IPhone :: 2G - Unlocked / Jailbroke / Device Stuck On A Black Screen
May 17, 2010
Need some help here please. I have an unlocked/jailbroken Iphone 2G that I've been using basically as an Ipod. I did a reset via the Iphone to erase everything off of it and now it is stuck on a black screen with a pineapple. Itunes does not recognize the phone.
tryed to dfu my iphone 3g. now it is stuck with a black screen responding nothing at all . i tried everythin resesting, even restore through itunes. nothing is workin..and on all that itunes has stopped detecting it now.
I have noticed the screen not turning on occasionally when phone is unlocked. This only seems to happen in the car when connected to BT, and phone is set in the holder. I can still make a call via car's BT dialer, but even then the screen wont come on.
the black screen is the one shows the number and the possible actions to do, but nothing happen even pressing cancel or accept, the only way i can solved is rebooting the iphone
i've just updated ios version but during restore it goes shut down and then i try to reset the i device but notthing happened when i reset the i device it'll went in dfu mode automatically i'm afraid is there any problem with mine's i deivce mine's i device isn't turning on no apple logo no hard reset works ?
I was in the process of downloading a couple of apps, and my iphone froze. I restarted it. Now, i'm stuck on the reboot black screen with the white apple logo. its been this way going on an hour or so.
I was updating my Iphone 5 to the new update and left it plugged in to finish the update. When I came back it was stuck on the white loading screen and a message on the computer said iTunes could not connect to the Iphone because it was locked with a passcode and wants me to enter the passcode. However I cannot enter the passcode because the phone won't let me. I cannot get the iphone to shut off or restart as my top button hasn't been very responsive lately.
I was on instagram and it froze I hit the power button to put it to "sleep" and I tried to open it back up and its been stuck at a dark screen. I tried holding the power button in order to reset and nothing happens.. When I press the home button siri turns on but I can't get anywhere with that either.
After i deleted an app called IM+ my phone rebooted and has been stuck on this black loading screen with the white lettering Blackberry logo and name. The status bar goes to the top...THEN IT REPEATS IN A NEVERENDING LOOP! Even when i start Blackberry Desktop it of course wont even connect to my device because it is not loaded.
So I wanted to get some free hearthstone card back and free packs, which were only given out to people with Samsung Galaxy S6. Apparently there was a way to get this on any device by editing "ro.product.brand" and "ro.product.model" in build.prop.
I did this, restarted my device and got my stuffs pretty easily. After this, I replaced the build.prop with my backup copy and restarted my phone. But, this time the phone is not booting. After google logo, it's stuck with black screen.
So far I have tried clearing cache but didn't work. Also, I tried to use adb to pull the build.prop but unfortunately I get "error:Closed" even though "adb devices" does show up my phone.
So I had my phone in my pocket all night, with a screen code lock so nothing could be pressed, and when I woke up and took it out everything was in black and white (apps, texts, entire interface). I know this is what happens when you turn on Ultra Power Save mode, but it wasn't enabled when I checked. I enabled and disabled that mode, cleared my cache partition, checked under Direct Access to make sure Grayscale wasn't on, rebooted, and I've restarted a couple of times. Nothing.
I have had my blackberry torch 9800 since march 2011, so that's 7 months.
while downloading bbm music earlier, just as it was finishing downloading, my phone switched itself off, and went to the black blackberry screen with the white loading bar at the bottom. it has been in a loop on this screen for about half an hour now, and i am very worried! the white loading bar gets to about 3 quarters of the way done and shuts down and starts the process all over again. i've tried taking the battery out, putting my phone on charge and nothing will help it!
So I tried to root my 6P with the Nexus Root toolkit , first I unlocked the bootloader, that went well . After that I tried to root it but my build number wasn't there (MDB08L) So I researched if that would be a problem and a couple of people said they followed the same instructions as with the MDB08K build and it worked just fine on theirs so I proceeded.
I selected the "any build" from the options on the toolkit and it seemed to be going well, I followed the instructions , flashed the files on twrp and from there I rebooted and it got stuck on a bootloop... :/ so then I tried to use the toolkit to fix the bootloop and selected the MDB08K and after it ran and finished it isn't exactly bootlooping but it is now stuck on the black Google logo and does nothing ...
I have missed the 24th preorder date and I was wondering if by any chance even 1 in million manage to get on hold of a payg iphone 4 (uk) from a carrier like orange, 3 etc. Is there a difference having an officially unlocked iphone from apple vs an ultrasn0w etc. unlock device?? (other than any ethical/moral issues ). Any specific stuff that I will not be able to perform with such an unlock?, any downsides like slowdowns (if it’s a 24/7 background running service etc) ?
