BB Torch :: Error 102 Even After 9860 Wiped And Reinstalled
Jan 10, 2012
When I first received the Torch 9860, it was continuously restarting. Reading the forums, I have performed a wipe and reinstallation of the Blackberry software for torch 9860 using the current version and the latest version by AT&T. In all cases, I receive an error 102 when the device is initializing. Then, it starts rebooting over and over.
I have installed the following...
Desktop Manager: 610_b038_multilanguage.exe
Blackberry OS: 9860M_PBr7.0.0_rel2216_PL5.0.0.680_A7.0.0.440_AT_T.exe
I have tried in different PC's and I have used BBSAK to wipe the phone before reinstalling the OS, and no luck.
In the extended search I found the MAPS icon, but it gives me the message "unknown error"a) is it possible to solve that problemb) is it possible to publish the icon in the application group
I have a 9860 that froze on me & rebooted, once it got past the black blackberry loading screen, it goes white and says Error 205 Reload Software.. Its on a constant loop of rebooting and this screen. i tried following the instructions giving on [URL] however i cannot get my phone connected to the desktop manager.
I have a problem with my 9860's Memory card. I bought the phone on July 2012, and it work perfectly before. Until this couple of days it started to have problem. I just upgraded my Os to os 7.1 bundle 2061 (v7.1.0.714, platform 5.1.0.532) last week. And after that I felt the error started to appears. It happened to my wife's 9860 also. luckily I cold manage to restore the picture and file. And today the problem occur again. The picture in my media card are showing when I open the library, but when I open the file it got corrupted or it showed correctly and then disappear from the screen.
I'm sick and tired of have to pull by battery every time I want to go ahead and listen to some of my music on my Torch 9860. I am running with the v7.1.0.523 and this error message has been since I had this phone with V7.0 OS. So doesn't mater which version or how many times I upgrade my OS, it stills showing "An error has occurred attempting to play media"xxxxx".
Every time I'm on my musical mood I have to pull the battery off? That really means that I have to pull the battery like 2 or 3 times per day just because I wanted to play some music? I'm pretty sure iPhones doesn't need a reboot every time they have to play a media, and it's so annoying to have to do so. How to play my music without getting this effin message?
Ever since my bb crashed due to a jvm error, its acting strange.when i had the jvm error i downloaded and re-installed the os via bb desktop manager on my 9700. problems i have is that sometimes the phone just switchess off. if i want to unlock it the screen stays black for around 10 seconds then it turns on and i have to enter my pin (and then it searches for my mobile network) so its basically the same as when rebooting.also, sometimes when i unlock it the screen is totally white for 10 seconds. after those 10 seconds it sais: verification security software (or something like that, i use the dutch language on it).
I am using my nokia E72 for the last 18 months. 3 days before I reinstalled phone's FW 081.003. From that day onwards my phone is asking me lock code. And always showing lock code error. I already used the lock code option for restarting phone. I changed the default 12345 to 543215 and the feature is working smoothly until 3 days before. Now what happened is that phone is not allowing any of the codes. I try 543215, 12345, 0000 everything I knew. But in vein. I cannot use my phone anymore.
I have had a password on my phone for quite a while now. I plugged it into my laptop this morning to update it, and it asks for my password. I enter it in, it comes back "Incorrect". This went on for 4/5 attempts. I tried the last attempt, and my phone completely wiped itself!
I was entering the right password because I could see what I was typing, it showed my the password I was typing. So I knew very well that it was the right password. Not a problem though right? I could jsut restore it. I open blackberry protect and ALL MY BACK UPS are gone. Unbelievable! I was forced to restore my old contact list from my previous blackberry.
I have had my BB for one year now and never before has this happened. It has happened twice in one week now and I am getting very frustrated. I run my business from my phone and this is more than just irritating, it is effecting my bottom line. Can someone tell me what I can do to prevent this from happening again?
i bought a new torch 9860 with OS7. when i try to open any flash video from facebook, it doesn;t open and says my phone doesnot support this. on adobe site, there is no flash player available for blackberry os7.
after OS upgrade only 2 of my 3 calendar profiles have entries...the 3rd profile exists but there are no entries history or future...since I had backed up prior to system update tried to restore, still no entries....this is my most used profile too so I am lost without it!
When I plugged my phone into the computer to charge, an update came up on bb desktop manager - to update to the 6.0 Bundle 2467 - and I began the update. After a few minutes I realized that I should back up my phone before updating but bb desktop wouldn't let me - it said that IT needed to update. So the device software update paused until the desktop update was complete. When it was finished, the device update continued...and I didn't backup.
Somewhere in the middle of the update (after about a half hour) the phone blinked, there was a funny "beep" and a message came up that the update could not continue. The phone had rebooted but was stuck at about 65%. I let it sit for a few minutes, still not moving. Pulled the battery, let it sit for a few minutes like that and re-inserted. Started to reboot, then stalled again at the same spot. Pulled the battery after another few minutes and waited about 15 minutes.
