I have had my BB for one year now and never before has this happened. It has happened twice in one week now and I am getting very frustrated. I run my business from my phone and this is more than just irritating, it is effecting my bottom line. Can someone tell me what I can do to prevent this from happening again?

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have two calendars on my bb torch, from email and facebook. Today, out of the blue, 3 birthdays popped up on my home screen, as if it was today, but the dates are months away... and 2 of them are from the same person (but both came from facebook...). I clicked on them to see and hoping they would clear from my screen (just as messages do when you click to read them, when you close it, the notification of the message dissapears...) but they didn't... i tryed deleting one of the birthdays from my calender but it still showed the notification on my screen (it disappeared after about 20 min)! And the options of the event are all correct with the right dates, and the notification of the events are set up for the day before each birthday.... but it stil shows as if it was an event for today...I then tryed entering a task for next week... it also showed on my screen! Does every event you enter shows on the screen no matter what date? how do i get them to only show on the day they are set up to notify me? The alternative would be not to use the calendar at all... how do i alter the option of having the calendar sincronize with facebook? Or to have it not notify me about anything.... because i tryed selecting the email calendar only but the selection is only for visualization purpuses, it doesnt stop facebook sincronization.. and it doesnt give me an option of saving a task on the blackberry only.. i have to select the email or facebook for the reminder... cant i just use the regular calendar?

I'm using bold 9700, I have about 6000 entries of calendar on my device as well as outlook. My device sync both ways. All of a sudden I find no past entries left out on my device nor on my outlook calendar. The future entries are retained.

I uploaded an update of the Facebook App, now all of my entries are gone in the calendar that were in sync with my gmail address. I have the 8350 model and prior to this all calendar entries were saved to my email for gmail- this gmail option has disappeared in the CICAL drop down the only option available is Facebook. I tried to uninstall the Facebook App however that leaves no option for Default Service for the calendar, so the option for default service for my calendar is completely removed.How can I go back to the original settings for my calendar and is it possible to retrieve prior/future entries from the now blank calendar?

I enter it in, it comes back "Incorrect". This went on for 4/5 attempts. I tried the last attempt, and my phone completely wiped itself!
I was entering the right password because I could see what I was typing, it showed my the password I was typing. So I knew very well that it was the right password. Not a problem though right? I could jsut restore it. I open blackberry protect and ALL MY BACK UPS are gone. Unbelievable! I was forced to restore my old contact list from my previous blackberry.

When I first received the Torch 9860, it was continuously restarting. Reading the forums, I have performed a wipe and reinstallation of the Blackberry software for torch 9860 using the current version and the latest version by AT&T. In all cases, I receive an error 102 when the device is initializing. Then, it starts rebooting over and over.
I have installed the following...
Desktop Manager: 610_b038_multilanguage.exe
Blackberry OS: 9860M_PBr7.0.0_rel2216_PL5.0.0.680_A7.0.0.440_AT_T.exe
I have tried in different PC's and I have used BBSAK to wipe the phone before reinstalling the OS, and no luck.
When I plugged my phone into the computer to charge, an update came up on bb desktop manager - to update to the 6.0 Bundle 2467 - and I began the update. After a few minutes I realized that I should back up my phone before updating but bb desktop wouldn't let me - it said that IT needed to update. So the device software update paused until the desktop update was complete. When it was finished, the device update continued...and I didn't backup.
Somewhere in the middle of the update (after about a half hour) the phone blinked, there was a funny "beep" and a message came up that the update could not continue. The phone had rebooted but was stuck at about 65%. I let it sit for a few minutes, still not moving. Pulled the battery, let it sit for a few minutes like that and re-inserted. Started to reboot, then stalled again at the same spot. Pulled the battery after another few minutes and waited about 15 minutes.
When I put the battery back in, the phone quickly booted up completely...but because the updater stalled mid-update Everything is lost! Contacts, Calendar, Memos. Is there any way at all to recover anything?? Or is all my data lost somewhere in cyberspace? There is a small file, about 5MB called Blackberry Contacts so I thought I could sync the files from there, but I don't know how!
My BB Torch 9810 stopped working. Worked with carrier no luck was sent a new phone. I was told that I could go through BB website to have all data wiped from the device. Can anyone confirm that this will indeed wipe all date from the phone even though it will not turn on, has no battery, SIM card or media card in it?
