Feb 8, 2012i have tried to change the default browser on my 9700 but when i try there is no other options than hotspot browser and i cant edit it for internet browser or blackberry browser

BB Bold :: Browser Default Stuck On Hotspot?
Sep 2, 2012I have a second hand blackberry bold 900. When I go on to the browser it only brings up "hotspot browser" . I have tried to change the settings but there are no other options in the menu. Perhaps the other owner had restricitons. Should I reload my blackberry with software or what else can I do?

Mar 17, 2010Soo I could only find out how to do this on older phones (the options must have changed), but I have 2 gmail accounts set up on my Bold and I want to be able to differentiate emails from them without scolling up after I open the message. A color coding system would be ideal, where messages from one email would be a different color or something.

Feb 24, 2010I'm my gmail account on my device. I recieve emails directly into my inbox, as well as messages that skip the inbox into different folder (labels)
in the device, the main/default folder is the INBOX, whereas I prefer to use the ALL MAIL filter. Right now, I need to select FILTER, and then ALL MAIL, to see all my new emails, as opposed to those that only went into my INBOX. Any way to make the ALL MAIL folder the default one?

Oct 25, 2010Am using BB 9700 and am having problem with my BBM status message is not changing since over a month now, I have read in some forums tha I need to make my BBM contacts less than a 100 to make it change and I don't like this solution since I don't want to delete my friends any one can help.By the way if I add new contact he will see the current status message but for the old contact they will keep seeing the old.i have a dozens of friends having the same problem please RIM we need a propper solution.

Jan 27, 2010Whenever I change the sound profile, my custom alert tones for eBay and UberTwitter apps change to silent and to different sounds than those I chose.
I already tried a RIM support solution that calls for clearing a corrupted profiles database. It helped for a few days. Now the issue is back, and today it even made all my LED alerts turn to off.
A friend of mine is having the same issue. We both use the Bold with TMO's stock OS.
BB Bold :: 9700 Restarting In Loop After Changing SIM Card
May 19, 2012I've been facing great problems in turning on my Bold 9700 mobile. I just changed the sim card and from then the cell is not turning on. Whenever it stars to turn on after a few seconds it restarts, then again the actions replay. I can't even charge it as it keeps turning on and restarting again and again.

Oct 10, 2011I changed my blackberry from bold 9700 to 9780 and I am trying to activate my email for the last 10 hours but it has not been possible. Also using blackberry desktop software I tried to restore backup from my old phone to the new one but it has not updated my bbm. The previous bbm contacts are there but I cant send a message to anyone. Do I need to add all of them again?

Mar 10, 2010I read where there is pretty much no way to reassign different names to the number in the address book of the curve but can this be done on our 9700? for instance, my friend has way too many phone numbers for his job and they are all mobile numbers. Is there any way for me to label one like nextel or somehting and one personal cell and one work cell? Or have one contact for mr and mrs such and such with both cell numbers in the contact but label one his and the other hers? Am I making any sense here?

Mar 7, 2010Does anyone know how to change the default setting for the locked screen? Right now when I press key lock, my wallpaper shows for a few seconds, but then it switches to the big clock. How to I get it to stay on my wallpaper and not show the clock? I just upgraded from My curve 8300 to the Bold 9700 and the only thing I hate about it is the big clock that shows up when I lock the screen.

BB Bold 9700 :: How Do I Change The Default Icons
Jan 17, 2010Just picked up a Bold 9700 today. So far, I've been impressed with the phone itself. One thing I'm wondering though is can the application icons on the bottom of the main (wallpaper) screen be changed for other applications? This is the default theme that came with the phone, btw. I've seen screen shots of this theme with different application icons. I set up 2 emails on my phone and now my phone has the Messages icon, 2 email icons, SMS/MMS icon, Contacts icon, and Calendar icon. I'd like to be able to switch these around if possible. For instance, I only want to see the "overall" Messages icon, and replace the 2 email icons.

Jul 22, 2010Me and two others recently got new bold 9700 phones through work.For some reason my phone doesn't have maps or application center in the homescreen. The phone also doesn't allow me to download the AppWorld through the phone browser.I know maps and application center are installed because they are in the Options->Applications list. I also installed the AppWorld through connecting the phone to my computer. Again AppWorld doesn't show up on the homescreen but does in the applications list.
The only difference (after having a quick look) between my phone and their phones is their 'default browser configuration' is set to 'internet browser', mine only has the option of 'Vodafone Live' or 'Hotspot browser'I tried putting one of their sim cards in my phone, and I still didn't have the applications in the homescreen.All three of us have plugged our phones into the computer and updated the phones - think in the same way.

Aug 2, 2011I found the bold 9700 that I have now, and I've already unlocked it. It apparently has an IT block disallowing third party apps from being downloaded, I looked it up and to remove this it says to restore the factory default settings.

Feb 2, 2010I bought a new Bold 9700 a week ago.I got the synchronisation with my PC's Outlook working for calendar and contacts OK.Two days ago I set up the Blackberry so I could get my emails on it as well as the PC.Now when I go to synchronise, I get a message on the Blackberry Desktop Manager saying "The default service for your device's Calendar has changed since the last time you synchronised."Click OK to use your new default servicer and combine your data "."Click cancel to stop the synchronisation and revisit your default service options on your device."I have no idea why the default servce has changed (don't even know what it means) and what I should do. The calendar default service on the Bold shows my email address, so I guess it is something to do with my email setup.

I dont want my phone to save messages to my sim, but rather my device. May 30, 2010my blackberry has worked fine in the couple of months i have had it, however a few weeks ago the browser and bbm completely stopped working. i took the battery and sim out and then when i put them back in it worked fine again.a few days ago the same thing happened, i tried taking the sim out again and it didnt work, have done it a few times. i rang o2 and they suggested putting it on to manual network and try connecting again, have also done this a few times and it still hasnt worked. i have the right plan and pay to get unlimited browsing, it usually is fine but stopped working randomly.
