I just started using a bold 9700. My only problem is, after receiving baout 10 test messages, i get a popup saying my sim card is nearly full! I dont want my phone to save messages to my sim, but rather my device. Ive done a lot of research and every answer refers me to going to text messaging options and unselecting "e Leave Messages On SIM Card" check box. The problem there is, I dont have that option

The phone defaults to store everything on the internal storage instead of the SD card. I called Sprint, but they did not know a way. I cannot directly access the internal memory through the USB. Is there a way to make it store everything on the SD card?For instance I shoot video and it all goes into the internal memory. The only way I can get it onto my computer is to first move it to the SD card, then I can move it to my PC.

I've had them before but have been able to download and update apps later but now it is not updating. I have tried downloading new apps and no luck either. I think i have an SD card installed.
And while updating Google Maps, I got another message saying "insufficient storage available" yet I have 9.92 GB of space available.
I just would like to know on how to change the storage location of SMS in Nokia X3-02. I tried getting into the message settings but there's no option to change the location.

One thing I'm wondering though is can the application icons on the bottom of the main (wallpaper) screen be changed for other applications? This is the default theme that came with the phone, btw. I've seen screen shots of this theme with different application icons. I set up 2 emails on my phone and now my phone has the Messages icon, 2 email icons, SMS/MMS icon, Contacts icon, and Calendar icon. I'd like to be able to switch these around if possible. For instance, I only want to see the "overall" Messages icon, and replace the 2 email icons.

The problem is the default contact location is phone memory and though i have copied the contacts to phone memory, if there is any incoming call or sms, the name doesnt appear even though i would have that persons contact stored.
Is there any way to change the default location to memory card? I go to Communication -> contacts -> Options -> Settings and the only option available is Phone & Contacts. Currently the default is phone. If i change to contacts, it asks for sign in. Kindly assist.
The problem is with the location identification (name). The address resolution can fall to a Range of addresses and blocks out the ability to use it im 1/2 mile increments at our work location. My phone appears to be accurate on gmaps to within 20 feet of my actual location. When I go to add the additional locations they all try to use the same app provided name. they are anywhere fromm 300 yards to one mile apart. Why can't it use a user defined name to stop the conflict? I have business uses for this if it is possilble. Like security guard tracking. The application finds the locations using GPS coordinates in place of addresses correctly but then converts to a street address thats not correct for a name...

I have 2 email accounts but I predominantly use my Yahoo one. However, if I open my Yahoo emails on the Blackberry and select 'Compose email' it will automatically send my email from my 'Default email' which is my other email address. I can of course change the 'send from...' setting but I often forget which is annoying when the email has already gone. I have tried all ways to change the 'Default email' setting but I can't find out a way of doing this.

I've tried to cancel this email address on Google Mailbox and I remove this email address setting in my Bold 9700 as well. But this email address still exist in the filed of Contact List (SYNC)?
Anybody know how to remove or change it? Because in this field, there is no other option to change to my other email addresses!

View 7 Replies View RelatedMe and two others recently got new bold 9700 phones through work.For some reason my phone doesn't have maps or application center in the homescreen. The phone also doesn't allow me to download the AppWorld through the phone browser.I know maps and application center are installed because they are in the Options->Applications list. I also installed the AppWorld through connecting the phone to my computer. Again AppWorld doesn't show up on the homescreen but does in the applications list.
The only difference (after having a quick look) between my phone and their phones is their 'default browser configuration' is set to 'internet browser', mine only has the option of 'Vodafone Live' or 'Hotspot browser'I tried putting one of their sim cards in my phone, and I still didn't have the applications in the homescreen.All three of us have plugged our phones into the computer and updated the phones - think in the same way.

I found the bold 9700 that I have now, and I've already unlocked it. It apparently has an IT block disallowing third party apps from being downloaded, I looked it up and to remove this it says to restore the factory default settings.
