I'm using a nokia 808 phone and after doing a factory reset the my location widget is gone. Is there any standalone installer for this? this is my first reset of my phone since I bought it..

Fully updated software,Maps and Drive work fine - no probs at all.When I first added the "my location" widget worked fine - great idea - useful for quickly bookmarking a location.But now it won't update, just stays blank, or says can't find location, and when I go to maps, it finds me immediately.I can't find any setting for the widget
View 2 Replies View RelatedI was having connectivity issues with my n8, and found that if I turned it off then on again, it would work ok again.Yesterday I did this, and when it restarted, it came up with the "select a country" etc. It had done a factory reset by itself. I hadn't backed up for a while, and lost all my contacts and files, even the contacts stored on my SIM card!Plugging it into my PC to have a look, the mass memory says 14.2GB free of 14.2GB (ok, there is nothing left), but the phone memory says 0 free of 255MB. ie full! But checking all the folders, there is nothing there.

I notice that every 2 or 3 days, the widget does not launch the mail app anymore when I tap it. Power on/off cycle resumes correct behavior.I am currently trying to find if anything special might trigger the bug, but did not find anything so far.

I ran the update but the next time I restarted the phone the widget was gone from my 3rd home screen (where it was is empty). I tried adding it again but it does not appear on the list of available widgets. When I go into Application Manager -> Installed Applications and view the log it says the last installed app is Nat Geo (2.03(6)). how I can get the widget back?

I have uninstalled the Social App and the widget app from the applications. I ran a software update check, which show me the Social App to download, it is ok, it was reinstall successfully, but... where is the widget for the Social app?So how can I reinstall the Nokia Social App widget again? Why is it so big now? It takes up nearly half a home screen. I'm using facebook summary now but I have to click on it rather than just glancing at what's going on with the narrow widget info of my friends updates.If you're happy with the narrow social widget for that reason then don't update, also if you're not into this fat Belle widget thing Nokia seems to have going.There's a difference between giving us the option to have more home screens to actually forcing us to use them. Nokia, you're winding me up.

I pressed ok but it then told me I had too many things open and to go close some. I went and closed some but when I got back to the page it said it had aborted the update. View 2 Replies View RelatedThe Music Widget does not jump correctly to the currently playing track when clicked on. It instead goes to the music library list and on top of that does not go the currently active album, but goes to the beginning of the list. Once in that state if you go back to the home screen and use the music shortcut instead, that too will mimic the widget behavior.The only way to correctly jump to the current track is to have the music player in currently playing view then go to the homescreen and use the music shortcut only. Then It behaves correctly.This is an annoying bug when one is listening to music all day at work every day.

The first calendar comes with Mail For Exchange, the second from Outlook (synchronization with the Nokia Suite). Calendar Widget only shows events from the Exchange account, and newly added to the second calendar. It does not matter whether the added element: task, meeting. I can only see those that will add to the phone. Synchronized with Outlook do not appear.

I got a problem with my Z2 gps system. A few app's say that my GPs is turned off when its not and the weather widget can't find my location, and whem i'm lucky it does but gets it completly wrong, usealy about 15km in the wrong direction. Strangely a lot of GPS requierd app's work fine. Rebooting the phone hasn't worked and re-instal the non working app's neither. At first i thought the problems where in the app's but I find it hard to belive that that many app's have the same problem and also the weather widget that was factory installed doesn't work properly.

So if I was at home, my weather widget would show info for my current location. If I was at work, I received the weather info for the current location, all without the need to have my location set to on. All this was accomplished through Verizon's network. Now with my LG G3, I can only have updated weather if I manually do it or if I turn the location setting on.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI found a peculiar issue. I found that the weather widget would not update even if I set the refresh interval at an hour or did a manual update. I played with the 3 location settings (high accuracy, power savings, and GPS only) that are new with Kit Kat. I found that none of them worked unless I had my wifi enabled. It did not have to be connected, just enabled. As soon as I enabled wifi it would refresh with no issues.
I disable my wifi when away from my house to save battery, it looks like I won't be able to do this anymore if I want location services to work correctly. I also found that this was impacting my llama application (location specific phone settings).
How do I get the weather widget box (the one that shows the next 3 days) to stay on the location I want, I can touch it and then select perth but it always defaults to Sydney when on the home screen
