I just updated my DM to version 6.0 bundle 2949 and find that it doesn't offer me Yahoo anymore to sync in my organizer. All I'm offered is Windows Contacts, or icalendar for calendar and tasks.
The last update I installed lost the calendar sync option, but I have lived with that. But this is way more important to me. I saw forum advice to the effect that version 6.1 supports Yahoo.
My torch 9800 was working fine, upgraded to 6.0 Bundle 2949, and it synced a few times, and now It will not sync. It goes 1/2 way through and then I get the error message "Sync Error-Invalid record ID" "An error occured during an attempt to access a device database record.
I've all ready given up getting all of my palm addresses into this device, but now I may loose all of my contacts between my computer & phone I have...
I upgraded my Blackberry Torch earlier today (13:51hrs) only to find that all my email accounts have stopped working. They will not verify even though he account passwords I am using are correct, and the mobile will not let me delete or add any new ones. is my only option to completely factory default and start from scratch as i can not find a way to remove the "dodgy code" from my now useless
Want to install new update, it downloads to module 518 and then gives an error about internet connection. I have tried this 5 times and keeps on happening.
After updating to 2647, I can't find the password keeper, doc , PDF and spread sheet in the applications folder. Those applications are really important to me and I don't know what is the problem, is it the new software doesn't have those applications or some kind of an error during the installation of the software.I really need those apps ,degrade to the previous version or reinstall the same version again. But I don't know how to do the both. step by step instruction from where to download the so and how to install it to the phone.
I downloaded the new Yahoo calendar. Ever since then my Torch will not sync with the my calendar. My contacts still sync fine, but I will get an error message that says "connection to Yahoo server was lost" when I try to sync the calendar. Today I updated both my Blackberry Desktop Software (6.0.2.42) and my Torch software (6.0 bundle 2342), but that didn't help.
I have been able to sync my calendar entries between my BB 9800 Torch and my Yahoo calendar until recently. Both BB and Yahoo have been upgraded and now the sync no longer works. The BB Desktop Manager syncs my Contact List perfectly with Windows Contact list, then reads my BB Torch calendar, then stops syncing with the message " CONNECTION TO YAHOO SERVER WAS LOST". I have checked all my settings and reviewed other forum threads but cannot determine what is causing this problem.
I just updated the OS and the Desktop software to the newer versions above. As a result of that my calendar does not synchronize with the MSOutlook. The Desktop Software says that the Calendar is not installed.
If I go to the Selective Restore option he recognizes the Calendar (so the Calendar is there).
I recently updated my torch 9800. The Bb desktop successfully dowloaded all the modules. Bet when it automatically rebooted, it hangs halfway and received an error that the PC cannot communicate with the BB because of the obvious reason.
I had no choice but to disconnect the BB from the PC and remove the battery and back so it can boot properly.
It seems to be working properly with the previous software (not the 2475) I hope the download did not do anything to make it work improperly.
for sure blackberry tested this update before giving it to consumers but I am just wondering why this issue happened.
I just updated my bb to the newest bundle. However all my languages have changed, I have korean thai, and bahasa indonesia. The update deleted english, french, and spanish. How can I add them back into the language section?
Torch 9800 on AT&T V6.0 Bundle 2647 Free Space 268.5mb
I recently updated to 6.0 bundle 2647 and since updating I have had several random freezes of the device while doing nothing. I keep the device locked with a short password, and then in a holster most of the time. I have had the situation happen about once a day, very random, where I would pull it out of the holster and try to access it by pressing unlock or sliding it open and nothing works. No response, just a display of the lock screen (no pwd input) and clock of the time when it froze. This is very frustrating and I'm getting ready to downgrade to the previous version. When it occurs, it's usually been idle, not running any apps.
I can't connect to my car's (2008 Range Rover Sport) bluetooth ever since I've updated my AT&T BB Torch 9800's OS to the 6.0 bundle 2342. I was hoping this recent 2647 would fix the problem but it unfortunately has not. I had no problems connecting to my car's bluetooth until the last 2 updates.
I saw that there is an update to the software for my new Torch, and I tried updating the other day and did the same as a few other people I've seen on the forums, namely freezing after the phone reboots and the desktop software telling me that it can't connect to the phone.
1. Is it worth trying to make the update work? What has been changed and/or optimized between the 2 bundles?
2. Would anyone be able to give me some advice on updating the software (if it's worth it), so it doesn't end up freezing halfway through again.
Given that problems are routinely experienced doing any BlackBerry device or desktop manager updates, has anyone installed this update and if so, has it created problems? And if there are problems, what are they?
I have tried several times to load this upgrade by both apploader and desktop software. Apploader states that the update is not available from this server, the desktop software downloads it but hangs during the device backup. I have even tried to do a backup from the desktop software and the backup hangs too.
