BB Bold :: BBM Not Working For Sending Messages
Dec 5, 2011yesterday night I was messaging on BBM and for some reason my messages stopped delivering. I get the check next to what i typed but no D or R. it takes from 2 hours to 6 for one of my messages to arrive! this happens with all of my BBM contacts which i thought was pretty weird because i can receive their messages at once. I have whatsapp and i can text from there normally and all my other apps work normally.

Jul 5, 2010I've been trying (unsuccessfully) for the past 5 hours to resolve a custom ringtone issue with my 9700 and it is driving me crazy!I have custom ringtones set for some of my contacts for calls and messages and they were all working perfectly. Then today, I received a text message from one of my contacts and noticed the tone was the from the default profile. I checked the contact setting and the custom ringtone was the same, but whenever messages from the contacts came in, it was using the default profile. Whenever I get calls from the contact, the custom ringtone works, but all of a sudden it just stopped working for messages. Then I realized this situation is the same for ALL contacts that I had a custom ringtone for. I am completely baffled. I've probably done about 100 battery pulls.

Jul 24, 2010Just recently I have had some problems sending normal text messages..The problem is when I want to send a text I go to my contacts and try to send a sms message, but instead of opening up a conversation window I get taken straight to my recieved messages... I havent had a problem replying to messages after people have texted me, its iniating the converstation thats not working.

Jun 23, 2011I recently discovered that when I scroll down to look at my old text messages, a lot of them have turned into drafts and when I click into them, all the texts are gone. I have also noticed that there are the occasional text messages amongst the green ones that I can read. I suspect that this has to do with the fact that I have saved those messages in a folder.
My phone is running on OS 6.0.0.448, could this have something to do with it? My phone did not originally come with this OS system as it is a Bold 9700. In my message settings, my messages are set to be kept forever. And my validity period is set to Max. I also use this phone with 2 different numbers and sim cards in different countries. Could this have something to do with it?
BB Bold :: Bold 9900 - Multiple Messages Folder In The Message Center?
Sep 14, 2011I have 3 mail accounts connected to my bb. Originally all posted to one folder messages folder in the message 'center' where all the sms etc go into (middle of the screen icon at the top) i am not sure what has started to happen but suddenly i then had 2 messages folders and now i have 3. They all go to the same place and sometimes contain the same message which just appears in all 3.
I think this started when i started configuring the sync of the deletion of the folders "folder reconciliation". how i can delete these additional folders as they are just a nuicense they mean very little as mail is randomly flowing into them.
HTC One M8 :: Text Messages Not Working 4.4.3
Sep 29, 2014So after recently updating I've had a bit of a nightmare after updating to 4.4.3. Not only has my battery life plummeted but I can't send texts! If I put my phone on airplane mode then off it will send but obviously this is a bit of a pain. I'm on EE so I'm not sure if it's a network issue it just seems to be a bit of a coincidence after updating.

Jul 7, 2015I am a new android user as I recently upgraded my phone to my first smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy s6, on Sunday. I have a concern regarding a message that I received while I was texting my friend (out of state/just started texting today) that messages had stopped working.
I cleared cache from both my apps and the Samsung Galaxy using applicaiton manager in settings, then rebooted; it works fine now, but I was wondering why I received this error message? Also, after reboot, my phone started searching for GPS? I am wondering why that is as well. I am just concerned with why I received these messages because I just upgraded my phone on Sunday and haven't done anything to it besides download social media apps, text, browse, and add music onto it.
what are the causes of these messages and if they are severe? My parents would be irritated if something was going on with my phone when I just got it.

The lady told me that all her cricket stuff was down so i had to go to a cricket store to get my number on the phone, so i did. Now the internet doesn't work and when i get a pic message it tells me to go to a lame website from my computer with a pic of a cell phone and my message on the screen!!! what do i do to get my phone to work properly??

Aug 17, 2011As of about a week ago, I have started receiving only about 10% of the messages and notifications from facebook that I used to receive to my Blackberry. 90% of the messages and notifications now just get stuck in facebook and I only see them when I log into fb through my laptop.
As of the last week, every once in a while I will receive some facebook message or notification to my blackberry, but the majority don't make it to my Blackberry and instead just stay on facebook until I open the site on my laptop.

Dec 10, 2014Wit the new IOS my keyboard in messages doesn't want to acknowledge all of my finger taps. It's random but the most consistent part is the "Send" button. I either have to pull the keyboard down or orient it to portrait for it to work. I have reset the phone a few times but it is still there. Occasionally when I am going from portrait to landscape the recording will start for no reason also.Â

May 21, 2010Just upgraded from the 8330m to 9650 and am not receiving any MMS messages. The settings show Multimedia Reception & Automatic Retrieval to "always" but none are coming thru from my sister, who is not on a BB and a different carrier. Then I tested from a Curve 8330m on Sprint and they all hang up with the clock icon
UPDATE/ Work Around May 25,2010: I ended up calling Sprint and they had me use the Update Profile option which corrected part of the issue. Mind you, the problem was *only* when sending/receiving MMS messages with other Sprint customers.
I can now send/receive MMS messages with other Sprint customers ONLY if I go thru Media > Pictures. > Send/Share Using > MMS. If I go to SMS/MMS and "Compose MMS" then attach a picture/video, etc., the message appears have have been broadcast and sent out on the system but never actually goes through to the recipient. I'm running the Bold 9650 since Thursday (5/20/2010) & figured it was device related until further testing on my BF's Curve 8330m which has the same issue. As of right now he can only send/receive MMS from other Sprint customers via the method I mentioned in the paragraph above. This was never an issue before my upgrading to my phone so I figured it was a device problem but neither of us have any problem sending or receiving MMS messages with people on any other carriers - we can go to "Compose MMS" and attach a picture which the recipient receives w/o issue.
So, the issue hasn't been "solved" but at least now the MMS functionality has been restored by using the method described above.
