The latest Opera Mini from OVI Store (version 7.0(29980)) is not working on my N8 with Belle anymore.Install is OK but when I start the browser there is a message about font calculation and when it comes to about 82% it always crashes the phone (restart) I then downloaded the sis from the Opera site, installed it and everything works nice again. This is version 7.0(29974)

View 1 Replies View RelatedJust finished reinstalling my 701 after a factory reset (*#7370#) and reinstall Belle FP1. Restored just data, contacts, messages. Didn't restore apps and config from backup. AND lost long time reinstalling all my apps, one by one. I was pretty happy about the result, when I tried to open OVI Music app... And it wouldn't start! Just shows a circle for less than one second and terminates before starting.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI was having connectivity issues with my n8, and found that if I turned it off then on again, it would work ok again.Yesterday I did this, and when it restarted, it came up with the "select a country" etc. It had done a factory reset by itself. I hadn't backed up for a while, and lost all my contacts and files, even the contacts stored on my SIM card!Plugging it into my PC to have a look, the mass memory says 14.2GB free of 14.2GB (ok, there is nothing left), but the phone memory says 0 free of 255MB. ie full! But checking all the folders, there is nothing there.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am on product code 0599399, updated my Ovi suite to Nokia Suite 3.3.86 and started the process to download and update my N8 running on anna to belle. It finished downloading the large update file and went through the process of backing up my contents and after that I got an error message "Something went wrong" Next screen it tells me that "Your phone is restarting" (with a couple of warning messages) but I have been on this screen for at least 45 mins now without any progress. My phone is still behaving as per norm but I'm not sure about what to do next. It doesn't seem like it had started the process of updating my phone yet but I'm being given instructions not to touch the phone or even disconnect the cable.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have found that once in a while the phone refuses to charge via nokia wall charger or connect via usb to a computer. This is with both official Nokia wall charger and trying a Nokia usb data cable.

View 2 Replies View RelatedMy Defy kept restarting approximately 5 seconds after starting up. Without being able to access any settings I tried a factory reset via the on button / volume down button. I'm not sure how long this should have taken but decided after a few hours of nothing more than a yellow dot moving across the screen that it wasn't working. Button presses / screen taps had no affect so I pulled the battery. On powering it up it now either gets as far as the Moto Blur or T-Mobile logos but just hangs there. Further attempts to factory reset give the same result as the first time.I've noticed two lines of text when accessing the reset screen which read 'E:Can't open /cache/recovery/command' and 'E:Can't open /cache/recovery/caller'. I think these were present at the first attempt but I'm not totally sure of this.In cast it's relevant the phone shipped with Eclair, I changed this to Froyo using the Motorola software upgrade some months ago, it had been working fine since apart from not saving photos (?).
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a Verizon HTC One, not rooted. The only update I did was yesterday installed Humin app for Contact Management. Today (while it was 85% charged) it got frozen while reading a message on Whatspp. I pressed Power button for a few seconds and it switched off. But now as I start it by holding the power button, it vibrates after 10 secs, shows HTC, and then shuts off after 5 seconds. If I keep holding, keeps going through this loop.
I pressed volume down button and then power button, and get to HBOOT screen with three Android icons. I can use the volume buttons to go up and down on options, but if I choose Recovery, or Factory Reset or even Show Barcode, and then press power button, this screen also gets frozen!!
As the title says. The date on the start screen is stuck and doesn't change. Now it's tuesday, but it still says it's monday on the phone. The clock is ok. Also the calendar is ok (events and everything). This happened 3 times in the last month or so. I have a few programs running. The one I'm suspecting the most now is X-Plore (trial version). It's the only extra program that I'm running from a few days before when this bug didn't happen. But I'm not sure, since this is an old bug that happened quite some time before and I don't remember if X-Plore was running then. Also, when I'm entering some numbers on the start screen there is the correct date, but when I clear those numbers it shows the wrong date again. I don't know exactly what fixes it, a restart for sure, but also some other actions I think.

