I have had my bold 9000 since it was released and lately the scroll ball has been a pain it wont let me scroll down. I`ve cleaned it with alcohol also put the phone on its face on a flat surface rolled it around it that way. any other ideas?
View 5 RepliesThe track ball on my BB Curve 8330 will scroll left and right but not up or down, which really limits my use of it. I tried taking out the battery, cleaning the ball with alcohol, turning it off and back on. The ball seems loose - not sticky.

I got it fixed by paying a good amount of repairing charge. The phone worked fine for a week but again the track ball has stopped responding. Its creating a huge problem and I do not know where to get it fixed. I am extremely dissatisfied with the phone and Blackberry services.

View 6 Replies View RelatedOK I have checked other threads and havent found a solution...it could be that there isn't one but somehow I am optimistic. Saturday night my phone worked fine. I go to bed wake up and my scroll ball wont click. It scrolls fine but does not select when pressed. I took it to Verizon, they claim water damage. I haven't dropped it in water or anything like that so I am not sure how that's possible. They replaced my trackball and it still doesn't work. Any additional ideas? I can go the Asurion and replace it but don't really want to do that for something as minute as this.

To answer a text message at this point (after there is a message notification), I have to scroll to message Icon, click with ball, hit menu key, scroll down to "view folder", and then scroll to "SMS Inbox". Surely there is a simpler way to this?
I've also read about combining SMS and MMS messages into a single message type-is this possible? Can I at least combine the inbox/outboxes?
I am having problems zooming in to a subject I wish to photo via the scroll button and the volume button. Any ideas?

I know I can email them to myself to get them, but the trackball quit scrolling upwards. I would like to get them off this phone so I can get a new one. I can now scroll up & to the right which I could not do..However, the two keys to the right of the track ball stopped working. "back key" and the hang up/power key. They dont do anything.. Also, when pushing the track ball in as to utiltize the "enter function" also does not work.

I seem to remember that if I was looking at a 10am appointment on any day I could scroll sideways to check out the same time frame on subsequent or previouse days. With .593 I seem to have to scroll up to the top row showing days to be able to move days and then back down to the relevant time slot.Either I am imagining it or this facility is not in recent OS builds?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI did an OS update from my computer and when that didn't work pushed a complete wipe and reinstall with JL_Cmder. That sorted out the WSOD issues however the trackpad will now only work as a push button and not to scroll. I sent it off to be looked at by my carrier and they said water damage but I'm 100% certain it's not having looked at the parts myself as well as having been ridiculously careful with it: basically just think they are trying to avoid a replace on warranty!
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have just upgraded to the new Bold 9930 and I'm experiencing intermittent issues with the touch screen where it appears to have a mind of its own. Specifically the cursor will randomly scroll up without user input. Sometimes it's a line or two but usually it's all the way back to the top of the content currently being displayed on the screen.
That is to say that I was doing something to make it happen like touching the screen with multiple fingers but I have observed the actions with absolutely no contact with the screen so it can't be inadvertent touching. Then I thought that it might be the screen protector I installed.
I use the Invisible Shield products by Zagg so I uninstalled the screen protector and carefully cleaned the screen with a microfiber cloth but it continues to randomly scroll. I have no apps installed other than what the phone came with and I have tried with and without a memory card installed but the random behavior continues.
i'm stumped and looking for some help. So my password in enabled on 9700 but I can't disable it. Disable does not show up in scroll menu and all i can do is enter password and change password.

I don't know if it is something new because I came from an old 8330. I used to hit menu and if I hit menu again the menu would go away.
