I changed my blackberry from bold 9700 to 9780 and I am trying to activate my email for the last 10 hours but it has not been possible. Also using blackberry desktop software I tried to restore backup from my old phone to the new one but it has not updated my bbm. The previous bbm contacts are there but I cant send a message to anyone. Do I need to add all of them again?

in the device, the main/default folder is the INBOX, whereas I prefer to use the ALL MAIL filter. Right now, I need to select FILTER, and then ALL MAIL, to see all my new emails, as opposed to those that only went into my INBOX. Any way to make the ALL MAIL folder the default one?
My Bold 9780 got the white screen of death. I have sent it off to get fixed, but while that is happening I have switched back to my old Bold 9700. When I try moving my old email account it says to put my email password in. I put the right password in and when I press activate it says 'Sorry, unable to continue your session. Please log in again.' I have tried logging in again multiple times but it still doesn't work, what shall I do???

I got my pac code and this worked..It took a day and then it was changed, however since doing this my blackberry server (bbm+internet) wont work..It worked perfectly fine before hand.. i have rang vodafone and they have said to wait 24 hours, which i have done so.. i have also sent a new request to the blackberry server and still nothing

A color coding system would be ideal, where messages from one email would be a different color or something.
View 5 Replies View RelatedAm using BB 9700 and am having problem with my BBM status message is not changing since over a month now, I have read in some forums tha I need to make my BBM contacts less than a 100 to make it change and I don't like this solution since I don't want to delete my friends any one can help.By the way if I add new contact he will see the current status message but for the old contact they will keep seeing the old.i have a dozens of friends having the same problem please RIM we need a propper solution.

I already tried a RIM support solution that calls for clearing a corrupted profiles database. It helped for a few days. Now the issue is back, and today it even made all my LED alerts turn to off.
A friend of mine is having the same issue. We both use the Bold with TMO's stock OS.
I've been facing great problems in turning on my Bold 9700 mobile. I just changed the sim card and from then the cell is not turning on. Whenever it stars to turn on after a few seconds it restarts, then again the actions replay. I can't even charge it as it keeps turning on and restarting again and again.

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy 9700 achieves a steady 6+ mb and my new 9780 unbranded (RIM) struggles to achieve 2mb. I have tried router channel changes and WPA - WEP and removing all security. The results remain the same.
I have been to other wifi locations with both phone's and test results are the same with the 9780 always being slower.
I'm about to update my 9700 software from .545 to the most current one. My BB is activated on my company's BES server. Will I need to re-activate BES services after the software upgrade or does the activation remain when I back up my device during the upgrade process ?

Is there any way for me to label one like nextel or somehting and one personal cell and one work cell? Or have one contact for mr and mrs such and such with both cell numbers in the contact but label one his and the other hers? Am I making any sense here?

At the Email Account Activation Screen, I am prompted to typen in the passwords for each of my email accounts. When I do this, I get the message "Sorry, unable to continue your session. Here, I was given an AT&T number, permanent number from a family plan, and I wanted to set up an email account. However, when I got to the Setup > Email Accounts, I was only given two email options, both of them were supposed to be the email accounts of the previous user of my permanent number right now. I was confused since I cannot add nor erase the email accounts which are not mine, and when I went to to blackberry site to activate my blackberry email accounts online, the site just keep on posting error messages.. Have set up BIS, but whenever I have tried to set up any of my email accounts it just keeps coming up with error - unable to connect to server, then user name and password must be incorrect, check your server. All user names and passwords correct. Have gone through the cold reboot - Registered the Blackberry, removed the Service Books and tried to reinstate the accounts and it keeps coming up with the same error.