I used the factory reset option in my Sony Xperia Z3 and the process is never ending it keeps in the android logo doing the factory reset and it has been like that for like 4 hours now. it should take only 5 minutes but I dunno what is happening.I waited the process to end for 4 hours and after nothing else happened I decided to unplug the charger and wait for it to run out of battery. Then I turned it on again and nothing changed, it went back to the factory reset process with the android logo.
Then I tried pressing the hard reset button located where the 64 GB SD Card is, and still nothing after turning it on again. Once again the cell phone restarted the factory reset process and right now another four horus passed and nothing.
The phone is heating so I am using a laptop cooler to cool the phone and avoid the heating process that is caused by the factory reset process.I still havent tried to remove the SD card.and tried to restart the process.
I was having issues with notifications not work and live tiles not updating so I figured I'd just do a hard reset/factory restore and it'd fix everything. The factory reset started and it's now been almost 4 hours and they are still spinning. I have tried to do some of the tips given for the 920 when it had the same issue but none of them have worked. I also don't know of anyway to reflash/unbrick a 1020.
I've tried: Input these keys on the following sequence, press them one key at a time: Volume up Volume down Power key Volume down...
Having issues performing factory resets? My Nexus 5 seems incapable of completing it. So far I have tried doing a factory reset from the settings menu 4 times. Every single time it locks up on the erasing step. I don't mean it takes a little longer. I have let it sit for almost half an hour and the little android robot sits there taunting me.Every time I have had to manually go into the bootloader and sideload a factory image, which works fine.
View 10 Replies View RelatedI had downloaded the new OTA patch about 3 days ago and noticed a lot of battery drain. So I tried to factory reset it and now its just stuck on Erasing with Green Android working. It had, I guess crashed, with the red triangle and I had to hard reset the phone which is now back at Erasing.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI did a factory reset. It was stuck in "Erasing" for an hour.
1. Restart -> Booted back to Erase mode
2. Bootloader -> Recovery mode -> Booted back to Erase mode
3. Bootloader -> Start -> Booted back to Erase mode
4. USB connection -> no device recognized

my phone has been playing up and generally malfunctioning lately. It seems to work fine for a day or so before freezing, and either rebooting itself or forcing me to manually reboot it using power + volume down. This seems to send it into a bootloop where it generally freezes during the Samsung animation with the pulsing squares. This sequence continues with me manually rebooting, also trying to boot to safe mode and to recovery and after various attempts, i successfully got into recovery without it freezing on the blue android.
I then decided to factory reset as a last option, having looked around on forums for solutions. However, I now do not know what to do as it seems to have frozen during the factory reset. I dont have screenshots but the script reads as follows :
dm-verity verification failed. . .

I have just updated my N8 to belle refresh. Unfortunately, after updating it my N8 home screen is working as before; I can't add any shortcuts or widgets to the home screen BUT I can take out the existing shortcuts and widgets.
View 2 Replies View RelatedSo I updated to Marshmallow from Lollipop via fastboot on my Mac. Upon installing SuperSU and rebooting, I got stuck on the boot animation. Cache wipe and factory reset - still no go, and after the factory reset, I lost TWRP. I tried installing it again only to receive a black screen when rebooting into recovery mode. Tried another factory reset and reinstalled Marshmallow - same issue. I have contacted Google and there's nothing they can do.
View 4 Replies View Relatedmy mobile was working perfectly fine until I turned it off.And as soon as I turned it off, it got stuck on dim NOKIA logo screen. It vibrates when I slide the side switch. And also when I press the Menu button the Lock screen comes, but when I press the Unlock tab it goes back to NOKIA logo But doesnt do anything else... I really don't want to loose any data... If I wait until it runs out of battery (as the battery was also low, probablly 20-30% left) and then I plug the charger will it start working? I want to keep the hard reset as a very very last option...

View 1 Replies View RelatedLast night i went to sleep with my blackberry turned on with full battery, this morning when i woke up no more than 6 hours later my phone was stuck on the start up/ loading screen with the blackberry logo and the loading bar 2/3 the way complete. The phone continues to stay at 2/3 the way finished and will not proceed with the booting up of the smart phone.
I'm not sure how it decided to turn off by itself durring the night, or why it will not boot up correctly. I've tried restarting it by taking out the battery and putting it back in numerous times but it will only load up to about 2/3 the way complete.
I have all my contacts synced with my gmail account and my app data is really not important to me so if there is a way to wipe out the device i would be ok with that option.
I've never dropped the phone, or damaged it in any way so this problem must be something technical. This is the second bold 9700 that i've had in the past 6 months, I havn't even had this phone for a whole month yet. I had to get this phone as a replacement for my original 9700 because of reoccuring technical issues.
