BB Bold :: Old Text Messages Become Draft Messages?

I recently discovered that when I scroll down to look at my old text messages, a lot of them have turned into drafts and when I click into them, all the texts are gone. I have also noticed that there are the occasional text messages amongst the green ones that I can read. I suspect that this has to do with the fact that I have saved those messages in a folder.
My phone is running on OS 6.0.0.448, could this have something to do with it? My phone did not originally come with this OS system as it is a Bold 9700. In my message settings, my messages are set to be kept forever. And my validity period is set to Max. I also use this phone with 2 different numbers and sim cards in different countries. Could this have something to do with it?
The problem I experience (BB Bold & AT&T, using on Microsoft Exchange, with Mac Snow Leopard) is that every time I save an email as draft, it appears as a new unread email on my BlackBerry. And I cannot delete them just one by one, which is kind of annoying with 20 messages...
Just recently I have had some problems sending normal text messages..The problem is when I want to send a text I go to my contacts and try to send a sms message, but instead of opening up a conversation window I get taken straight to my recieved messages... I havent had a problem replying to messages after people have texted me, its iniating the converstation thats not working.
I can send text messages but can't receive any text messages (sms). Ideed, i have a message like that : "message memory full" i delete a lot of messages, i don't have any video or pictures, my memory is not full, so i don't understand why it's like that. I have this probleme for 4 days ant it becomes very annoying. delete any message cause i delete three-quarters of messages..
My current text messages are being combined with old text messages, creating messages that don't reflect what I sent. The recipients of my texts are very confused....as am I when I get there response.
1) When sending text messages the messages go through but some remain in the outbox. They are actually sent, and not waiting for resend. The only option when selecting them is to delete, which removes them from the conversation threads. It doesn't seem to be related to service, but to whether I am using the phone for any other purpose at the time.
2) When connected to a car BT system, shut off car, BT seems to go into a black hole. You can't reconnect, can't make a call (well, it makes a call, but you can't hear anything; can't play music, etc.). The only solution is reboot. This happens with multiple systems in different brands of auto, so not limited to one brnad.
hello, I just upgraded my phone to the .732. Everything went smoothly during the upgrade, ever since then I have been having trouble with receiving text messages and MMS messages. I have gone to 3 sites for free ringtones have sent the ring tones to my phone, I have not received anything. I also have setup google voice and I am not getting any text messages from people tht text my google voice number.
I am using the Blackberry Storm, I believe the 9530 (its the first gen). Anyway, just recently my text messages only stay for a couple of days and then they delete themselves or simpley disappear.
There have been numerous cases where I need the information someone sent me in those messages, but I can't seem to find them. Is there something wrong with how the phone is set up? Is this a memory thing? Is there a way to get those messages back, are they stored somewhere?
I cannot find a setting that allows me to keep my text messages from being broken into many individual messages. The same happens to messages I receive. A single message may be broken up into seven or eight individual messages, which most often are not even in the proper order when received, or sent. Most text messages on other phones are one block.
I can't really receive any messages. It's all delayed. I'm from Philippines. my iPhone had been unlocked since my mom bought it in USA. I can't receive any messages here in our province but when I'm in Metro Manila, it's working.
The text icon disappeared and I do not receive notifications of new text messages. The only way I can find a text is to locate the sender in my Contacts.
When I send messages to an ordinary cell phone, they sometimes go through as photo messages even though I have not touched the camera icon next to the text window. When I intentionally send a photo message, my phone asks me if I want to take a new photo or use one from my camera roll. This question isn't asked when I type a normal text message, but it often is received as a photo message even though there is no photo.
I have a bb torch, need to recover deleted text and mms from about a month or 2 ago, since those messages were deleted, there has been a lot of text message activity and deletion.The corporation i work for has sent the device off to 'forensics' (not sure who to)What is the likelyhood of these texts being recovered?off the device or the sim card.I do not have a backup file.I dont think i had the 'save to sim' option checked.
Today is July 31 but all my messages from July 22 are gone. I'm wondering the senders name are still on the list but the messages are gone already and the names are all in color green. I'm still relatively new in Blackberry. I hate deleting text messages ofcourse specially the important ones.
I originally had a Verizon blackberry phone. Then I unlocked it, gave it to my sister, but then at first when I tried to call her new ATT number, I couldn't. If I called from the phone to my house. The caller ID was my old number?. Even when I texted it was my old number even with her new SIM card in it. So then I tried playing around with mobile network options. I found a way, kind of. I've recently upgraded to the new Blackberry Bold and all of a sudden my text messages seem to be out of sync.For example if I text Friend A, they text back to which I again reply - both my messages will be at the top... So if you end up having a text conversation with someone, every single one of mine will be in one place and below will be theirs. When you are reading back it is confusing as obviously you didn't text five times with no reply and vice versa all received messages appear to have been "received one minute ago" rather than the usual at 17.50 or whatever...
Does anyone know of an app that would act as a recycling bin for text messages? the perfect one would only store deleted SMS. I've read about the ones that send everything to a computer via email and all, but i am looking for something more simple. any ideas or suggestions are greatly appreciated.
Bold 9900, have had for a few weeks now, noticed something new when replying to text messages, if someone sends a text to me & others, when I reply it is always to all the people the original text was sent to. My old 9000 had the option come up of reply or reply to all, this new 9900 only shows replu but it replies to all. I have looked everywhere for a setting to change this but have not been able to find anything. how to change this or is it just something new that can't be changed on this new phone?
WIth the update to OS 6.0 (6.0.0.6.00) frmo Sprint, I now have the ability to go beyond the standard 160 characters for a text mesage. It appears that I have up to seven text messages worth of 160 chracters that can be composed and sent. This feature was working fine until last week. Here is what is happening. If I compose a text that is 180 chracters long, only the second part (the last 20 characters) comes thru. The message will say "2/2" and then display the final 20 characters. The first 160 characters never arrive. I have tested sending a message like this to a Sprint user, ATT user and T-mobile user. They all arrived in the same manner, only the last 20 characters.I have spoken to Sprint to no avail.
My text messages are now automatically deleted even though my memory is not full. The weird is the names of the senders are still on the list but when you open them one by one the messages are gone. The ones automatically deleted are not even old text messages, they are just 30 days old. The names are also in color green. I hate deleting important text messages.
I have this old convo with a friend then when I want to check it the bubble chat became GREEN and the messages are gone, I really dont know what happened and when I click it, it is EMPTY!
When i receive a txt message i have to manually go to messages which says "no messages".it took me ages to work out that i had to click "options" and "view folder" then select "sms inbox" is there not an easier way of looking at my messages, rather than me having to click on loads of things to finally read them.Surely they should just come up straight away? like most phones.I have only just bought the phone and i am new to blackberrys so i'm just learning how to use everything x
