Mar 29, 2012I have a Bold 9780. My device keeps freezing with the little black box showing up on the screen showing its busy. It is draining my battery quickly.

IPhone :: Freezing Up With Black Screen
Jun 30, 2010I was running the cnbc real time app and my screen went dark. I could see the backlight was still on but the screen was a lit black screen. For a few minutes I presses all the buttons and finally the phone booted up.
This morning my phone did the same thing for no reason. I finally had to press both the power button and home screen button to get it to re boot. When I ran the new game. Eliminate gun range, the phone did the same thing My concern is that I may not be able to replicate it at the genius bar if I take the phone there

Apr 13, 2014I will have my S5 freeze up and go black after trying to wake it up. My interface and messaging also feels very laggy at times where I pretty much have to wait for it to respond. I had the S view case on when it was freezing so I've removed that but it didn't work. Do you think i should just return this back to AT&T to try and get this replaced?

I have had it replaced, I've had new software put into the phone, it was working then over night I wake up and the phone isn't working, and it has done that twice. Sep 17, 2010I use SlickTasks and BB Calendar. Past few days I've had a lot going on and can have as many as 8 ST alerts + 3 or so calendar alerts pop up at once. (Don't want it that way, it's just the way it worked out.) Anyway, then by Bold freezes up. Usually under a minute or so, then it finally responds and I can dismiss or delay alerts. Is that too many for the phone to handle? The only thing I've done differently lately is d/l a trial of Calendar Pro last week, but missed the 40% off sale deadline so haven't been using it. No alerts are coming from it.

Nov 18, 2010I started the wireless update last night before I went to sleep. It got to the restore process and has not moved. I tried a battery pull, I left the battery out for about 2 or 3 minutes. The phone itself is not frozen. It keeps pulling up the icon that lets you know it is TRYING to work, but no progress is being made. This being my third attempt at getting it to work by using a battery pull, It is stuck at 1% and has been trying to complete the update for 28 minutes.

BB Bold 9000 :: When Try To Sync There Is No Device And PIN Number Showing On Device Mgr?
Apr 21, 2010Desktop mgr 5.0.1.37.When I connect (via USB) the connection appears to be recognised - clock appears on BB and PC beeps. After a few minutes PC & BB icons appear on BB screen but no interconnecting arrows. When I try to sync there is no device and PIN number showing on Device Mgr so it doesn't sync. Then the Desktop Mgr greys out and appears to freeze - I then have to disconnect the BB to unfreeze.
Device manager shows two RIM virtual serial ports v2 Com 3 & Com 4. If I try to update the drivers it says most up to date are loaded although the drivers are dated 24 Nov 2008 and are version 2.2.0.3 and appear to be called RimSerial_AMD64.sys (I'm using Intel i7 processor).
Devices & Printers screen shows a RIM Composite Device icon.
Windows in Win 7 Home Premium 64 bit.

Nov 5, 2012I am getting extremely frustrated with my phone. For the last couple of weeks, my phone has been freezing. It freezes when I try to send a picture via text message. It freezes when I try to get images in my email. It does not freeze when I use or send pics via BBM. I have deleted pictures, videos and unnecessary apps on my phone. I have pulled the battery on my phone about 50 times in the last couple of weeks, once 6 times in an hour. I have backed it up using BB Desktop. I even bought a new battery but it's still happening. Please note, I have had this phone for 17 months and have NEVER had these issues before. It all started after the last software upgrade (6.0 Bundle 2921 (6.0.0.666, platform 6.6.0.241) about 2 or 3 weeks ago. I am getting extremely frustrated with my phone. Mar 30, 2010I am currently doing a backup and restore on my Windows 7 Laptop (see other thread i started for reason.The tasks have been running fine, until the restoring process/task where it is currently on Task 12/12. However, the task seems to have not made any further progress after approximately 55% of the overall restore process, and 80% of Database: BBGroups. there is no option to cancel (its greyed out) and the yellow bar at the top is telling me not to disconnect the device as the device/data may become unusable if disconnected before the process finishes.
The overall process was quick (approx 15 minutes) until the above it's taken over an hour now and it doesnt seem like it will ever finish.
