BB Bold 9000 :: Received Text Disappears
Feb 14, 2010Sometimes when I receive a text, I open it and then 5 seconds later it disappears. Does anyone else have this problem and/or a solution?

Apr 4, 2010I just got a refurbished Bold after dropping my original one too many times...Now whenever I get an email on my Yahoo! account, I also get a text message from some random number with "Mobile EmailOZMAIL ########" in it, and I have no idea why.
Current OS is 4.6.0.304, I'm on AT&T.
BB Bold 9700 :: Text In MMS Message Disappears
Aug 18, 2010New user, long-time lurker here. Until today it wasn't bugging me too much, but now it does. If I send out a plain MMS picture with a subject and the receiver sends back sole text, well, there is no other way to describe it, but either the text never appears or it disappears within second and I can never read it.
Anybody knows how to rectify that. I searched but didn't find the proper answer. Oh, I am on Rogers btw.
BB Bold :: Can't View Received Texts On 9000
Dec 20, 2011My battery died yesterday, and when it finally recharged today, I couldn't see text that I've sent/ that I've received. If i go to messages > sms inbox, I can see the messages, but when I expand them, it turns to a blank conversation window.
When I text, I also have no confirmation whether I got it or not. I've tried restoring my data, but it still remained the same.
edit: when I turned the phone on for the first time, it displayed a 'integer error 7 >= 7 (or something like that)' message.
BB Bold 9000 :: Exclamation Mark On Received SMS Messages?
Mar 24, 2010So I upgraded my bold 9000 to OS 5.0.0.464 today and noticed a weird thing. When I receive sms (text) messages, I get an exclamation mark (red) on the left hand side of the message. Any idea why is it there? Please get back to me as soon as anyone of you can, if it's a major problem, then I might just downgrade it to 4.6.

Aug 10, 2012im having a problem with sending text sms messages. When isend these messages i get a check mark showing they have been sent. Why should i assume otherwise? And then i hear from multiple people that they received them at 4am or the next day or even just 30 minutes later and out of order. I even tested this with a friend sitting side by side. Out of 3 text messages sent, he only got the 2nd one and didnt receive any of the others. I read on another forum that it might be because my sim card might be old? Is this the knly possible explanation? It is probably at least 4-5 yrs old since i just get new phones but keep my sim card.

Jan 19, 2010i got a blackberry bold 9700 for christmas and i've been having only one problem with the phone. Sometimes when I've been having a conversation, through sms text messages, with someone I will be randomly unable to open a newly received sms text message and cannot open it for a while. I got it checked and they gave me a new phone, and this one is doing the same thing. Sometimes i can't open it for 10 mins and then sometimes i have to delete it because it's been over 2 hours. this is getting really annoying and more and more frequent. does anyone know what i should do? cause the bell people dont even know.

Nov 11, 2012Tried to search for a text message today and noticed that it cannot be found. Then I had troubles with exiting to messages list from search window which still read "0 messages found". And then when I pressed "B" to look for the oldest message it showed me that the oldest one is a month old. This is absurd, throughout all my previous blackberries I saved and moved all my text messages to a new device, including the present BBB 9900. The option "Keep messages Forever" has been on since the day one on my every device. The memory is 2 GB free on media card and 5Gb free on the device. Never changed a thing in the settings.

Jan 25, 2010My bold has this issues in which it only allows me to send 70 characters in a text, the rest is full of random spaces I can't see, and some people end up getting blank texts from me. Randomly, it could be someone on ATT or sprint whatever, what should I do besides send my phone in? Im thinking about doing that since its on warranty for another month, do you recommend another Bold.....or should I get a Curve 8900....or try out a non blackberry device, or see if they have a Bold 9700 in stock?

Feb 14, 2010I'm randomly not hearing the sound for incoming texts, even though everything else (visual notifications) work. I wasn't sure about this until today, when I received 10 texts while the Bold was sitting on my desk in a quiet room. 4 of them made no sound; the other 6 did. All in random order. I have the latest AT&T official released OS. Is this a known issue? I've searched this forum, but I'm not a pro here, and haven't found this specific issue.

Mar 9, 2010Just wondering if you receive a text message and don't check your phone for say 12 hours does it still show as un-read even if you stay on the text message screen. Jul 3, 2010Z5 Compact. For some reason, the text input field in the Messaging app keeps disappearing. I can be texting someone back and forth and then, completely at random, the text input field at the bottom vanishes making it impossible to return a text.
Only solution I have found to this issue is to restart the phone and the Messaging app goes back to normal. Phone has been fantastic other than this and would be super if I could get this very annoying issue sorted.

Feb 6, 2010I bought my blackberry about 4 months ago and it has been working fine with SIM cards from different countries, until now! My provider is O2, and I lost my SIM card and so I had to get a new one to replace it, and after it has been registered and everything sorted out from the provider's side, I found out I cant make any calls, send texts nor receive calls on my phone! Sim card works fine, as I have tried using it on a different handset. So it is my blackberry. Is it the settings I have to change? I hope I don't have to send it for repair.

Jan 26, 2010I've recently performed a device switch from a defective Bold to a replacement bold. I was running 4.6.247 on the old phone. I performed the device switch in DM, then upgraded to OS5 (.411 Swedish). I had to do the browser fix to get the Internet Browser back, but evrything else seems to be working fine except for this odd behavior: I get what appear to be SMS messages like this around the tim where I've recent had voiemail activity:

My phone number has been replaced by 8s. On my old phone, I had visual voicemail enabled, but not on the new phone because I was getting significant and unpredictable delays between the time to voicemail was apparently left and actually receiving an indication of it being left. Annoying. Anyway, has anyone seen this kind of message before?

Feb 21, 2010Since Friday I've been unable to hold a phone call for longer than 20 seconds and been unable to send text messages. The call fails every time at exactly 10 or 20 seconds. This applies whether the call is incoming or outgoing. I have tried pulling the battery and that fixes the problem temporarily but it usually returns within about five minutes. I am still able to receive text messages.

Feb 26, 2010I just upgraded to 5.0, which was painful enough in the first place, but I _HATE_ this new feature."the ability to send an SMS text message with the press of the Enter key."This isn't Twitter.I would like to put more than one line in an SMS message.Does it just _look_ like it is sending, or am i overloading the friends of mine that don't have unlimited messaging.What a brain dead feature to invoke with no option to turn it off. "ability" makes it sound optional, but i can't find the option.And I don't want to put emoticons into what should be a text-only messaging system!
