I can get that far into the site with no issues.

Oct 9, 2011Sometimes, when I am actively using my XPRT, scrolling a web page, or looking at game scores, pretty much any activity I use the phone for, the screen will just shut off. I have the delays set very high, like 2 minutes or more, but the screen still gets in the mode of just wanting to be off.
So, the screen shuts off, I have to press the button on top the phone, then swipe the little slider to get back to what I'm doing. Then within 1 or 2 or 3 seconds it shuts off again. The happens for 6 or 8 or 10 times, then things return to normal. Then I can use the phone as normal again and the screen stays on.

At first i thought it was an iOS8 bug and that it would go away after an update or so. But the problem persisted even after updating to iOS8.1.1.
