BB Storm 9530/9500 :: Keyboard Shortcut Isnt Working
Mar 4, 2010I upgraded my 9500's OS to 5.0.0.425 post which I haven't been able to bring up the keyboard by swiping my finger from the bottom of the screen to the middle. However when I try to swipe it down, the keyboard does disappear. Is this a common problem with the 5.0.0.425 or is it just me who is unlucky?

Mar 8, 2011As if they are not connected, i can move the trackpad left to right and up to the volume icon, but can't click, and the keyboard and side keys do nothing I pulled the battery, that didn't work, the bb site says to delete data, well tried to and 3/4 thru desktop software says the phone is disconnected, so i can't delete all the data i clicked restore, still no keys work and no water, the liquid detector is white?

May 30, 2012I have a Curve 8520, I've had it almost a year ago. Yesterday an APP ERROR 523 appeared on my screen and I found out that an application crashed. So I tried to upgrade my OS from 4 to 5. It was successful but I wasn't able to scroll down to press the OK button. After a couple of hours trying to scroll down, I pressed the OK button. But my trackpad and keyboard is not functioning well because when I pressed the home button my BB is not showing the home screen, instead it shows me my phonebook.

Feb 27, 2011I have had my BB for about a month now and it was working fine. The trackpad is very responsive and when the unit is closed the track pad works great but about a week ago the trackpad stopped working when the keyboard slider was open, after a few swipes it would come back to life however now the problem is worsened to the point where the trackpad is unresponsive when the kb is opened but as soon as I slide the kb back the track pad comes to life, this is the second unit that I have had problems with in 30 days. I have tried all the standard stuff like pulling the battery for a few hrs and such.

Mar 22, 2012My atrix works with the hd dock and saitek backlit usb keyboard fine. I also have a gigabyte bluetooth mouse thats works with the ocassional dropout. The problem is I just got a motorola bluetooth keyboard with trackpad and it doesn't work in webtop mode. The mouse portion of the keyboard works sometimes and then drops out, but I can't type anything. The caps lock light will not even come on. When I undock the phone the keyboard will work and then disconnects randomly. I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this problem. Hopefully this will be fixed with a software update.

Sep 3, 2011i woke up to my blackberry curve 3g not turning on, i plugged it into the charger then unpluged it and the screen was on. The trackpad and the keyboard was not working at all. i have tried taking the back out whilst the phone is on, however this worked once and has not worked since.

Feb 13, 2012Alright, so the trackpad isn't working, but at the same time it is. When I use it with my bare skin, it doesn't work, it takes many swips to do anything. But when I use it with say a piece of tape, or a cloth on the end of my fingers it works great and without a problem.
It's a used phone so swapping it is not an option, but is there some way to fix it?

Feb 9, 2012I went to go on my phone and the scrollpad wouldn't work, so I took it to the shop and they said update the OS to the latest, so I did, and now it only works if I REALLY lightly touch it and only then it works a tiny bit for abit a second, but it's clicking fine!

Sep 16, 2012my blackberry curve 9300 track pad just stopped working. i tried removing the battery and sim card, several times, to reboot the phone but it didnt work. later on i tried to re-insert my sim card, the track pad is moving up and down, left to right, but when i try using for clicking and opening sms or email for example, it couldnt possibly work.also, my email started coming in, but sms does not, it keeps on popping a message that my sim card messaging memory is full, when i no longer have sms kept because i deleted them to save space.

Sep 20, 2012So about a week ago, my trackpad stopped working, to get it to scroll I had to hold a piece of clothing such as my shirt between the trackpad and my thumb. It would go between working and not working without the article of clothing for a few days but now it only works if I have something between my thumb and the trackpad. Aug 2, 2011I've had my blackberry just over a month and I've looked after it, not dropped it, not damaged it in anyway.It was working fine this morning, then when I went to scroll up, it wouldn't work.I thought it had crashed so to check I pressed the red button and that worked. I realised I could scroll left and right but not up and down.So I took the battery out and resetted it then out of curiosity I just a dry wipe over the trackpad and it worked perfectly. So I tried my jumper and same again, the track pad worked perfectly, then when I use my thumb + finger, nothing, just left and right again.I rebooted it again, and still...the same.Why is it not working? (btw, I tried changing sensitivity and its still not working)

Two days ago the trackpad started to work only with ALT or SHIFT keys.Problem is:Situation 1) In the home menu the track pad scrolls great. It can move up to change ring settings, left, right, down, etc. Completely normal.Situation 2) I press the menu key and the trackpad no longer works. I can't scroll left right up or down through the icons. Now when I try holding the alt key OR the shift key, the track pad works again.. Only in some menus do I need to hold the alt or shift key to activate the track pad (and I need to hold the shift or alt key for the track pad to work, ie, if I release the alt/shift key it no longer responds)Situation 3) When sending a text message when I use the track pad to scroll down and send a message, it takes the last character and cycles through the symbols for that characterSpecs:Phone: Blackberry 9300 CurveSoftware: v5.0.0.845 (Platform 6.3.0.34) Done:I've tried the factory reset, removing the batter, removing the sim, etc.
