The problem I experience (BB Bold & AT&T, using on Microsoft Exchange, with Mac Snow Leopard) is that every time I save an email as draft, it appears as a new unread email on my BlackBerry. And I cannot delete them just one by one, which is kind of annoying with 20 messages...
View 7 RepliesI recently discovered that when I scroll down to look at my old text messages, a lot of them have turned into drafts and when I click into them, all the texts are gone. I have also noticed that there are the occasional text messages amongst the green ones that I can read. I suspect that this has to do with the fact that I have saved those messages in a folder.
My phone is running on OS 6.0.0.448, could this have something to do with it? My phone did not originally come with this OS system as it is a Bold 9700. In my message settings, my messages are set to be kept forever. And my validity period is set to Max. I also use this phone with 2 different numbers and sim cards in different countries. Could this have something to do with it?
I'm a theme junkie and often find myself with too many themes and too little memory. How can I save some of these themes to my laptop and delete them from my BB to reinstall at a later date?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a BB Bold9000 (v4.6.0.147). while i'm on the phone with someone, and i have to save a phone number, is there any other way besides "Add new contact"?
if i just type in the number it disappears right after the conversation is over (instead of having it on the screen after the call is over). if i type the no and click the green Call button it just disappears faster.
So I used to have the 8900, and whenever I had a text message, I can just highlight it and click 'save', and it would save a copy of it in a folder, which means I can delete the one I got. For some reason, with OS 5.0, I do not have that option anymore. I went to the SMS option and had it saved to an SD card, but doesn't work.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have 2 email accounts set up on my bold.. Now just last night i noticed that on one of the emails, if i send an email from this specific account, it doesn't come up with the message i sent with the tick next to it.
In my 2nd account it works fine.I have re-sent the service books etc. I have checked all the options in the email settings and they are all the same.
Yesterday I installed the new 5.0.0.509 OS and my SMS messages/conversations are randomly disappearing.
Is this a known issue with the 5.0 builds?
I know that your PIN is used to identify you and or your device correct. is it used for private messages as well? if this is the case, is there a way to change your PIN?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a BOLD 9000 that I've had for somewhat over a year now. I simply use BIS through my carrier (Rogers Wireless) and have configured 3 email accounts (One @rogers.blackberry.net, and 2 POP based)
One of the POP accounts I have desktop access to as well through Outlook so I have an ongoing history of email messages for that account. The other POP account I don't have web access for and there are some very old emails in this account database on the BB that I've collected.
I know you can use the Desktop Mgr to backup selected databases, however, once the emails "Messages" database is backed up, is there a way to view these emails on my desktop? The file format seems proprietary to BlackBerry tho. There's no way I can import this into a Personal Information Manager (PIM) to view the backed up messages for archiving and revisiting is there?
I got this problem after i upgrade my bold to OS 5.0.0.411 .I received 1 txt message and everything seemed fine.. at least I thought so ;A bit later I got a second txt (SMS) message but the content of the msg didn't make any sense as it seemed only relevant to another person in my contacts...
I had one sms in my SMS/MMS inbox and all SMS that came in after that appeared to be from the same person although they weren't! .... In other words, I get the threaded SMS but showing ALL incoming messages as being from the same person (the first one that sent me SMS after I installed the OS 5.0.0.411)!
When i receive a txt message i have to manually go to messages which says "no messages".it took me ages to work out that i had to click "options" and "view folder" then select "sms inbox" is there not an easier way of looking at my messages, rather than me having to click on loads of things to finally read them.Surely they should just come up straight away? like most phones.I have only just bought the phone and i am new to blackberrys so i'm just learning how to use everything x
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a bold 9000 v.6.0.282. I am with Rogers. This may seem like a simple thing but it is driving me crazy. I cannot figure it out. I simply cannot delete 2 SMS messages from my Blackberry Bold. What did I press or not press? I have deleted them from saved messages etc. but they will delete from the inbox. Also, incoming SMS messages appear at the bottom of the screen under the date of the un-delete-able messages, and those un-delete-able messages appear under today's date.

When I receive sms (text) messages, I get an exclamation mark (red) on the left hand side of the message. Any idea why is it there? Please get back to me as soon as anyone of you can, if it's a major problem, then I might just downgrade it to 4.6.
View 8 Replies View RelatedRogers Blackberry technical support has tried everything and they are now telling me it's a hardware issue, and I need to pay full price for a new phone because my warranty has expired. I don't think it's a hardware issue. I will explain. A few days ago I installed Blackberry Desktop Manager 5.0.1 on my new computer. After connecting the Bold to my new computer, Blackberry Desktop Manager stated that a few of my applications are old and upgrades are recommended and therefore I upgraded. One of these upgrades included an upgrade to my operating system (to version 4.6.0.303).
After installing and re-booting, the smartphone did not work the same. I was able to use the phone, text message, and internet (rogers mall website directly and not search engine like before) but I could no longer set up e-mail, and PIN messages. I contacted Rogers Blackberry technical customer and we re-boot several times...did not work, then re-installed the operating system several times...did not work. I also checked Host Routing Table, and it was empty (as per technical support there should be a log of files). I tried to register and nothing changed. The only other change that I noticed is next to the 3G characters, there used to be a blackberry logo (4 dots), and now it's gone. I only see 3G.
When I open an email on the BB and read it, it shows as being read on my PC, when I open email in outlook, it still shows unread on BB. Is there a setting I am missing somewhere? I would like to see the messages as read on my BB so I don't have to keep opening emails that I have already read.

To change the font color from red to black for PIN messages, I selected "No" to making PINs Level 1 messages. Can I still set an alert tone for something that isn't Level 1?
View 7 Replies View RelatedI bought my blackberry about 4 months ago and it has been working fine with SIM cards from different countries, until now! My provider is O2, and I lost my SIM card and so I had to get a new one to replace it, and after it has been registered and everything sorted out from the provider's side, I found out I cant make any calls, send texts nor receive calls on my phone! Sim card works fine, as I have tried using it on a different handset. So it is my blackberry. Is it the settings I have to change? I hope I don't have to send it for repair.

At first it was just one sms and the number has gone up to 4 unread sms messages and i have looked and searched everywhere, deleted, did numerous battery pulls, even leaving the battery out for an extended amount of time, tried changing the theme etc etc. Is there any way to fix this?

I have a Bold 9000 and when I'm sending messenger to computer PC / MAC the person doesn't receive, on other telephones it does. I have friends with other models of blackberry and they have the same problem. Do you have a solution? I delete the application, I update... It's still working yahoo messenger on blackberry or not?

It is amazing that this can happen without any warning. This is definitely not the first time I'm loosing all my data. It's so frustrating that I'm considering strongly to leave BlackBerry and switch to another make.Also a helpdesk you can call to and speak to a real person seems to be not in place at BlackBerry. Maybe they hate customers?