When I put the battery back in, the phone quickly booted up completely...but because the updater stalled mid-update Everything is lost! Contacts, Calendar, Memos. Is there any way at all to recover anything?? Or is all my data lost somewhere in cyberspace? There is a small file, about 5MB called Blackberry Contacts so I thought I could sync the files from there, but I don't know how!
My BB Torch 9810 stopped working. Worked with carrier no luck was sent a new phone. I was told that I could go through BB website to have all data wiped from the device. Can anyone confirm that this will indeed wipe all date from the phone even though it will not turn on, has no battery, SIM card or media card in it?
Tonight I updated my software to v6.0.0.526 and when I started back up my wallpaper was back at default and my media was wiped. I can't find my pictures and I also can't identify them in my device backup.
i have only had this phone four days and it has all of a suddend started switching itself of then reboting itself then flash and vibrate of 2mins then turning it self off again, it has done this constantly for 2 hours now.
Just purchased my new blackberry torch last June and I have been sending it to service center for 5 times already. I am so lost on how to fix the problem. My problem is my phone shows full signal strength and I can't receive not make calls nor messages. I tried to call the service provider for any network problems and they said no problems at all. It happens at ant time of the day. Service center says there no problem on the phone. I just notice that whenever I put the rubber casing on my phone problem occurs. Is there any connection? Im using the rubber casing for easy grip.Signal: -77dbmOS: 7.1.0
Since this morning my Blackberry's speaker hasn't been working, I get no message alerts, no alarm, no music, the camera shutter isn't even going off. However everything is fine when I put headphones in and I can also make phonecalls without speakerphone.
i got my bb torch 9860. it was using wi-fi connection. but when i update software it is not using wi-fi at all, when i go to wi-fi dignostic it shows local ip address as missing mean does not shows local ip address.
I have set up a BB Id using using my laptop and have received a mail from BB validating the same. I have also tried login in from my laptop and it works. However, when I try to log in using my BB Id and password from my phone it is giving an error message 'The user name and password provided do not correspond to a valid blackberry ID'.
Torch 9860 one week old. Battery went dead so I hooked up charger. Now phone will not boot up. I get a red LED light on for 10 seconds and off for 8 seconds, repeats. Tried removing battery. Tried booting in safe mode (holding escape key), nothing works.
I'm currently use Blackberry Torch 9860. Why I can't login my Blackberry ID? I've tried so many time and I already reset my password . Still can't login.
I purchased BB Torch 9860 before two days and I already have plan for the data package (200 mb). I connected it to my WiFi at home and it shows that it's connected. Now when I'm at home and I want to surf the internet, it's using the carrier data package, but I want it to use the WiFi. I searched all over and I can't find any solution. any help? Notes: On the home screen, I can see my carrier name (Etisalat) and my WiFi network name. When I go to "Manage Connections", it shows that I'm connected to the WiFi network; but I've never seen the WiFi signal icon in blue or green or any color than grey (which means the BB is not using the WiFi at all) I want to set the default internet access as WiFi. but How ?! Some people told me that it will switch automatically between WiFi and data package, but as far as I see, it's not switching at all. I got my 9860 last week. Everything seems OK except occasionally the phone just stalls for a second or two before I can regain my control. When I checked my phone's memory from Options page, I was surprised to get the following information. I then validated the information with an app called "BeInfo Lite". This is very different from the 9860 specification where I should have 768MB RAM and 4GB storage memory. Phone Options->Device->Storage: Application Storage - Free Space: 150.3MB Built-in Media Storage: Total 2.5 GB, Free 2.2 GB The app "BeInfo Lite" shows the following: Flash Memory (RAM): Total: 512.93MB, Free: 149.7MB, Used: 363.23MB Storage Memory: Total: 2.58 GB, Free: 2.23 GB, Used: 350.78 MB Is there anything wrong on my phone?
This is a software issue, for sure. I've removed battery, sim, memory, still no power up. New battery in shop fully charged put in, still no power up. Phone call to O2 will replace in the morning.ooking at the boards, theres a common issue out there. Software, not hardware. So I tried following a Blackberry 7 upgrade offered by the Desktop manager, which incidently recognised I had a 9860 - so something is talking! - Unable to reconnect to the device during a multi-stage load operation. is the only result I get as I've followed the Device Software update , Bundle 1645 is being offered but it fails the install .At the start it downloads 497 modules, then startsErasing applications(!!). But fails on the next stage.I also read that connecting the 9860 and pressing ctrl + alt + del would active the phone, all it did (even that was surprising) was let me see a Battery sign on the screen. However interesting that was it soon disappeared.
I bought a BB Torch 9860 in USA, and I live in Argentina, and as I couldn't get 3G on it I was searching and I foun out that I got a wrong 3G bands units. mine is model RDQ71UW with bands 1-4-8, and local mobile provider here, Claro, explained to me that I need the bands 1-2-5-6, that I understand is on model RDP71UW.I also understand that it is not something that could gets re-configured.So I should buy a correct unit and try to sell this one, is that right? Is not possible to get this model in Argentina because we have many limitations to importations. at the States do they sell/use boht models? so, in that case I could get the correct one there, and also offer mine there, correct? What countries or regions uses each of those models?