I upgraded my Torch (9800) a week ago, and have been noticiing battery drain issues. The problem is NOT persistent, but is happening most of the times though. I am currently on OS v6.0 bundle 3049 (v6.0.0.706, platforn 6.6.0.246). My Wifi and Bluetooth are always OFF. Only using the Bell network, for which I have all the 5 bars available. . I have investigated further, and I found that the Blackberry System Software was the one running with the highest CPU - usually in the high 70s, to even high 90s. And this was consistent over hours, until the battery was dead. I have since removed any apps I suspecpected - such as Nice Office and LinkedIn. But the problem still persists.
Battery pull has been done multiple times, as well as I have checked, and there are are no OS updates available.
Now, currently, only the basic apps are loaded (Alt-Back) : Home, Messages, BBM, Phone, Borwser. All other apps are closed or exited.
Investigating further into the modules within the BB System Software, I have found that the net_rim_io_impl, is the one consuming ALL of the CPU. I am not sure where/what this module does - so I am unclear on what service within the BB I can turn OFF to get rid of the issue.the CPU for the System drops a bit, as Options uses up some, else, it goes back to 90s, if left alone with either a fix to the module, or else, via some workaround, wherein some service can be stopped or some setting can be changed to avoid this battery drain.
Tonight I updated my software to v6.0.0.526 and when I started back up my wallpaper was back at default and my media was wiped. I can't find my pictures and I also can't identify them in my device backup.
I tried to update my BB torch 9860 using OTA from 7.1 bundle 1149 up to 7.1 bundle 2016. After update was successfully finished, I noticed that the screen on BB has changed. All icons became very small or missing. The phone is working, I can accept calls, but cannot dial because cannot access the dial pad. I've tried to downgrade to the previous version, and after successful downgrade, at least that what's was written, the problem persist. If I try to access some applications the screen shows: uncaught exception: Bitmap invalid (null). I cannot access Application management. The phone constantly get stuck on one screen for a long time....
I am trying to upgrade my BB torch 9860 OS version to 7.1.0 bundle 1646, But unable to do.I try to upgrade using the aploader as well bb desktop manager.
I recently upgraded the OS on my Torch 9800 to OS 6 bundle 2647. Everything seems okay except that the passwords that were stored in my SplashData app are now gone. Is the data file still on the phone somewhere or can it somehow be recovered?I did not back up the phone with the Desktop manager before the upgrade.
i've been having issues with my bb torch 9800 (6.0 bundle 2647), randomly shutting down. when i finally get it to turn back on, it reboots.i've tried working with at&t tech support for a solution, but nothing we've tried has worked long term, and it's very frustratini've tried:soft resets (taking out the battery while phone is off)hard resets (taking out the battery while phone is on)master reboots (wipping phone clean of all data and software, then re-installing software)i have very limited media/apps on my phone, yet, this issues keeps occurinfree memory: 315974563 bytesapplications installed: at&t code scanner 2.0.14blackberry app world 3.0.1.29blackberry maps 6.0.0.32blackberry essenger5.0.2.12blackberry podcasts 1.5.0.28browser 6.0.0bubble bash 2.0calculator 6.0.0calendar 6.0.0clock 6.0.0contacts.0.0email setup application 6.11.0216.1323facebook 20.0.50file explorer 6.0.0google maps 4.5.3google talk 2.5.108help 3.0.0.32home screen 6.0.0media, memopad, mesages, options, password lock, phone, setup 6.0.0slacker radio 3.1.152social feeds 1.0.0.58tasks 6.0.0twcrtfree 1.5twitter 2.0.0.16visual voice mail 3.0.0.129voice dialing 6.0.0Internet 1.0.0.40
Running version 6.0 Bundle 695 and tried to update to 6.0 Bundle 2342. Update hangs at "downloaded modules 429" and stops. Eventually, the update fails due to an internet connection failure and asks to retry. Tried using the desktop software to update and the BB website update. Both failed multiple times at the same point in the process.
I have downloaded the bundle 2406. The Result is that almost all apps are not suitable anymore for my torch 9810. With the old software there was no problem at all!
Picking the lesser of two evils, I currently switched over from gCal to Yahoo Calendar. However, I have no clue how to get syncing between Yahoo <-> Mac <-> BB. I'm able to have iCal view & edit my Yahoo Calendar via CalDAV however, neither BB Desktop nor Missing Sync can read said calendars. Is there an OTA sync app for the BB? Else, is there an easy way to have a Yahoo Calendar sync with a local iCal calendar (as BB Desktop / Missing Sync can view those without issue)?
a friend of mine has given me his blackberry bold bundle 6.0 (2949) software but he said his had nothing but problems with.. he hasnt had 5.0 on it but wants to put it on.. (i have 5.0 on mine and it works fine)
I have a new curve (8530) and my carrier is Verizon. My curve was syncing with my Yahoo calendar in December without any issues. Since January it no longer syncs. My memo pad syncs, but not the calendar. I do not have Outlook on my computer, so Yahoo is my only choice of calendar. I spoke to Verizon tech support for 2 hours and we tried everything. I uninstalled and reinstalled Desktop manager, but that didn't help either.
