All of a sudden my contacts are all screwed up. Somehow my yahoo contacts have been added to my phone. I have duplicates of stuff in my phone that shoudn't be there and stuff I never entered in contacts.
How can I edit my contacts? And I don't really used my phone and its automatically add a contacts and email adds.. I dont know why that happen..i just turn my phone off and this is happen..
When I add specific contacs to a group, I do not see that contact listed under the main contacts list. They are available only under the groups. It looks like a bug with the xperia neo v. Is there a way I can have the contact seen in both the main contacts list and in the groups? I use the xperia neo v which is upgraded with ICS 4.0.4
I have this weird problem on my 3GS. This is what happens: 1. Someone calls me from number not in my contacts. 2. I go to my "recents" and click the arrow, and then "create new contact". 3. I type a name (Lyle) and click "save". 4. In "recents" the number now shows up as "Lyle", everything seems ok. 5. In the "contacts app" Lyle does not exist. Therefore also does not sync with mobileme. If I add a contact in the contact app itself, everything works fine.
After iOS 5 and this whole iCloud business, my contacts on my iPhone have become a mess... I can no longer add a contact on my phone and expect it to be added to my Address Book automatically after the next sync, and the whole 'Groups' thing confuses the crap out of me. I have my Yahoo account linked, but now I don't actually want anything to do with Yahoo (or Google) when it comes to my contacts: all I want is contacts on my phone and on my Mac, nothing else. I'll get iCloud up and running once I upgrade to Mountain Lion, but not bef?
When I add a new contact it only seems to stay for a short while then disappears. Very frustrating. All my old ones that I imported of my SD card stay on there.
I am new member of this community and hope that someone here will help me to sort out my problem.I have Backberry Pearl and I have 2520 contacts saved in it. But about 10 months before, I had added 2 very important contacts in it but now I had forgotten the name and number of the contacts I saved. So, is there is any solution to find recently added contacts or is there is any third party application because I always face these types of problems.
Time ago I´ve used to have only 1 mail account set on my blackberry, a gmail account (xxxxx@gmail.com), and used the google sync (url...) to synchronize contacts between the smartphone and the webmail account. It has been working like a charm for a long time. At that time, I could create and edit contacts and the changes got synchronized in both sites.A month ago I decided to create through Google Apps an email address with my own internet domain (xxxxx@xxxxxxxx.com), and decided to add this email address to the smartphone to check both accounts. The first surprise came when I noted that adding this email address (following the procedure to add any email address) has caused the BB to activate it, like BES mode, against the gmail server.Suddenly I discovered that I cant create nor edit contacts in BB, but I can in the webmail interface of the google apps email address. The contact created using the web interface is syncronized to the BB.The issue is that I cant create nor edit contacts in the smartphone!
Wen i go to write new txt msg frm my messaging, i am not able to add contacts to send... wen i go to contacts my left soft key which is situated above call button wont work... other all places it wil work...
I have an iPhone 4S. It is on the current IOS 5.1 (9B179). Everything has been working fine, but earlier this week, I lost all of the contacts associated with my Yahoo account. I have tried the following:
- recycled the iPhone (full power down)
- turned off/on the contracts for the Yahoo account
- dropped the Yahoo account completely and readded
- confirmed that the contacts are still on the Yahoo account (via browser)
- confirmed that the contacts are visible on another device (iPad 1 with latest IOS version)
- waiting >24 hours with the Yahoo account re-added to determine if it would resolve itself
In all cases, the net result is the same. The iPhone can connect to the Yahoo account fine (email and calendar are no issues), but when selecting all contacts or even the Yahoo specific contacts, the iPhone is blank, but the account has >100 contacts.
I have a BlackBerry Bold 9000 smartphone and using the Blackberry desktop software version 4.2 to sync contacts And outlook emails. But I realized that new contacts added to my blackberry are being deleted automatically.
I received an iphone 4 from my company about a week ago. I inputted my Exchange account and my Yahoo! account and added the Yahoo! carddav file and everything worked perfectly... for a week. Yesterday, one by one, my contacts were dissappearing. My son's name was gone, just his phone number in my favorites; several of my contacts disappeared.
I deleted my Yahoo accounts from my phone, readded them, and nothing! I've even delted my Exchange account to see if that was an issue and only had the Yahoo account active, and still nothing. Do I need to move all my Yahoo! contacts to gmail? Is there a solution or reason why Yahoo! is not syncing?
I read that if you sync your phone with Itunes, you can collect your yahoo contacts, but here is my question. Does syncing Itunes and Yahoo via usb stop the data from wirelessly syncing also?
My goal is to not to have to plug my iphone into my computer to sync my contacts.
When I sync my iPhone 4 with my computer, it says it can't sync with my Yahoo account (as it has been for the past year) because I don't have an internet connection. I have wireless interent connection and I've checked everything - it's hooked up and I've tried to close out programs, restart etc. I have the latest iTunes version on my computer.
what is group size of contacts to be added in a single group. I have created a group and trying to add up contact in that, but it has some limitations to no of contacts. Earlier I was using curve phone, in that there was not such limitation.
The OTA sync between Yahoo Contacts and the BB address book only syncs from Yahoo to my BB. If I make changes on a contact in Yahoo, it shows up on the BB in the 4-hour time frame. But if I make a change to a contact on my BB, the change does not show up in Yahoo.
Activated my phone and I have several contacts on it but I am considering syncing my yahoo address book to my bold address book. I downloaded Google sync and it said that it synced calendar and contacts but I think the contacts went from the bold to Google since I don't actually use a Gmail account. Is there an easy and safe way to import/export my yahoo contacts into my blackberry?
i been trying to slove this i nokia is fairly new my yahoo messenger willopen but will not let me add my contacts do i need to configure an how an why everything but u tube works an messenger drivn me nuts
Blackberry bold 9900. Using the desktop software. Just did some updates. Now synching my address book to Yahoo Contacts is no longer an option. The only option is Windows Contacts. Only option for Tasks is iCalendar.
I have a Storm 2 9520 and want to copy all my contacts to yahoo, I have about 550 names and numbers and have been through the synchronization procedures loads of times but each time it gets about half way through and crashes. I am using 5.0 Bundle 1611 and have tried it on Windows Vista v6 and Windows 7, but it just stops and says "Blackberry Desktop Software has stopped working" I have removed any odd symbols from the contact names just in case that was the problem but to no avail.
i recently switched phone providers from ais in thailand to t-mobile in the netherlands. shortly after, i decided to activate my ymail account on my bb and, of course, synced my contacts. before i get to the problem. i had one issue earlier already, regarding address book contacts that were sent via bbm. i couldn't erase them, ever. i did tried removing the battery as suggested in other threads but it didn't work.anyways, what happened shortly after the ymail sync is that all my contacts disappeared, while the contact that was not erasable multiplied. i have it about 10 times now. in addition, this error message turns up on startup:
uncaught exception java.lang.NullPointerException
i looked around in other feeds but couldn't find a solution. i checked the address book filters (they are all off). when i chose address book >> options >> ...@ymail.com it appeared that all my contacts still exist on the yahoo server. i just can't access them for some reason. i downloaded them from yahoo for now. i'm sure there is a way to import them but i started worrying that my device software might be corrupt.so, before i start looking for a solution to reimport the contacts, i would like to know whether anyone ever experienced the multiplied contact error i have. because having 12 identical contacts that i cannot erase in my address book is kind of annoying and i would wipe the device before reimporting the contacts if there is now way to delete them.
