Jul 9, 2010I have MOST of my contacts synced with an email address that no longer exits...is there anyway to change which e-mail address they are synced to?

BB Bold 9650 :: Ringtone For Yahoo Email Goes Off Without Email
Jun 23, 2010Morning cb community...I've got a weird issue going on...not an annoyance or deal breaker just curious. Anyways lately and randomly my phones ringtone for my yahoo email goes off and there isn't an email. It vibrates and the berrybuzz led and color goes off too. The weird thing is is that there isn't even an unread email indicator with the number. The phone just goes off. Its weird. I've done battery pulls and stuff. Any thoughts? It just has me wondering. It doesn't do it for my sprint.blackberry.net email just my yahoo email.

Jan 3, 2012Activated my phone and I have several contacts on it but I am considering syncing my yahoo address book to my bold address book. I downloaded Google sync and it said that it synced calendar and contacts but I think the contacts went from the bold to Google since I don't actually use a Gmail account.Is there an easy and safe way to import/export my yahoo contacts into my blackberry?

Jun 11, 2012Blackberry bold 9900. Using the desktop software. Just did some updates. Now synching my address book to Yahoo Contacts is no longer an option. The only option is Windows Contacts. Only option for Tasks is iCalendar.

Feb 10, 2012I own a Bold 9930.I've noticed that my device doesn't completely sync with Yahoo email.If I read an email on my device, it is marked as read on Yahoo.However, if I read the email on Yahoo, it doesn't sync with the device - the device copy of the email is never marked as read.I used to have full 2-way sync.I contacted Yahoo, and was advised by Yahoo support that 2-way email sync between my device and Yahoo is not possible.

Jun 3, 2010Strange situation, i have 2 different blackberry (8310 for work is BES & BIS) and 9650 personal blackberry. i want both to receive my @yahoo.com emails - which they both can thru BIS - HOWEVER, the 8310 all of a sudden is no longer (wirelessly) reconciling the emails - so if i open/delete etc on the 8310 they remain "untouched" on my outlook, webmail, 9650, etc spoke to blackberry support and they said although i can receive on more than one device - only 1 device will handle/deal with the reconciling so my 8310 is full of what appears to be unopened emails.Is this info accurate ?

Mar 28, 2012I received an iphone 4 from my company about a week ago. I inputted my Exchange account and my Yahoo! account and added the Yahoo! carddav file and everything worked perfectly... for a week. Yesterday, one by one, my contacts were dissappearing. My son's name was gone, just his phone number in my favorites; several of my contacts disappeared.
I deleted my Yahoo accounts from my phone, readded them, and nothing! I've even delted my Exchange account to see if that was an issue and only had the Yahoo account active, and still nothing. Do I need to move all my Yahoo! contacts to gmail? Is there a solution or reason why Yahoo! is not syncing?
I read that if you sync your phone with Itunes, you can collect your yahoo contacts, but here is my question. Does syncing Itunes and Yahoo via usb stop the data from wirelessly syncing also?
My goal is to not to have to plug my iphone into my computer to sync my contacts.

I have wireless interent connection and I've checked everything - it's hooked up and I've tried to close out programs, restart etc. I have the latest iTunes version on my computer.

Jan 24, 2011i recently switched phone providers from ais in thailand to t-mobile in the netherlands. shortly after, i decided to activate my ymail account on my bb and, of course, synced my contacts. before i get to the problem. i had one issue earlier already, regarding address book contacts that were sent via bbm. i couldn't erase them, ever. i did tried removing the battery as suggested in other threads but it didn't work.anyways, what happened shortly after the ymail sync is that all my contacts disappeared, while the contact that was not erasable multiplied. i have it about 10 times now. in addition, this error message turns up on startup:
uncaught exception java.lang.NullPointerException
i looked around in other feeds but couldn't find a solution. i checked the address book filters (they are all off). when i chose address book >> options >> ...@ymail.com it appeared that all my contacts still exist on the yahoo server. i just can't access them for some reason. i downloaded them from yahoo for now. i'm sure there is a way to import them but i started worrying that my device software might be corrupt.so, before i start looking for a solution to reimport the contacts, i would like to know whether anyone ever experienced the multiplied contact error i have. because having 12 identical contacts that i cannot erase in my address book is kind of annoying and i would wipe the device before reimporting the contacts if there is now way to delete them.

