View 1 RepliesI have a bb 8330 and I noticed that it takes forever to send pictures, and I mean forever. Probably about 2 minutes. Dont let me send more than one mms or email with pics at a time because it may take about 10 minutes for them all to send. This has never happened with my old palm centro, where sending a pic was instant. Just curious if something is wrong with my device, or is this normal.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI updated my phone and all info in my calender got lost. No personal information should be lost in this update wad written in info box. So irritating.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm new to the BB and purchased an 8330 on ebay. Everythings seems to be fine, except, not all of the pervious owner info was deleted before I got it.. I was able to go into the user info by deleting and adding my own and that worked fine. I was able to activate the phone ok.However, when I set up the email account info for my web mail account, it created an additional account and didn't replace the old owners Gmail account.
I receive my emial fine but when I reply from the phone it goes our through the Gmail and not my webmail account. Both Icons are on the screen and I have set "Hide" and "Show All". If I uncheck "Show All" the Icon disappears. If I recheck the "Show All" it is back so it must still be active in background. (I do this uncheck by opening the Browser Icon.) The old name is still there on that Gmail account.
How do I get rid of this old user info, so it won't haunt me anymore?
I have recently updated my device software. I did not backup anything because I did not have any warning from maker to do so. I lost extremely important text messages, phone numbers, my calendar information. Is there any chance on this world to retrieve now all of them?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have one calendar that was installed on the Blackberry when purchased. I uploaded an update of the Facebook App, now all of my entries are gone in the calendar that were in sync with my gmail address. I have the 8350 model and prior to this all calendar entries were saved to my email for gmail- this gmail option has disappeared in the CICAL drop down the only option available is Facebook. I tried to uninstall the Facebook App however that leaves no option for Default Service for the calendar, so the option for default service for my calendar is completely removed. How can I go back to the original settings for my calendar and is it possible to retrieve prior/future entries from the now blank calendar?
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy curve 8330 used to sync just fine. Then Yahoo moved me to their new calendar, now it will not sync.

And it doesn't allow me to cancel. it says it is cancelling but it never does. I have to turn the desktop off to get Blackberry to cancel. How can I fix this?

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy calendar entries disappear after 90 days even though I have it set to keep "forever". Recurring appointments, birthdays, tasks, all stay forever but not appointments. I do not do any calendar syncing to either gmail or outlook. I rely on my BB for tracking and saving my appointments and recently realized (when I really needed it) that my appointments were not there. Memory is fine and I'm running OS6.What do I set to make the appointments stay forever?
View 1 Replies View RelatedNumerous problems with the way the calendar app saves old appointments. I've got a BB Torch 9800 running version 6.0 bundle 695 interfaced with a Mac. When I try to set the options for the calendar to keep appointments forever, it keeps reverting back to saving them for 60 days deleting the older appointments. It is not saving my options correctly. I've tried a battery reset, but no change. Does anyone have some insight into this?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have had my BB for one year now and never before has this happened. It has happened twice in one week now and I am getting very frustrated. I run my business from my phone and this is more than just irritating, it is effecting my bottom line. Can someone tell me what I can do to prevent this from happening again?
View 4 Replies View RelatedMy data port on my 3 month old 8330 died and Sprint gave me a new one today. The contacts were transferred at the store - but after I restored from my DM backup done one week ago - none of my other settings were restored. What did I do wrong or what have I missed? Sprint rep told me the backup restore would get my new 8330 back to being just like the old one - but it's not.I want to get my email settings, apps, ring tones, wallpapers etc, back. I don't want to have to create everything over again when I have a good backup.

I'm using bold 9700, I have about 6000 entries of calendar on my device as well as outlook. My device sync both ways. All of a sudden I find no past entries left out on my device nor on my outlook calendar. The future entries are retained.
View 1 Replies View Relatedmy calendar in Outlook that wiped all entries. Today I have tried to sync my curve to put the curve calendar back on Outlook and it said there were just a few changes to make between the two making me think that the entries are still in Outlook somewhere but not showing. I then tried a oneway sync and although it appears to do it, nothing is showing in Outlook.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have two Blackberry 8330's here. One is a 8330 and the other is a 8330m. The 8330m receives MMS pictures embedded and the 8330 receives an SMS with a link to look at the picture online.I know this isn't new but I haven't been able to find any solution to this if there even is one.
One thing I found is that somewhere it was said that the two phones receive different types of Service books depending on the model. Now, maybe this is a stupid question but I am asking it anyways .Can I somehow copy the MMS service book from the 8330m and put in on my older 8330 ? If it's possible, will this fix the MMS as an SMS link problem ?
After removing and reinstalling my original battery and sim card on my curve 8310, I lost everything including my contacts and calendar. I am devestated and wonder what happened. When the battery was reinstalled and the phone auto restarted, I lost my desktop and knew immediately something bad had happened. It restarted with the original factory settings. I never made any setting changes. The reset happened automatically.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI wanted to share my Home iCloud calendar on my iPhone with my wife so we could both add our respective events and see when the other person is busy. So far, all well. I logged on to the iCloud web site and shared my calendar with my wife.
She then accepted the shared calendar, but then her own Home calendar was replaced with mine, and she can no longer find hers anywhere. It's not on iCloud when she logs on to the web site, and there is no trace of it on her iPhone. And is there a chance we can get her calendar back? There were a lot of events on her calendar.

If I lose all my contact info and it was not backed up to a pc is there any way of retrieving them?
View 4 Replies View RelatedWhen I upgraded my wife's iPhone 3G to 5.1, I lost all her contact information and she ended up with mine.
During the upgrade process, I thought it backed up her data. But it doesn't seem to be available to restore. Isn't that a normal part of the upgrade process and shouldn't it be available somewhere?
Unfortunately, she did not sync this data with any application.

I have an Iphone 3G, and this weekend, when I connected to Itunes, it upgraded to the 4.0 software and *SAID* it was backing up all of my information (contacts, calendars, etc). The software upgraded and it all works fine but *ALL* of my information is GONE! nothing is on the SIM card, because I tried putting it into another phone. I back up my entire computer to my Time Machine regularly. I spent 1 hour on the phone with a "Genius" while I wasn't at home who repeatedly nagged me to back up my phone. Tonight I spent 45 mins, most of the time, the "genius" didn't know where my contact data even saves. In the end, tried copying last back up before the upgrade to 4.0 software and restore my Iphone to that backup, but it was a no-go.

I understand that this needs to be done via iTunes but am worried that if i sync it this way it will wipe all of my details on my phone and replace it with y (empty) ical info from the MacBook?
I have already backed up the phone using itunes - backup - but when i click 'sync calendar' in the itunes prefs it only displays the calendars on the mac (Work and Home) and not the phone (Calendar)

Redirect me to a post that may already be up or useful. First off, I apologize if I am posting a deja vu post. Secondly, I'd like to know if anyone has a fix for my 9700, I have owned this phone for 2 months, one week in to using my bold, I lost all of my info, everything was gone. It went back to the original background pic and everything. It didn't really phase me because I had only had it for a week and had only put in a few contacts. This morning I woke up to my BB plugged into my Macbook, which is the usual site, but when I unplugged the bold 9700 from my macbook everything was gone again, I took it to the bell store and they said there was nothing they could do, and that "that shouldn't happen, did you back up your phone?" I of course haven't had the time to back up my phone and I know it would save me right now but this still should never happen, I was only charging my phone and now everything on my phone is gone. I play JR hockey and all of my hockey connections, emails and texts are in that phone, I literally have 200+ contacts that I need and can't ever get back.
