BB Bold :: Scroll Just Disappears When Long Messages Received
Jul 10, 2011It's seems to be that when I receive very long messages, the mouse/scroll just disappears and I can't scroll up or down.

Feb 14, 2010Sometimes when I receive a text, I open it and then 5 seconds later it disappears. Does anyone else have this problem and/or a solution?

BB Bold 9700 :: Unable To Send Text Messages / Opened Received Messages
Jul 24, 2010Just recently I have had some problems sending normal text messages..The problem is when I want to send a text I go to my contacts and try to send a sms message, but instead of opening up a conversation window I get taken straight to my recieved messages... I havent had a problem replying to messages after people have texted me, its iniating the converstation thats not working.

Sep 24, 2011I've found that the longer threads in my text messages on my Bold won't let me scroll up through the older texts, I can only see what will fit on the screen. Threads with only a couple of messages don't have the same problem.

May 28, 2010I have had my bold 9000 since it was released and lately the scroll ball has been a pain it wont let me scroll down. I`ve cleaned it with alcohol also put the phone on its face on a flat surface rolled it around it that way. any other ideas?

Jan 14, 2012I am the proud owner of a Bold 9780, and I can't seem to view received multimedia messages, such as pictures. There is this "download now" button, but nothing happens when I click... Also, I can't send pictures. There's a red X on the left of the message I tried to send. The data services are turned on in my settings, and my plan includes picture messaging (but it doesn't include any other data).

Jul 2, 2010I have a BB 9700 with v5.0.0.656 We set up a new chatgroup (with the same 6 members that have used it for the past year - don't ask WHY the previously functioning group was deleted and a new one established!!))Now one of the members does not see my messages, while all the rest CAN see my messages.I can see all the messages (including those from the chap who can't see mine).Everybody else can see both of our messages.When I look at the members, only the chap who is not receiving my messages has a KEY next to his name (what does this mean?)The other phone says that I am "unreachable", but we can communicate via individual bbm's We can both send individual bbm's to each other.We have both upgraded to the latest version of bbm.We have both rebooted.

Aug 10, 2012im having a problem with sending text sms messages. When isend these messages i get a check mark showing they have been sent. Why should i assume otherwise? And then i hear from multiple people that they received them at 4am or the next day or even just 30 minutes later and out of order. I even tested this with a friend sitting side by side. Out of 3 text messages sent, he only got the 2nd one and didnt receive any of the others. I read on another forum that it might be because my sim card might be old? Is this the knly possible explanation? It is probably at least 4-5 yrs old since i just get new phones but keep my sim card.

Mar 24, 2010So I upgraded my bold 9000 to OS 5.0.0.464 today and noticed a weird thing. When I receive sms (text) messages, I get an exclamation mark (red) on the left hand side of the message. Any idea why is it there? Please get back to me as soon as anyone of you can, if it's a major problem, then I might just downgrade it to 4.6.

Nov 11, 2012Tried to search for a text message today and noticed that it cannot be found. Then I had troubles with exiting to messages list from search window which still read "0 messages found". And then when I pressed "B" to look for the oldest message it showed me that the oldest one is a month old. This is absurd, throughout all my previous blackberries I saved and moved all my text messages to a new device, including the present BBB 9900. The option "Keep messages Forever" has been on since the day one on my every device. The memory is 2 GB free on media card and 5Gb free on the device. Never changed a thing in the settings.

Nov 1, 2011Had this phone a little over a month now and notice that sometimes when someone sends me a text that comes in 2 parts because of the length of it, I will receive the 2nd part of the message first (out of order). Now this isn't so bad as long as the first part comes in so I can read the whole message. However I have had at least 3 situations where I only received the 2nd part of the message and never received the first part. So I had to ask the senders to resend the message over again. Now this could be a network issue and nothing to do with the phone but I don't recall this ever happening on any other phone I have used.

Jun 12, 2011I find that if I text someone and we reply several times that after a 4-5 replies that the message then refuses to open. It starts when it won't let me scroll up to read earlier messages within the chat, then if I go back to my inbox and try to open the message again it won't open at all. If I try to start a new message to the same person it won't let me text them and I need to delete the message before I can. That can be a problem if I need to keep the text for some reason.

Jun 26, 2012Recently upgrade my BB OS from 5.x to 6 series... immediately after the upgrade noticed Maps had disappeared, right clicking contacts and view on map throws a location not found error... using the built in search from the home screen shows nothing.
From Blackberry Desktop I can see Blackberry Maps 6.0 listed as installed, when I try and install OTA from bb.com I get a Java error though I can see the Blackberry Maps 6.1 Installer listed in installed applications. I have tried removing Blackberry Maps 6.0 prior to installing OTA, with no change in behavior. I have also tried downgrading the OS with minimal applications installed again no change in behavior.Seems to be the only application I have issues with.

Sep 24, 2012Have had the same problem on some of our Curves with the 7.1 update. They can't scroll through text message/message conversations using the trackpad. With the 9360s its fine as if we downgrade to 7.0 the problem doesn't happen, but the 9320s come with 7.1 so there isn't an option to downgrade.

Aug 18, 2010New user, long-time lurker here. Until today it wasn't bugging me too much, but now it does. If I send out a plain MMS picture with a subject and the receiver sends back sole text, well, there is no other way to describe it, but either the text never appears or it disappears within second and I can never read it.
Anybody knows how to rectify that. I searched but didn't find the proper answer. Oh, I am on Rogers btw.

Jun 10, 2012I have an iphone 4s and my best friend has a HTC and her messages have within the last two weeks only been sending averagly about 3 messages and then i get no reply yet they have sent and this also has been happening to messages shes sent to her boyfriend who has and Iphone 4, however this has never happened to her friends with phones that aren't iphones, could this be something to do with the iphone or carrier? software?

May 8, 2011My BBM has been not sending messages for up to half an hour at times, it just stays on the red clock. It's been like this for a while, I went into the store and they told me to do a software update. I tried that and it got better for a while and then started playing up again.