I can view the selection when I click on a contact (at the top above the contact name), but I am unable to change it. Is there a way to change which email the contact sync's to?

May 19, 2010I am using Bold 9700 on BIS. Yahoo email does not synchronize the messages when read or deleted from the desktop online account. But it works the other way around. (when I delelte or read a message from the web email it stays unread on the device and I have to go and delete it or mark it as read manually). I have to do everything twice, specially that I am reveiving like 50+ emails every day in yahoo account only.
the email reconcilation configurations are
Delete on: Mailbox & Handheld
Wireless reconcile: On
On conflict: Mailbox wins
I called RIM and they said it should work 2-way, yahoo also it should work. I called Rogers, the tech support told me her device does like that. and all what she did was telling me change the configuration, save, change them back, and save again. and surely nothing of that worked.
I tried my yahoo mail, and other accounts, on iphone and HTC and they worked well both ways. I really am not sure why people claim that blackberry are the best email handler! a lot of people suffer from sync problems, and there is no IMAP folders support on BIS!

Aug 11, 2011I have just synced my new blackberry bold 9780 with my pc via the desktop software.The first time it synced no problem as all but I now have duplicate contacts for both email address's and now it wont sync at all. Comes up with an error saying yahoo server is temporary unavailable.This happened with my old blackberry too and I never did manage to get it solved as Vodafone was saying its Yahoo problem and yahoo was saying it was a vodafone problem.

1) Every time I get an email or SMS my screen goes black and I can't see what it is until I press the trackpad. I have no idea how to change it to where my screen does not go black.

BB Bold 9700 :: Cannot Sync Yahoo Calendar
Jan 13, 2010I have a new BB 9700. I have managed to get both of my e-mail addresses on it without any problem, I have also managed to sync it with my BT Yahoo contacts list but for the life of me I cannot get it to sync with my online BT Yahoo calendar which has 10 years worth of past and future entries on it. I am using BB Manager 5.01.28. BT won't offer any support because they say it is a Yahoo issue. There doesn't appear to be any Yahoo support and my provider Vodafone has been completly useless and has promised that one of its "advanced technical team" will phone me back on two occasion but never do. Can anyone help please. i'm beginning to wish I had stuck with my old Nokia 6310.

After experiencing some problems I decided to start from cero and deleted all contacts of my yahoo address book. I then synchronized with the Blackberry desktop manager (arrow pointing out in both directions) and loaded all data from the device (address book) to yahoo.
When I do changes using my PC directly in yahoo and then sync with device all works apparently OK, e.g. if I modify a name adding a surname that will be synchronized correctly in the device, however the changes I do in an existing record in my device with the sync won't be done in yahoo.
What shall I do to have all changes done to my device's adress book in the yahoo account.

Jan 13, 2010I am trying to sync my Yahoo calendar with my Blackberry Bold 9700 via the Blackberry Desktop Manager (version 5.0.1) and am getting the error message "Connection to Yahoo server was lost" when the calendar sync is occurring. The only option on the screen is to press "OK". Once "OK" is pressed, the Blackberry Desktop Manager returns to the synchronization screen. The address book syncs successfully, but the calendar does not. I have tried syncing one way and both ways without success.
A few notes about the environment: I am using the newer version of Yahoo Calendar which I have seen recommended on other postings. I am using standard Yahoo not the small biz version. I have seen this recommended, too.I am connecting my Blackberry Bold 9700 to my laptop via the USB cable that is supplied by Blackberry.

The process starts, but it never passes the address book part (it freezes and eventually crashes). I contacted Yahoo and they referred me to their Yahoo Intellisync. Which they don't support. I would switch to Google, but I recently changed my e-mail account; doing so one more time would be bad for business.

Jul 1, 2011I am a website owner hosted by Yahoo! Smallbusiness service. I set up an email account with my own domain name, configured it with BIS plan (uses BlackBerry Bold 9000). The issue I encounter is to receive emails with Yahoo!Smallbusiness within 15 minutes. I have made a contact with Yahoo for many times. They insistly mention this is being caused by BIS or / and GSM carrier. Good. That's a fact. However, I configured a Gmail account, so it seems that I don't get down with my Gmail account.Is there anybody out there to give me a hand on what's going on with my email delaying because I'm exactly tired of wrestling out with the problem. You may ask "Is it a problem for you having emails in 15 minutes?"... Yes, It is... I am sure that many people have a website owner and they're aware how important it's to reply their emails fast.
