I have an icon in the area that alerts you to when you have a text msg, email, etc.. It looks like a WiFi symbol, yellow in color, with the #1 at its left. I cannot clear it and nowhere in BB's literature can I find what this icon means..

View 5 Replies View RelatedI don't believe this will be possible but I figured I'd ask. At one time someone found a way to create a truly black icon by using a web site link. You would simply point your browser to this site and save the link to your desktop. You could do this as often as you wished, creating as many "blank" icons as you wished. This allowed you to "arrange" icons on each page in what ever configuration you wanted.
Now that you can set a background image having a "clear" link icon would be useful but I just don't see how it's possible.And no, I don't want to jailbreak to get this feature. I can deal with it if it's not possible.
I have a BB Bold, I have a message icon that will not clear. I've gone through all my emails and haven't been able to clear it, also took the battery out for a little while without any change in the status of the message.

I now have permanent bluetooth notification icon in notification bar say "null" wants to transfer file no bytes. Accept or decline. Selecting either does nothing. I assume the HTC no longer knows where "null" device is. Is there anyway to clear this notification without a factory reset.

Until recently, when I read the message(s) the icon would clear. Now it doesnt clear, even if I delete the message after reading. My little icon current has "54" next to it and is growing daily... View 1 Replies View RelatedEvery time I go to Google News and click on a news item and then press the Back button, I am taken to a Google news page cached a week ago. If I refresh the page, I get the latest news page, but browsing to a news item and then attempting to return to the home page takes me back to the old cached page. The only way to clear cache is to delete the History in the browser settings and I have done this several times but to no avail. I am unable to understand why the old news page keeps coming up.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI own a Torch 9800 and since yesterday, the missed call log won't clear. so everytime I need it to clear, I need to pull out the battery, put it back i, however, as soon as I get another missed call, the same happens, i.e. I have to pull out every time I get a missed call for it to clear.

When I try to clear the browser history the program crashes. I have tried a couple of apps from the Market but neither of them have worked.
I have tried, unsuccessfully, to locate the history cache in the filing system.
P.S. I can delete history links one at a time. Is it just that I have allowed the cache to get too large before trying to delete it - I'm not sure I have ever cleared it before!
I don't feel like clicking each one. Is there an easier way?

I like the system but everytime i pick my boss from the list when i type in his name, i get 2 other addresses that are NOT his email, but i had 3 months ago recieved an email from a website that sends news articles and it put his name in the sender but their address

Today, out of the blue, 3 birthdays popped up on my home screen, as if it was today, but the dates are months away... and 2 of them are from the same person (but both came from facebook...). I clicked on them to see and hoping they would clear from my screen (just as messages do when you click to read them, when you close it, the notification of the message dissapears...) but they didn't... i tryed deleting one of the birthdays from my calender but it still showed the notification on my screen (it disappeared after about 20 min)! And the options of the event are all correct with the right dates, and the notification of the events are set up for the day before each birthday.... but it stil shows as if it was an event for today...I then tryed entering a task for next week... it also showed on my screen! Does every event you enter shows on the screen no matter what date? how do i get them to only show on the day they are set up to notify me? The alternative would be not to use the calendar at all... how do i alter the option of having the calendar sincronize with facebook? Or to have it not notify me about anything.... because i tryed selecting the email calendar only but the selection is only for visualization purpuses, it doesnt stop facebook sincronization.. and it doesnt give me an option of saving a task on the blackberry only.. i have to select the email or facebook for the reminder... cant i just use the regular calendar?

View 4 Replies View RelatedIn the status bar in which icons such as new BBM message or calendar alert, I currently have a number 1 with a Wi-Fi icon next to it. I have searched the online manual and it shows me every icon but this one. Usually, when you tap on said status bar, a list of alert drops down. Any and all icons that have appeared show me why they are there, e.g.: new email from Buddy, new BBM from Marco. This particular icon shows nothing.