I know that O2 official unlock iphones for $15, but I haven’t found any certain info on the other carriers. (note: the phone will not be used to UK at all, so some proposed actions from carriers like: “use the phone for 3 months with the carrier and then ask for an unlock” will not work in my case.)
I had over half a charge after sending a text message yesterday around 3pm. I looked at the phone at 4:30 and the screen was black and the device doesn't respond. I removed the battery and put it back to no avail. If I plug it in, the green light comes on - the Motorola splash screen displays - then a battery meter displays.
I unlocked my 3GS using Blacksn0w and my Wifi does not pick up Wi-Fi Networks.I have working wi-fi Belkin router that it picked up all the time before I unlocked. My Edge and 3G works. What can I do to get the Wi-Fi back on this phone to pick up other networks?
i recently got a bold 9700 bought used from someone. it is locked on rogers. I was updating it from os5 to os5, using desktop manager. As soon as it finished loading the os, an error 602 popped up, so i wiped the device on BBSAK so i could reload the os again. now the device is stuck on an error 507 screen. i know that i just have to reload the os, but when i plug it in using a USB cable, since it is stuck on the error 507 screen it cant connect to desktop manager or BBSAK!
I recently jailbroke my phone and I wasn't very satisfied with the result so i set about restoring my iphone through the settings > General > reset method. My iphone then proceeded to restart it self and reboot at which time it froze and became completely lifeless so i did a quick reboot (holding the home and lock button for several seconds hoping it might fix it and it didnt) and now hasnt started for 2 day.
Can someone please shed some advice on how i can fix this problem as the phone will load up as far as the apple symbol and then completely freezes before going to the login screen so i am unable to use my iphone full stop.
I got this iphone used, it was already jailbroken to ois 4 and unlocked (I use T-M) but it was running slow so I downgraded to 3.1.2 and initially, everything was fine. I used cydia to unlock and used it for a few days. I was downloaded some theme in cydia and the file wasn't fully downloaded and cydia closed out and wouldn't open again. I read online that it had something to do with the update and the un-completed download. No big deal, I used iphonebrowser to delete the update files, still didn't open. Whatever, so I restored the whole phone and started from scratch and re-jailbroke it (with redsn0w 0.9.3), and tried to open cydia to unlock and it would look like it was opening and then take me back to springboard. I restored it again and re-jailbroke it with a different version of redsn0w and cydia still doesn't open. I read online to delete the "zottd" files but I looked through every file folder in the phone and I don't have any.
I don't understand why but I noticed I don't receive any emails anymore unless I launch the mail app.. I went in the settings and it's still set as "push".Does anybody know what could have caused this issue?
I am helping out a friend who has a Nokia 6280. She claimed that it's infected by a virus because her problems started after using a Bluetooth headset. I don't quite believe this as I've heard it's more likely to be struck by lightning than to have this phone infected with a virus. Anyhow, the problem is the following: When you power on the phone, you get the Nokia handshake, then the phone loads. However, as soon as the phone loads, a bunch of black lines appear to streak across the screen rendering it black. That's not a huge issue because it goes away after a few seconds. Now I've read this could be an issue related to the ribbon that connects to the screen, but the screen turning black does not occur in any other instance other than right after when the main screen appears. I can play with the slider all day and nothing will happen, but like clockwork the problem appears after the phone loads. What gives? The phone works fine otherwise, so what could the problem be? If you need any more information I will be happy to provide. I've uploaded a video of this issue here (using my 5800 XpressMusic at night - the quality isn't that great sorry, but it does show the problem). Pardon the audio - my kids were watching Spongebob Squarepants so you might want to turn the audio all the way down! I guess my question is two-fold:
1) can this in fact be the result of a virus? 2) if this isn't due to a virus, what is it due to?
i have bought this unlocked phone for about 550$, but internet is stuck on edge(not even 2g) which is incredibly slow. Please help me solve this i have searched internet but just a few ppl has the same problem with unlocked samsung galaxy S2 and tmobile. That made me think that there might be a solution like changing the Tmobile sim card(i dont know if there is only one type of sim card), entering an unlock code provided by tmobile, or going to a samsung maintenance service and let them fix it or anyother? I have updated to the new firmware but did no effect.I cant understand how such a big company like samsungs' cutting edge new phone comes out of the factory with unsupporting the USAs one(Tmobile) of the 2(Tmobile,ATT) GSM networks data frequency.
