I want to delete my Gmail account from BIS. So I went into the email preferences and deleted the account. I then noticed that the mail folder icon for my Gmail account was still showing up, so I went in and deleted the Gmail service books. That seems to have removed the account. I now went back to using the Gmail app (the one provided by Google), but what I'm noticing is that it no longer shows the yellow star on the Gmail logo when I have new mail. It works fine on my wife's BB (she has the same model as me). The app does retrieve the new message, but it seems as if it is not recognizing it as a new message. Did I properly remove the Gmail account from BIS?
I had a pop email account first but then tried Nokia email which I prefer now. How can I get rid of the POP email account? There seems to be nothign where I would be able to delete it.

I have an unlocked Bold 9700 running OS 5 that I used briefly with an international SIM card service from the UK, and then abroad with a totally different provider (on a corporate enterprise plan). I recently re-established residence in the US and am allowing my son to use the BB for now. We have a new SIM from AT&T that has never had a BB account provisioned on it. I did a full security wipe on the phone. The phone is still receiving mail from a yahoo.com account. When I go to Setup -> Personal Email Setup and then click "back" (so as not to set up a new account) I get a message "An email address does not currently exist for your Blackberry device" -- and yet I am still receiving messages on the yahoo.com account and can reply, check out folders, etc. When I check the Service Books, there is no listing for any service book associated with the email account; indeed, no CMIME listing at all.How can I remove email access to the yahoo.com account from this phone? How in the world is it still receiving emails?
My Yahoo e-mail account won't delete. I wanted to remove my Yahoo account on my 9780 and went into setup to delete it. It no longer shows as a listed account in the setup menu but it still appears as an icon on the homepage. It's still active retrieving messages. I tried rebooting by removing the battery to no avail.
I got a message that I needed to revalidate my windows live hotmail account. I treid to do this several times but I kept getting the message to revalidate. I was told by verizon to try and delete the email account and then re-add it. I deleted it but now can't add it because it says that my information is wrong or my account doesn't exist. What is going on?
I've bought a Blackberry Curve 9300 a few weeks ago and I've added 3 e-mail accounts to it the same day to see how it works, it worked fine on the first day but on the next one it stopped working. Only then I created a BIS account - which TIM is my carrier -. Now the problem is: I can't delete these 3 accounts I've added earlier. I've tried to add them again trying to make it work properly, but I am unable to re-add them. On my BIS carrier website, It says that I've reached the maximum e-mail accounts.
How can I delete these e-mail accounts? I've tried the methods found on the web, like the one to "reconciliate"(?) the e-mail account option through wifi (on the phone). PS: My Blackberry is running a 6.0 bundle 2391 OS.

I have an iPhone4 which had a previous owner and I'm trying to delete the email account associated with FaceTime but I do not know the password to the account. Is there anyway that I can change the default account without having the password to login?
I've recently purchased a used 9900 and have gotten stumped on the following problem. The previous owner's emails are still coming into the general messages inbox.
Since I've gotten the device, I've done a full security wipe (multiple times), upgraded the OS to 7.1.0.402 (1333) and have gone through the service books without any success.
I've contacted the seller, who has in turn contacted Rogers Wireless to remove BIS service from his account (he switched to iphone) however, the messages from 2 of his internet based email accounts (Gmail & Yahoo) continue to be pushed to the 9900.
I've wiped the device (on-baord and via pc), I've re-entered by BBID, I've even attempted to access Rogers BIS activation page however, when I request the password to be resent, it send a blank field in the email.

I want to delete my work email account from my iphone, but am being told that I will loose my personal contact becuase they are being backed up to that account. Will icloud keep my contacts if I were to loose them?
For a variety of reasons, I decided to use Gmail to aggregate all of my email accounts instead of the Messaging application. After a factory reset, one of my email accounts is still showing up in my Messaging application and my Universal Inbox. This, naturally, seems to be interfering with Gmail getting messages from that account. When I went to Manage Accounts, however, the email account I doesn't show up, meaning I can't delete it.So to recap:1. I had an AOL email account set up.2. I set up Gmail to read and manage my AOL account.3. I factory reset my phone4. The AOL account still appears in my Messaging application and my Universal Inbox
