my phone is working properly the letters still work and the buttons on the side of my phone and my phone isnt frozen atall but the track pad isnt responding other then being used as an enter button . i have lots of texts on my phone i need to read, is there anyway i can fix the trackpad or get to my messages ?
View 7 RepliesI was using me blackberry fine one minute and the next my trackpad of me blackberry curve 3960 is not working at all. I have tryed rubbing a piece or paper over it for 1-2 minutes and it is not working and i have tryed talking the battery out and putting it back in and it still isnt working. I think there might be dirt or something underneath it but im not sure. I would love for someone to give me something else to try to see if it works so I don't have to fork out to take it the shope if i could do it myself.
View 3 Replies View RelatedHave had the same problem on some of our Curves with the 7.1 update. They can't scroll through text message/message conversations using the trackpad. With the 9360s its fine as if we downgrade to 7.0 the problem doesn't happen, but the 9320s come with 7.1 so there isn't an option to downgrade.

View 1 Replies View RelatedAlright, so the trackpad isn't working, but at the same time it is. When I use it with my bare skin, it doesn't work, it takes many swips to do anything. But when I use it with say a piece of tape, or a cloth on the end of my fingers it works great and without a problem.
It's a used phone so swapping it is not an option, but is there some way to fix it?
I went to go on my phone and the scrollpad wouldn't work, so I took it to the shop and they said update the OS to the latest, so I did, and now it only works if I REALLY lightly touch it and only then it works a tiny bit for abit a second, but it's clicking fine!
View 1 Replies View Relatedmy blackberry curve 9300 track pad just stopped working. i tried removing the battery and sim card, several times, to reboot the phone but it didnt work. later on i tried to re-insert my sim card, the track pad is moving up and down, left to right, but when i try using for clicking and opening sms or email for example, it couldnt possibly work.also, my email started coming in, but sms does not, it keeps on popping a message that my sim card messaging memory is full, when i no longer have sms kept because i deleted them to save space.

So about a week ago, my trackpad stopped working, to get it to scroll I had to hold a piece of clothing such as my shirt between the trackpad and my thumb. It would go between working and not working without the article of clothing for a few days but now it only works if I have something between my thumb and the trackpad. Not sure what to do, I got it 9 months ago and its in really good condition.

I realised I could scroll left and right but not up and down.So I took the battery out and resetted it then out of curiosity I just a dry wipe over the trackpad and it worked perfectly. So I tried my jumper and same again, the track pad worked perfectly, then when I use my thumb + finger, nothing, just left and right again.I rebooted it again, and still...the same.Why is it not working? Two days ago the trackpad started to work only with ALT or SHIFT keys.Problem is:Situation 1) In the home menu the track pad scrolls great. It can move up to change ring settings, left, right, down, etc. Completely normal.Situation 2) I press the menu key and the trackpad no longer works. I can't scroll left right up or down through the icons. Now when I try holding the alt key OR the shift key, the track pad works again.. View 1 Replies View RelatedThe trackpad on my BB Curve 9300 has stopped working. At first there were some glitches wherein the trackpad was unresponsive. After a few tries or after restarting the device, it began to work properly again. Just recently the trackpad stop to work altogether. I don't know if this is hardware related or if there's just a problem with software since I saw error messages regarding "java" or something. Also, I don't know if this is related but the problems started just after I added lock protection to my phone.
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy son has a BB curve 8900 and has the BB Desktop S/W installed on his laptop, I wanted to get some of his music onto my 8250 and hooked my phone up to the S/W , the only change I made was choosing ITunes instead of media player, I transferred some songs over perfectly but when disconnected from the laptop my trackpad does not respond.....I have tried a soft reset, taking the battery out while the phone is still on, leaving the battery and sim out for 5 mins, what else can I do??
Can you only use one model of BB on the S/W on the same laptop? Am I going to have to reinstall??
