I received an iphone 4 from my company about a week ago. I inputted my Exchange account and my Yahoo! account and added the Yahoo! carddav file and everything worked perfectly... for a week. Yesterday, one by one, my contacts were dissappearing. My son's name was gone, just his phone number in my favorites; several of my contacts disappeared.
I deleted my Yahoo accounts from my phone, readded them, and nothing! I've even delted my Exchange account to see if that was an issue and only had the Yahoo account active, and still nothing. Do I need to move all my Yahoo! contacts to gmail? Is there a solution or reason why Yahoo! is not syncing?
I read that if you sync your phone with Itunes, you can collect your yahoo contacts, but here is my question. Does syncing Itunes and Yahoo via usb stop the data from wirelessly syncing also?
My goal is to not to have to plug my iphone into my computer to sync my contacts.

When I sync my iPhone 4 with my computer, it says it can't sync with my Yahoo account (as it has been for the past year) because I don't have an internet connection. I have wireless interent connection and I've checked everything - it's hooked up and I've tried to close out programs, restart etc. I have the latest iTunes version on my computer.

Activated my phone and I have several contacts on it but I am considering syncing my yahoo address book to my bold address book. I downloaded Google sync and it said that it synced calendar and contacts but I think the contacts went from the bold to Google since I don't actually use a Gmail account. Is there an easy and safe way to import/export my yahoo contacts into my blackberry?

View 1 Replies View RelatedIs it possible to sync my BB 9550 to my yahoo contacts?
View 1 Replies View Relatedi recently switched phone providers from ais in thailand to t-mobile in the netherlands. shortly after, i decided to activate my ymail account on my bb and, of course, synced my contacts. before i get to the problem. i had one issue earlier already, regarding address book contacts that were sent via bbm. i couldn't erase them, ever. i did tried removing the battery as suggested in other threads but it didn't work.anyways, what happened shortly after the ymail sync is that all my contacts disappeared, while the contact that was not erasable multiplied. i have it about 10 times now. in addition, this error message turns up on startup:
uncaught exception java.lang.NullPointerException
i looked around in other feeds but couldn't find a solution. i checked the address book filters (they are all off). when i chose address book >> options >> ...@ymail.com it appeared that all my contacts still exist on the yahoo server. i just can't access them for some reason. i downloaded them from yahoo for now. i'm sure there is a way to import them but i started worrying that my device software might be corrupt.so, before i start looking for a solution to reimport the contacts, i would like to know whether anyone ever experienced the multiplied contact error i have. because having 12 identical contacts that i cannot erase in my address book is kind of annoying and i would wipe the device before reimporting the contacts if there is now way to delete them.
I have MOST of my contacts synced with an email address that no longer exits...is there anyway to change which e-mail address they are synced to?

So I am having to do the job twice. Will do it if I read from MacBook and delete but not the other way round.

Having trouble AGAIN synching yahoo calendar and mail with my iPhone 4. Anybody else experiencing this?

I have an iPhone 4S. It is on the current IOS 5.1 (9B179). Everything has been working fine, but earlier this week, I lost all of the contacts associated with my Yahoo account. I have tried the following:
- recycled the iPhone (full power down)
- turned off/on the contracts for the Yahoo account
- dropped the Yahoo account completely and readded
- confirmed that the contacts are still on the Yahoo account (via browser)
- confirmed that the contacts are visible on another device (iPad 1 with latest IOS version)
- waiting >24 hours with the Yahoo account re-added to determine if it would resolve itself
In all cases, the net result is the same. The iPhone can connect to the Yahoo account fine (email and calendar are no issues), but when selecting all contacts or even the Yahoo specific contacts, the iPhone is blank, but the account has >100 contacts.
All of a sudden my contacts are all screwed up. Somehow my yahoo contacts have been added to my phone. I have duplicates of stuff in my phone that shoudn't be there and stuff I never entered in contacts.

