View 1 RepliesWhy I cannot add widgets like accuWeather??I drag and drop them but there is no result. E.g., when I add accuweather and choose my city there is no widget in the screen.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI just got my Droid Turbo, and while I was setting it up I vaguely remember seeing a settings screen for the command center widget. I didn't really understand yet what the command center was at that time, so I didn't change any of the settings. Now, however, I'm trying to get back to see what setting changes are possible and for the life of me can't figure out how to get to the settings screen.
When I tap on an open area of the command center near the top left (right under where the target GPS icon is displayed), a screen opens up for a VERY BRIEF quarter of a second and the top says "Command Center", as if that is going to open the settings screen. But then it immediately changes to the weather detail screen.
how do I get back to it?
as per the subject, the widget disappeared from my screen after it was at the top of my home screen. I went into widgets and there's no time on the one in there, nor is there anything for it under Clocks. I've looked all over to find a widget to replace this, from Accuweather, and I can't.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI got my atrix 2 yesterday and it was set up in Erie PA at the Best Buy and when I post things to FB or my weather widget, it says I'm in Wesleyville PA which is not too far away but far enough to make a difference. How do I change this? I've trashed the widget and now just use accuweather but the FB posts are irritating me.

View 2 Replies View RelatedThe problem is with the location identification (name). The address resolution can fall to a Range of addresses and blocks out the ability to use it im 1/2 mile increments at our work location. My phone appears to be accurate on gmaps to within 20 feet of my actual location. When I go to add the additional locations they all try to use the same app provided name. they are anywhere fromm 300 yards to one mile apart. Why can't it use a user defined name to stop the conflict? I have business uses for this if it is possilble. Like security guard tracking. The application finds the locations using GPS coordinates in place of addresses correctly but then converts to a street address thats not correct for a name...
View 4 Replies View RelatedThe phone defaults to store everything on the internal storage instead of the SD card. I called Sprint, but they did not know a way. I cannot directly access the internal memory through the USB. Is there a way to make it store everything on the SD card? For instance I shoot video and it all goes into the internal memory. The only way I can get it onto my computer is to first move it to the SD card, then I can move it to my PC.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI got a problem with my Z2 gps system. A few app's say that my GPs is turned off when its not and the weather widget can't find my location, and whem i'm lucky it does but gets it completly wrong, usealy about 15km in the wrong direction. Strangely a lot of GPS requierd app's work fine. Rebooting the phone hasn't worked and re-instal the non working app's neither. At first i thought the problems where in the app's but I find it hard to belive that that many app's have the same problem and also the weather widget that was factory installed doesn't work properly.
View 10 Replies View RelatedI came from the HTC One (M7) where the weather/time widget would update without the "location" being on. It updated with the network. So if I was at home, my weather widget would show info for my current location. If I was at work, I received the weather info for the current location, all without the need to have my location set to on. All this was accomplished through Verizon's network. Now with my LG G3, I can only have updated weather if I manually do it or if I turn the location setting on.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI've recently traveled overseas and had the weather widget on my homescreen. It updated sucessfully via wifi while I was there. When I've returned to the states, however, my widget still says the foreign city, the dates for the weather are the dates of my travel and it won't update.
In addition, if I try to add any city, it says "Can't add new city now. Try again later." This happens over both the data connection and wifi. I've done everything but a factory reset, including rebooting and removing & re-adding the widget.
The owner's guide says to tap the widget until vibration, then drag corner to new size. All that happens for me is that the calendar wants to move to a new position. On one attempt, the widget went into the trash. When I re-installed the widget, it came back in half its previous size (now 2x2 where it was 4x2). I cannot resize this widget either.
View 14 Replies View RelatedWhen did Moto update the native blur weather widget? Last time I looked at it, it kind of had the same theming as the toggle widgets. It looks pretty nice now. how often the widget updates? There is no option to change the update interval so I'm wondering how often it actually does this.
View 1 Replies View RelatedAfter installing any new app that has a widget it does not appear in the App Drawer with the other widgets. I have to reboot my MAXX for the widget to show up. Couple of the apps this is happening with is Jango and The Weather Channel. This only started happening after upgrading to ICS.
View 5 Replies View RelatedThis may have already been asked.Does anyone know if there is a way to collapse the add widget screen so that I only see 1 line for each kind of widget and then how many of that widget there are?I swear that my droid 1 showed the list like that, but I could be mistaken. I am just getting sick of scrolling though the multitude of beautiful widgets and fancy widgets.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI know it displays a picture. But pressing the play button does nothing. Pressing the camera button does bring up the camera in 8MP mode-Yay!-which is a work around for the normal camera icon resorting to WS mode everytime the phone is rebooted or the camera app cleared from RAM.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI found a peculiar issue. I found that the weather widget would not update even if I set the refresh interval at an hour or did a manual update. I played with the 3 location settings (high accuracy, power savings, and GPS only) that are new with Kit Kat. I found that none of them worked unless I had my wifi enabled. It did not have to be connected, just enabled. As soon as I enabled wifi it would refresh with no issues.
I disable my wifi when away from my house to save battery, it looks like I won't be able to do this anymore if I want location services to work correctly. I also found that this was impacting my llama application (location specific phone settings).
How do I get the weather widget box (the one that shows the next 3 days) to stay on the location I want, I can touch it and then select perth but it always defaults to Sydney when on the home screen

View 2 Replies View RelatedThe stock Motorola Widgets/Weather widget has taken a nosedive since the OTA Gingerbread update hit my Droid X. The stock widget uses Accuweather.com data and it always previously behaved correctly with Froyo.
The problem I'm facing is that even though the Current Location/Show current location on widget green box is checked, the "current location" doesn't automatically update as I travel from town to town, as it used to do with Froyo.
I have the Settings/Location & security/Google location services green box checked. I have the Settings/Location & security/Standalone GPS services and VZW location services grey boxes unchecked.
Anyone else using the social networking widget notice that after viewing a bunch of items (typically tweets or facebook updates) they frequently show up again the next time I look for new entries? Most of the time it works as expected - items show up until I view them once, then no longer. Too often though I have to scroll through a bunch of updates multiple times
View 1 Replies View Relatedhow often some of these blur widgets are refreshing themselves. There doesn't seem to be a setting to set a refresh rate, and no matter if they are on the homescreen or not I notice that they are loading themselves into RAM anyway. For instance, social networking, weather, news, bookmarks widgets, etc are auto-loading into the RAM.So the question is, will it make any difference if I add the blur widgets to the homescreens or not? Would there be a performance/battery/ram difference if they were not on the homscreens? Could I get better battery life with or without the widgets, or does it make any difference so I might as well add them to the homescreens?I pretty much have OCD when it comes to trying to squeaze every last bit of performance out of my devices.
