BB Curve :: 8330 Cannot Sync Calendar On Desktop?
Apr 2, 2012When I plug my Blackberry Curve 8330 into my desktop to charge and sync it, everything freezes and the message says "Getting status information from Outlook Calendar." And it doesn't allow me to cancel. it says it is cancelling but it never does. I have to turn the desktop off to get Blackberry to cancel. How can I fix this?

Jan 19, 2010I have a new curve (8530) and my carrier is Verizon. My curve was syncing with my Yahoo calendar in December without any issues. Since January it no longer syncs. My memo pad syncs, but not the calendar. I do not have Outlook on my computer, so Yahoo is my only choice of calendar. I spoke to Verizon tech support for 2 hours and we tried everything. I uninstalled and reinstalled Desktop manager, but that didn't help either.

Jun 22, 2012I am using the Blackberry Curve 9300 and I am also currently using the Yahoo Calendar and Google Calendar for separate uses. I find that I am not able to sync my Blackberry Curve 9300 to either of these Calendar.
On my computer, I am currently using Thunderbird and hope that I will be able to syn my calendar here as well.

Apr 12, 2011I have tried every way I know how but I cannot sync My bb8330 With the 2011 Yahoo! upgraded calendar.I saw in the previous community forums that that seemed to be a problem with the Yahoo Calendar in 2009.. This calendar I am using was just upgraded recently and you cannot go back to the previous one where you can sync.I have tried all of the Yahoo help pages to no avail!

May 25, 2010Picking the lesser of two evils, I currently switched over from gCal to Yahoo Calendar. However, I have no clue how to get syncing between Yahoo <-> Mac <-> BB. I'm able to have iCal view & edit my Yahoo Calendar via CalDAV however, neither BB Desktop nor Missing Sync can read said calendars. Is there an OTA sync app for the BB? Else, is there an easy way to have a Yahoo Calendar sync with a local iCal calendar (as BB Desktop / Missing Sync can view those without issue)?

Jun 6, 2011I have been able to sync my calendar entries between my BB 9800 Torch and my Yahoo calendar until recently. Both BB and Yahoo have been upgraded and now the sync no longer works. The BB Desktop Manager syncs my Contact List perfectly with Windows Contact list, then reads my BB Torch calendar, then stops syncing with the message " CONNECTION TO YAHOO SERVER WAS LOST". I have checked all my settings and reviewed other forum threads but cannot determine what is causing this problem.

I have managed to get both of my e-mail addresses on it without any problem, I have also managed to sync it with my BT Yahoo contacts list but for the life of me I cannot get it to sync with my online BT Yahoo calendar which has 10 years worth of past and future entries on it. I am using BB Manager 5.01.28. BT won't offer any support because they say it is a Yahoo issue. There doesn't appear to be any Yahoo support and my provider Vodafone has been completly useless and has promised that one of its "advanced technical team" will phone me back on two occasion but never do. Can anyone help please. i'm beginning to wish I had stuck with my old Nokia 6310.

BB Bold 9700 :: Sync Yahoo Calendar With Via Blackberry Desktop Manager
Jan 13, 2010I am trying to sync my Yahoo calendar with my Blackberry Bold 9700 via the Blackberry Desktop Manager (version 5.0.1) and am getting the error message "Connection to Yahoo server was lost" when the calendar sync is occurring. The only option on the screen is to press "OK". Once "OK" is pressed, the Blackberry Desktop Manager returns to the synchronization screen. The address book syncs successfully, but the calendar does not. I have tried syncing one way and both ways without success.
A few notes about the environment: I am using the newer version of Yahoo Calendar which I have seen recommended on other postings. I am using standard Yahoo not the small biz version. I have seen this recommended, too.I am connecting my Blackberry Bold 9700 to my laptop via the USB cable that is supplied by Blackberry.

The process starts, but it never passes the address book part (it freezes and eventually crashes). I contacted Yahoo and they referred me to their Yahoo Intellisync. Which they don't support. I would switch to Google, but I recently changed my e-mail account; doing so one more time would be bad for business.

Also with Google Sync, any replies you do on your BB are automatically updated in you Gmail.Now, the question is, is there something like that for Yahoo? Feb 21, 2010My data port on my 3 month old 8330 died and Sprint gave me a new one today. The contacts were transferred at the store - but after I restored from my DM backup done one week ago - none of my other settings were restored. What did I do wrong or what have I missed? Sprint rep told me the backup restore would get my new 8330 back to being just like the old one - but it's not.I want to get my email settings, apps, ring tones, wallpapers etc, back. I don't want to have to create everything over again when I have a good backup.

Mar 12, 2010I have two Blackberry 8330's here. One is a 8330 and the other is a 8330m. The 8330m receives MMS pictures embedded and the 8330 receives an SMS with a link to look at the picture online.I know this isn't new but I haven't been able to find any solution to this if there even is one.
One thing I found is that somewhere it was said that the two phones receive different types of Service books depending on the model.Now, maybe this is a stupid question but I am asking it anyways .Can I somehow copy the MMS service book from the 8330m and put in on my older 8330 ? If it's possible, will this fix the MMS as an SMS link problem ?

May 8, 2011I am using Curve 9300.
Yahoo Messenger has been installed and use for long time in my 9300. Somehow, in past 2 weeks, I could not login to Yahoo, Yahoo Mail or Yahoo Messenger.
Everytime lgoin to yahoo web, mail or messenger always giving me Username and password is invalid. But for Pop-up mail with Yahoo still working and fine
Several trial has been done in the device, like:
- Re-install Yahoo Messenger
- Uncheck item"Remeber my ID..."
- Trial with several account
With PC Login:
- Through yahoo website account and delete all web related connection
- Login with PC desktop with all the account not any issue and can login perfectly
Of course, regular ceremony by reset, remove battery has been doing as well

It syncs the address book, tasks and memos fine, but totally skips over the calendar. Sep 30, 2011I recently added my personal email to my blackberry. It is a @gmail.com address. My calendar also synced with the Google calendar, which I did not want it to do. I normally sync my calendar with Outlook on my desktop. I went to sync with Outlook today and none of my calendar entries are syncing. If on look on my device all of the entries are marked as being xxx@gmail.com entries. How can I change all of these entries back to sync with Outlook instead?

Sep 19, 2012New laptop, outlook 2007, my old laptop used to sync fine woth my blackberry but it now does not give me the option to sync the calendar, just the contacts, task and memos. I need to get the diary entries off my phone into outlook after being without the desktop for a while. I'm at the end of my teather after recent problems accessing the net with my blackberry and being unable to change from the vodaphone live settings.
