May 8, 2011I just updated my DM to version 6.0 bundle 2949 and find that it doesn't offer me Yahoo anymore to sync in my organizer. All I'm offered is Windows Contacts, or icalendar for calendar and tasks.
The last update I installed lost the calendar sync option, but I have lived with that. But this is way more important to me. I saw forum advice to the effect that version 6.1 supports Yahoo.

Oct 20, 2012My torch 9800 was working fine, upgraded to 6.0 Bundle 2949, and it synced a few times, and now It will not sync. It goes 1/2 way through and then I get the error message "Sync Error-Invalid record ID" "An error occured during an attempt to access a device database record.
I've all ready given up getting all of my palm addresses into this device, but now I may loose all of my contacts between my computer & phone I have...

Oct 18, 2011my BB Curve 9300 is reseting every time it connects to my Car handsfree speaking system via bluetooth. (Only if the phone is in locked state). I have a VW Golf and I didn't had this problem with the 2647 bundle version. After the update to Bundle 2949 my BB phone does this anyoing reset, it does the initial connection and when the information should be displayed which bluetooth functionality is enabled, it does the reset, after the reset it connects without issue. The only way to stop this behavior is to unlock the phone before I start my car. I did try to delete the paired device connection and establish a new one, but this did not change the behavior. what I can do? The last step would be going back to 2647 ....

Jun 8, 2011I recently updated my Bold 9700 (on T-Mobile) to OS 6.0 via a manual download beacuse when ever i try updating with my desktop software or device software they get to module 394 of 501 and it stops downloading. now i have deleted all loader cache and history and tried again and got the same result. i am using a dongle to download the update on my laptop and wondered if that could cause a problem. i downloaded 6.0 manually off another website but i was bundle 1879 and still requires an update to bundle 2534.

Jun 8, 2011I recently updated my torch 9800. The Bb desktop successfully dowloaded all the modules. Bet when it automatically rebooted, it hangs halfway and received an error that the PC cannot communicate with the BB because of the obvious reason.
I had no choice but to disconnect the BB from the PC and remove the battery and back so it can boot properly.
It seems to be working properly with the previous software (not the 2475) I hope the download did not do anything to make it work improperly.
for sure blackberry tested this update before giving it to consumers but I am just wondering why this issue happened.

May 29, 2012I have a message asking me to Install the Version 7.1.0 Bundle 1133 software update. Priority: Critical. 95.4MB. It says it will take 2 hours with no phone use. That's fine, so I've clicked it to do it's thing, and nothing really happens, apart from it "Verifying update..." and occasionally the little clock face pops up on top of it. Then my phone just goes dark and restarts. On restartating it displays the following message "Uncaught exception: no application instance".My mobile is not plugged into my laptop during this process.I have deleted applications like facebook and whatsapp from my phone to give it more MBs of space. Jun 16, 2010I just updated my 9900 to bundle 1672 from 14xx which came factory installed using the desktop manager. This resulted in the loss of ALL third party apps and some BB apps! Of course, as recommended I did a backup before the update and the desktop manager restored from the backup. Despite this, none of my apps followed.
Lost App World and the compass app. The compass app I can't find again. App World was an easy fix through BB's website. Once I got App World I could download all the apps I have bought from My World. However, some of them require registration (haven't heard back from these companies yet) and I lost all my entries and settings in these apps!
I lost all third party apps that came pre-installed that I haven't downloaded from App World, like Wikitude, Facebook, Google Talk, MSN, and so on.Has this happened to anyone else? Why did this happen? Shouldn't backups also back up all the apps? What went wrong??

Aug 5, 2010My 9700 bold was working pretty slow so I plugged it into my boyfriend's PC and checked for a software update, there was one so I installed it. Everything went fine, this time the update didn't crash my blackberry like it had with my previous Blackberry Curve.I've noticed though that my calendar is no longer working properly. I now have TWO notifications of the same reminder/appointment instead of one even though I've only entered one reminder/appointment. Instead of having one calendar alert box, it says there's two. I normally just hit dismiss, which dismisses both notifications but this morning I just hit "snooze" when I did that, the second notification popped up the SAME notification I had just snoozed for 5minutes.How do I change this? It's not a huge problem, just a little annoying and I'm worried the glitch will cause problems down the road.This is my 3rd Blackberry in ONE year as it is..I need this to work properly. I can't afford to go out and buy ANOTHER Blackberry.This one already crashed when I originally installed the Twitter app from RIM, a month after I bought it!
Also after the update, does anyone else's top shortcuts that used to be "keylock" and "silent mode" now only have keylock(which no longer turns the screen on with your owner info) and the other shortcut is totally blank. Is there a way to change this? I liked having the keylock on but being able to bring the screen up to see if I have messages.Plus, I no longer hear my phone ring if it's in Locked mode..which is a pain in the **bleep**.

My laptop was definitely connected to the internet because I was browsing while trying to update. The Desktop Manager itself recognises that it is connected to the internet, because it scanned for updates for itself on the internet and updated succefully. But when it came to downloading updates for my blackberry handset. It became oblivion to the fact that it was connected to the internet and kept giving me this senseless error report!
