IPhone :: Email And Contacts Automatically Download?
Jun 30, 2012I just got an iPhone 4S and I am considering adding my email to this. But, if I do--then does all of my email contacts/addresses automatically download too?If so--then if I now have a contact name in my phone with a phone number and then I have the same name in my email contact--will it show up twice or will the email address be added to the phone contact?

Mar 5, 2011I have 4 different email accounts, 2 of them are gmail and yahoo. The unpleasant thing that happen is that after setting up these accounts. Contacts are auto-sync and now I have the same contact twice although in the "setting" "setup" I have untick the sync contact box I just do not understand why does that happen. I have use blackberry before but none of these happen this is so un-cool!

Aug 7, 2011I assigned pics to a bunch of my contacts and was pleased to see they synced over to my Exchange account. All of my Android phones I've had since then (G1, Droid, G2, Sidekick 4) pulled those pictures down from Exchange once I set up my contact sync and showed them in Contacts, when I'd get an incoming call from that person, in the text messaging app, etc.
But, the Droid3 doesn't. I'm guessing this is because it looks like it uses a custom app for Exchange, but still, I'd like to see it fixed/added. FWIW, contact pics from my Google+ contacts do show up.

Aug 10, 2015My girlfriend is coming up as something like 20 contacts in the Contacts app on my Samsung S5 with Android 5.0. Even if I link her contacts together, they just get automatically created again. Same think if I delete them. She has several email addresses and we share several apps together such as traffic apps, Facebook, WhatsAPP Skype, etc etc. There is a separate conact for each one. I've tried setting the "Contact to Show" setting to Device (only) but they all still show up so they must be "Device" contacts. I've also got the Contact Setting option checked for "Show only contacts with phone". Even then all her email only and app only contacts show up.

When i activate the enterprise account using Desktop Manager the contacts are synced two ways (as there is an option on the manager) the look up option on the device is active and displays all the contacts on the server.

I have google sync on my phone, but that only messed up my contacts by dumping a bunch of duplicates into my BB contacts and it doesnt seem to reverse sync. I have since deleted my gmail contacts so I dont suffer this fate again, but cannot for the life of me figure out how to reverse sync from BB to gmail.

Jan 11, 2012I bought my bold 9900 last november and back then I connected the phone to the computer and switch from the 9700 that i own previously. Since then I never connected the phone to the computer again until yesterday to update the software. In the middle of my first attempt to update there was a crash so I started again but for my surprise after de update has finished and i reinitiate the handset it seems that almost eveything was wiped out, I had to reinstal all the applications and when the phone was on it came the option the contacts from sim to be installed but then i have some contacts missing and part of the info of some of the ones that still there are also missing, the weird thing is the pictures that i had in the phone are all there.... DO you think theres anyway to get the contacts back? SHould I restore from the backup of the 9700 that i did when i bought the new phone?
