My blackberry bold has been giving me issues it wont let me scroll down on anything like for example on the main menu were I have my icons it wont let me go to the lower ones I can see the name of the icon but not were IM at on the browser it does it as well I can only see the beginning of the page it wont let me scroll down with the tracpad or the touchscreen
View 3 RepliesI have had my bold 9000 since it was released and lately the scroll ball has been a pain it wont let me scroll down. I`ve cleaned it with alcohol also put the phone on its face on a flat surface rolled it around it that way. any other ideas?

I know I can email them to myself to get them, but the trackball quit scrolling upwards. I would like to get them off this phone so I can get a new one. I seem to remember that if I was looking at a 10am appointment on any day I could scroll sideways to check out the same time frame on subsequent or previouse days. With .593 I seem to have to scroll up to the top row showing days to be able to move days and then back down to the relevant time slot.Either I am imagining it or this facility is not in recent OS builds?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI did an OS update from my computer and when that didn't work pushed a complete wipe and reinstall with JL_Cmder. That sorted out the WSOD issues however the trackpad will now only work as a push button and not to scroll. I sent it off to be looked at by my carrier and they said water damage but I'm 100% certain it's not having looked at the parts myself as well as having been ridiculously careful with it: basically just think they are trying to avoid a replace on warranty!
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have just upgraded to the new Bold 9930 and I'm experiencing intermittent issues with the touch screen where it appears to have a mind of its own. Specifically the cursor will randomly scroll up without user input. Sometimes it's a line or two but usually it's all the way back to the top of the content currently being displayed on the screen.
That is to say that I was doing something to make it happen like touching the screen with multiple fingers but I have observed the actions with absolutely no contact with the screen so it can't be inadvertent touching. Then I thought that it might be the screen protector I installed.
I use the Invisible Shield products by Zagg so I uninstalled the screen protector and carefully cleaned the screen with a microfiber cloth but it continues to randomly scroll. I have no apps installed other than what the phone came with and I have tried with and without a memory card installed but the random behavior continues.
i'm stumped and looking for some help. So my password in enabled on 9700 but I can't disable it. Disable does not show up in scroll menu and all i can do is enter password and change password.

I don't know if it is something new because I came from an old 8330. I used to hit menu and if I hit menu again the menu would go away.

It would click but no matter what I tried it wouldn't move. I looked it up and it said it needed to be wiped, so stupidly I wiped my phone. But still, nothing. It would just click. Now, it's stuck on terms and conditions and non-usable. I've had to use my old blackberry which is falling apart I tried looking again online to see if there was any other solutions and I came across one saying that the software needed to be update.
