My BB messages are not being sent or received & also the facebook app is also not working, but all the other apps are working.

Why does my facebook application not always send me notifications of facebook messages I have received?I get most of my normal notifications but hardly ever get the notifications of a facebook inbox message.
View 2 Replies View RelatedJust recently I have had some problems sending normal text messages..The problem is when I want to send a text I go to my contacts and try to send a sms message, but instead of opening up a conversation window I get taken straight to my recieved messages... I havent had a problem replying to messages after people have texted me, its iniating the converstation thats not working.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am the proud owner of a Bold 9780, and I can't seem to view received multimedia messages, such as pictures. There is this "download now" button, but nothing happens when I click... Also, I can't send pictures. There's a red X on the left of the message I tried to send. The data services are turned on in my settings, and my plan includes picture messaging (but it doesn't include any other data).
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a BB 9700 with v5.0.0.656 We set up a new chatgroup (with the same 6 members that have used it for the past year - don't ask WHY the previously functioning group was deleted and a new one established!!))Now one of the members does not see my messages, while all the rest CAN see my messages.I can see all the messages (including those from the chap who can't see mine).Everybody else can see both of our messages.When I look at the members, only the chap who is not receiving my messages has a KEY next to his name (what does this mean?)The other phone says that I am "unreachable", but we can communicate via individual bbm's We can both send individual bbm's to each other.We have both upgraded to the latest version of bbm.We have both rebooted.
View 6 Replies View Relatedim having a problem with sending text sms messages. When isend these messages i get a check mark showing they have been sent. Why should i assume otherwise? And then i hear from multiple people that they received them at 4am or the next day or even just 30 minutes later and out of order. I even tested this with a friend sitting side by side. Out of 3 text messages sent, he only got the 2nd one and didnt receive any of the others. I read on another forum that it might be because my sim card might be old? Is this the knly possible explanation? It is probably at least 4-5 yrs old since i just get new phones but keep my sim card.

When I receive sms (text) messages, I get an exclamation mark (red) on the left hand side of the message. Any idea why is it there? Please get back to me as soon as anyone of you can, if it's a major problem, then I might just downgrade it to 4.6.

View 3 Replies View RelatedTried to search for a text message today and noticed that it cannot be found. Then I had troubles with exiting to messages list from search window which still read "0 messages found". And then when I pressed "B" to look for the oldest message it showed me that the oldest one is a month old. This is absurd, throughout all my previous blackberries I saved and moved all my text messages to a new device, including the present BBB 9900. The option "Keep messages Forever" has been on since the day one on my every device. The memory is 2 GB free on media card and 5Gb free on the device. Never changed a thing in the settings.
View 6 Replies View RelatedAs of about a week ago, I have started receiving only about 10% of the messages and notifications from facebook that I used to receive to my Blackberry. 90% of the messages and notifications now just get stuck in facebook and I only see them when I log into fb through my laptop.
As of the last week, every once in a while I will receive some facebook message or notification to my blackberry, but the majority don't make it to my Blackberry and instead just stay on facebook until I open the site on my laptop.
Since I got the BB Bold 9900, I have had issues with facebook on it. The notifications box is checked off, but often the notificatons do not arrive until after I have gone into the Facebook Application, and physically hit "notifications". Suddenly my phone dings to say I someone wrote on my wall, etc.
In the past week, the messages in my inbox will not refresh. On my computer I know that i have about 4 new messages, but the last message I can see is from a couple days before my newest messages. Why can't I see them?? I don't want to have to turn on a computer everytime I want to read my inbox messages.
I'm unable to receive incoming messages in facebook message box. The messages are getting delivered but I'm unable to receive.

I have a Blackberry Bold 9700 on the 3 Mobile network. I only have one email account setup, and it is a Gmail account. I use Facebook for Blackberry.So here's my problem - a few days ago I checked my Blackberry Bold 9700 and saw that I had received 28 email messages and 8 Facebook notifications.However none of these emails or Facebook notifications was new. They were all ones I had already received that day.
I deleted them all, and guess what - an hour later and they all came back into my email inbox and Facebook notifications.When I went to sleep that night, I woke up with 136 emails and 26 Facebook notifications - ALL OF THEM THE SAME REPEAT EMAILS OVER AND OVER AGAIN!
I have been on forums and tried removing my battery and SIM card (not very technical, that) as well as resending the Service Books after doing this. Nothing has solved this problem though.I really hope someone can help please as I'm seriously thinking of ditching my BlackBerry and buying an iPhone where this problem doesn't occur.

View 6 Replies View RelatedFor the past week or so when i try and check in on facebook places on my blackberry bold 9780 its not been working, its always worked perfect until i tried about a week or so ago, and since then ive tried nearly everyday just to see if its working but no nothing, keeps coming up with facebook error 2002 try again later. It works fine, finds my location, asks me if i want to check in, i click on check in and thats when the error message comes up, so doesnt let me finally check in. I dont know if its since ive updated to the new facebook app, i dont always use places, just now and again ,but always has worked great, until when i tried a week ago, it wouldnt let me and hasnt since. Ive got my location settings ON on options and ive refreshed GPS ,tried it with wireless on and wireless off, in many different locations, reboot phone etc but nope still the same.

View 4 Replies View RelatedA hard reset (remove the battery while the BB is on) seems to have worked. I say seemed since it has been reported on this board that it may return when the "service books" are updated...I'm new to BBs. I just purchased it today and against my better judgment installed FAcebook (FB). After getting a deluge of mindless drivel pushed to my new BB I decided FB was not coming near my BB again.So I found the icon - menu - delete. I restart the BB as instructed and to my surprise the icon is still there.I tried to move the icon into a folder but I don't know how to move it because the menu button does nothing when I select the icon and press menu.
And there are some FB messages too. I deleted the FB messages - when I check my messages it reports I have no messages in FB ... BUT there is a little FB icon at the top of the screen showing one message. This one message seems to be relic but I have no idea how to reset or delete it.I also tried the BB desktop software. It shows that it is uninstalled. There appears to be no way of deleting icon, moving the icon, or deleting the FB message indicator either.
When I updated Facebook the Facebook Icon stopped working. I tried to delete it but a messege came up say Facebook already scheduled for deletion. Deletion will occur when handheld is restarted. How do I restart the handheld device? I have an 8520 v5
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have an iphone 4s and my best friend has a HTC and her messages have within the last two weeks only been sending averagly about 3 messages and then i get no reply yet they have sent and this also has been happening to messages shes sent to her boyfriend who has and Iphone 4, however this has never happened to her friends with phones that aren't iphones, could this be something to do with the iphone or carrier? software?
