I have a Bold 9700 running 6.0 software. I have 2 emails attached to this balckberry and I would like to change which "Contact List" they sync to. I can view the selection when I click on a contact (at the top above the contact name), but I am unable to change it. Is there a way to change which email the contact sync's to?

If I download any application that has to do something with the contacts it only picks up the contacts. In sync with the new email. View 14 Replies View RelatedI have just synced my new blackberry bold 9780 with my pc via the desktop software.The first time it synced no problem as all but I now have duplicate contacts for both email address's and now it wont sync at all. Comes up with an error saying yahoo server is temporary unavailable.This happened with my old blackberry too and I never did manage to get it solved as Vodafone was saying its Yahoo problem and yahoo was saying it was a vodafone problem.

in the device, the main/default folder is the INBOX, whereas I prefer to use the ALL MAIL filter. Right now, I need to select FILTER, and then ALL MAIL, to see all my new emails, as opposed to those that only went into my INBOX. Any way to make the ALL MAIL folder the default one?
I changed my blackberry from bold 9700 to 9780 and I am trying to activate my email for the last 10 hours but it has not been possible. Also using blackberry desktop software I tried to restore backup from my old phone to the new one but it has not updated my bbm. The previous bbm contacts are there but I cant send a message to anyone. Do I need to add all of them again?

So does anybody know of an easy way to sync my contacts FROM my blackberry TO my gmail contacts? I have google sync on my phone, but that only messed up my contacts by dumping a bunch of duplicates into my BB contacts and it doesnt seem to reverse sync. I have since deleted my gmail contacts so I dont suffer this fate again, but cannot for the life of me figure out how to reverse sync from BB to gmail.

I use Outlook on my PC and need Outlook Connector to sync it (Outlook) to my email, contacts, and calendar.(that's a whole different rant there- why do I need special software to use a MS email account when it (Outlook) doesn't need it for gmail, yahoo, or another?)For whatever reason, the Tour will not sync ANYTHING with Outlook. The (**bleep**)Desktop Manager is no help as it doesn't recognize ANYTHING from Outlook- not email, not calendar, not contacts, etc.I am under the impression that somehow Outlook Connector messes things up. Fine. Whatever. I setup a MS Exchange email account and got it up and running, both on the PC and on the phone.Still nothing works. Oh sure my emails come through, but that's it. my contacts list doesn't sync, my calendar has zero events/tasks/appointments on it (it does but the phone doesn't think so). Hell, when I am in the calendar, the ability to wirelessly sync is grayed out.When I installed the DM, I selected the option to use a personal email address and that doesn't work. So I uninstalled and reinstalled and chose a work email address, but of course, no one tells you how to activate the damned phone to do this. And what's more, when the DM starts, it keeps reporting:"Either there is no default mail client or the current mail client cannot fulfill the messaging request. Please run Microsoft Outlook and set it as the default mail client."Well guess what? Outlook IS the default email client.Of course, RIM blames Verizon, who blames, MS, who blames the others. We all know how it is.

Contacts are auto-sync and now I have the same contact twice although in the "setting" "setup" I have untick the sync contact box I just do not understand why does that happen. I have use blackberry before but none of these happen this is so un-cool!

I don't want to use my gmail account to hold all my contacts because I used Outlook.com for emails. If i were to ever make a new contact on my phone, it then wouldn't sync with my windows live acct. I've gone through all the settings about a million times and everything is setup properly. I'm currently using an app called Force Gmail Sync to keep my Google account synced up . It works great but I'd prefer to just be running Google apps on my phone and keep everything stock. I've tried a factory reset with no luck. Any secret way to set a sync frequency for Google's Gmail and Contacts apps without using a third party app?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a DroidX version 2.2.1 and I use Corporate email. When I type in a new Calendar event into the phone it sync's to Google fine but it does not sync to my Corp Calendar. The same happens for Contacts. Here's what I've found:
1) Phone to Google works
2) Phone to Corp does not work
3) Corp to Phone works
4) Corp to Google does not work
When I first setup the phone, I setup Corp email and Gmail and the sync worked well. Some time later I removed my Corp email account from the phone only to re-add it a couple weeks later. Since then, the sync does not work the way it once did. I have set the phone so that my Corp account is the default account. I receive email on the phone with no issues. I want my Corp Calendar/Contacts to match my phone no matter whether I enter them from the phone, Google or my Corp Desktop.
i have been tryinbg to sync my contacts with my outlook. i have nearly 400 contacts on my bold and when i plug in to blackberry desktop and sync my contacts, it only says 30 contacts to sync. I thought maybe it was my bb desktop/outlook. i downloaded google sync and tried to sync that way. doing that on my phone still only recognizes 30. i went thought all my menus on my phone trying to see if the 30 contacts that sync have something selected that the others dont. It seems so weird, the contacts that sync have nothing in common.