Picking the lesser of two evils, I currently switched over from gCal to Yahoo Calendar. However, I have no clue how to get syncing between Yahoo <-> Mac <-> BB. I'm able to have iCal view & edit my Yahoo Calendar via CalDAV however, neither BB Desktop nor Missing Sync can read said calendars. Is there an OTA sync app for the BB? Else, is there an easy way to have a Yahoo Calendar sync with a local iCal calendar (as BB Desktop / Missing Sync can view those without issue)?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a new curve (8530) and my carrier is Verizon. My curve was syncing with my Yahoo calendar in December without any issues. Since January it no longer syncs. My memo pad syncs, but not the calendar. I do not have Outlook on my computer, so Yahoo is my only choice of calendar. I spoke to Verizon tech support for 2 hours and we tried everything. I uninstalled and reinstalled Desktop manager, but that didn't help either.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI downloaded the new Yahoo calendar. Ever since then my Torch will not sync with the my calendar. My contacts still sync fine, but I will get an error message that says "connection to Yahoo server was lost" when I try to sync the calendar. Today I updated both my Blackberry Desktop Software (6.0.2.42) and my Torch software (6.0 bundle 2342), but that didn't help.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have been able to sync my calendar entries between my BB 9800 Torch and my Yahoo calendar until recently. Both BB and Yahoo have been upgraded and now the sync no longer works. The BB Desktop Manager syncs my Contact List perfectly with Windows Contact list, then reads my BB Torch calendar, then stops syncing with the message " CONNECTION TO YAHOO SERVER WAS LOST". I have checked all my settings and reviewed other forum threads but cannot determine what is causing this problem.

I have a new BB 9700. I have managed to get both of my e-mail addresses on it without any problem, I have also managed to sync it with my BT Yahoo contacts list but for the life of me I cannot get it to sync with my online BT Yahoo calendar which has 10 years worth of past and future entries on it. I am using BB Manager 5.01.28. BT won't offer any support because they say it is a Yahoo issue. There doesn't appear to be any Yahoo support and my provider Vodafone has been completly useless and has promised that one of its "advanced technical team" will phone me back on two occasion but never do. Can anyone help please. i'm beginning to wish I had stuck with my old Nokia 6310.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have Yahoo and GMail on my BB. With GMail I can use Google Sync to sync contacts, calendar etc automatically. Also with Google Sync, any replies you do on your BB are automatically updated in you Gmail. Now, the question is, is there something like that for Yahoo? I have searched and don't seem to have had any luck. The closest I can come to is actually looking at my Yahoo account on the browser, but that's not what I want.

On my computer, I am currently using Thunderbird and hope that I will be able to syn my calendar here as well.
My curve 8330 used to sync just fine. Then Yahoo moved me to their new calendar, now it will not sync.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI just updated my DM to version 6.0 bundle 2949 and find that it doesn't offer me Yahoo anymore to sync in my organizer. All I'm offered is Windows Contacts, or icalendar for calendar and tasks.
The last update I installed lost the calendar sync option, but I have lived with that. But this is way more important to me. I saw forum advice to the effect that version 6.1 supports Yahoo.
I am using Bold 9700 on BIS. Yahoo email does not synchronize the messages when read or deleted from the desktop online account. But it works the other way around. (when I delelte or read a message from the web email it stays unread on the device and I have to go and delete it or mark it as read manually). I have to do everything twice, specially that I am reveiving like 50+ emails every day in yahoo account only.
the email reconcilation configurations are
Delete on: Mailbox & Handheld
Wireless reconcile: On
On conflict: Mailbox wins
I called RIM and they said it should work 2-way, yahoo also it should work. I called Rogers, the tech support told me her device does like that. and all what she did was telling me change the configuration, save, change them back, and save again. and surely nothing of that worked.
I tried my yahoo mail, and other accounts, on iphone and HTC and they worked well both ways. I really am not sure why people claim that blackberry are the best email handler! a lot of people suffer from sync problems, and there is no IMAP folders support on BIS!
I wanted to update my software to the latest version so before i did that i made sure i synced/backed up my phone. Then i restored my phone from back up only to find that my contacts have all dissapeared. Why?
All my apps, calender, notes, photos etc have appeared except for my contacts.

I have an IPhone that syncs to my Outlook 2010 via Exchange. The email and calendar syncs automatically. I would like to sync my contacts but currently have that setting turned to "off" because I want to add my Outlook contacts but not lose my contacts on my phone. If I sync the contacts will it just add the new ones and not overwrite the existing contacts on my phone?
