BB Bold :: Contacts Show Up In The Calendar As Recurring Events While Others Don't?
Mar 5, 2010
I just got my new Bold but couldn't figure out why certain birthdays on my contacts show up in the calendar as recurring events while others don't. Is there a way to fix that?
Syncing my iPhone to MS Exchange. I see in Outlook 2010 calendars, all the recurring events I have. In particular, I see some birthdays in the current week, but on my iPhone 4s, running IOS 5.1, I only see a couple. More explicitly, there are 2 birthdays on the day that I am writing this question, only one shows on the iPhone. Also, one for tomorrow does not show, nor does an anniversary 2 days after that. There is no obvious reason for some to show and others to not show. Additionally, birthdays do not show up in 'Day' view, only in 'List' and 'Month' view.
I have tried deleting my Exchange account and re-adding it. I have changed all birthdays from 'Private' to 'Normal' confidentiality. I have tried editing events which don't show on the iPhone, in an attempt to make them appear. I can see appointments I create on the iPhone, in Outlook within seconds. I delete a test appointment in Outlook and it will disappear on the iPhone. I found that 'recurring events which are all Day Events' do not show on the iPhone. However, I can search for the event and find it, even though it does not display!
If you enter a calendar event in the Thunderbolt and identify its duration as "All Day" and also indicate that it reoccurs every year on the same day, when you sync with Outlook the event will span two days in Outlook - the date selected AND the prior day.
In my situation my "Date & Time" Time Zone setting is set for "GMT -04:00, Eastern Daylight Time." But when I view the event in Outlook after a sync, Recurrence shows the following information as an example: Occurs every February 21 effective 2/21/2011 (GMT) Monrovia, Reykjavik.
I think this indicates that something is causing the data to be entered into Outlook under a different time zone and showing it as an "overlap" in my time zone.
If I enter an event as "All Day" but don't have it recur, the sync works just fine.
The search function isnt finding any recurring events I have synced from Outlook. When I go to the Calendar they are there. I've put the event in Name and/or text field, nothing seems to work. It will find events that have only one occurance, but not any of my birthdays. Any thoughts, another .607 issue?
For some reason, my calendar syncing is... . Acalander shows everything just fine. Either in the widget or app. But the stock calendar app doesn't show all of my events. Some show up, but others(most) don't. I installed silence app to have my phone silent during repeating events, and they don't show up there either. I tried turning off sync on my Google account, and back on, but it didn't change anything.
I have a subscribed calendar in iCal on my desktop that shows up in the list of iCloud calendars on my iPhone, but none of the events actually show up on my iPhone even though that calendar is selected to show its events. How can I fix this? It's really strange that my phone "sees" the calendar, but won't show the events that are in it! Very frustrating! I've already tried unsyncing and resyncing all of the calendars on my iPhone (i.e. I turned off iCloud calendar syncing, deleted all calendar info on my iPhone, then turned iCloud calendar syncing back on). No luck.
The first was notifications and I have been given to understand that the folks at Nokia are working on it.the second issue is the calendar. In the settings I have asked it to show Facebook and google calendar events. However, the calendar refuses to sync and show events. It's squeaky clean how do I get the calendar to show Facebook events and birthdays?
We just switched to MS Exchange Online and when we create a calendar meeting or appt in MS Outlook it shows up on the iphones and ipads as a day later, also shows up as an all-day event. We have 5 iPhones 4 and 4s in the office on both AT&T and Verizon and all have the same issues.
I've just moved to an S2 from a Samsung i8910 HD. On that phone the next events in the calendar would appear written on the home screen. It was a very useful prompt of what was happening next.Is it possible to get a similar display on the S2's home screen?
I have an iPhone 4sI use Google Calendar.I do not use iCloud. My calendar is fine and syncs perfectly between my computer (Lightning) and my iPhone 4sBUT when I go to the pull down notification screen on my iPhone 'recurring events' are duplicated. See above for a screen shot of my calendar settings and my pull down screen I can't work out why. As I said they show up as a single entry on the iPhone calendar and on Lightning and Google but not in the pull down notifications.
I just switched from the default Samsung calendar app to the Google Calendar app. Events from my primary Google calendar, "Personal", appear on the Google Calendar app on my S5, but the calendar itself doesn't appear as an option when creating new events or in the Settings page. As a result, I can see all of my events that I enter via my PC browser (correctly under the label "Personal"), but I cannot add new events from my phone to that specific calendar. My other, less frequently used Gmail calendars (Birthdays, work, a few shared calendars) appear.
I have noticed for some time now that my Droid can sometimes lose some of the recurring events in my calendar. They "dissapear" even when I haven't made any changes to those events. (If it happened once, I would admit that I may have done something and forgotten. But, I've had the problem for a while and am very careful with recurring events because of it.) Toggling the sync in the Settings>Accounts and Sync section sometimes helps, but often the best workaround is to make some minimal change to the event by logging in to Google Calendar and resave it. I typically add a space to the end of the event name. Once I do this, the future events appear on my Droid once again. Because this workaround does the trick, I assume this is a bug and not user error.
I recently plugged my iPhone into my laptop to update it, now all of my calendar events/contacts have been removed and replaced with my outlook contacts which I don't actually want. Is there any way to reverse this?
I'm trying to get Outlook for Mac 2011 calendar on my MacBook running Snow Leopard to show up on my new iPhone. Connected by USB, through iTunes. iTunes says it is syncing calendar, but nothing shows up on the iPhone calendar.
Info: iPhone 4S, Mac OS X (10.7.4), Outlook for Mac 2011 14.2.2
I have a DroidX version 2.2.1 and I use Corporate email. When I type in a new Calendar event into the phone it sync's to Google fine but it does not sync to my Corp Calendar. The same happens for Contacts. Here's what I've found:
1) Phone to Google works 2) Phone to Corp does not work 3) Corp to Phone works 4) Corp to Google does not work
When I first setup the phone, I setup Corp email and Gmail and the sync worked well. Some time later I removed my Corp email account from the phone only to re-add it a couple weeks later. Since then, the sync does not work the way it once did. I have set the phone so that my Corp account is the default account. I receive email on the phone with no issues. I want my Corp Calendar/Contacts to match my phone no matter whether I enter them from the phone, Google or my Corp Desktop.
I enter events into my BB calender such as "santa run 9am" on saturday december 8th and a couple hours later it deletes itself - it does this for every event I enter.?
My bb calendar has been deleting events recently, I will add them to the calendar and it will be there for a few days. After a couple of days, I will go back and check it, when I go to check it, amazingly it is gone. I do sync with google calendar using googlesync, but the entries are on the google calendar, just not on the bb calendar. I am using 5.xx411 vodafone release.
I have a Bold 9900 and have recently upgraded to Facebook 3.2. I have now lost all my events (birthdays etc) from my calendar (When I am logged into Facebook, the birthdays appear in the calendar and when I log out, they disappear).
When I synch with Outlook, the synch deletes past calendar events. How do I set the settings so that my past appointments and calendar events are not deleted?
Unable to sync new "Contacts or Calendar" events between Blackberry Desktop running on Mac OS using Entourage program and my Blackberry Curve 8530. Removed old Blackberry Desktop program and reinstalled new one from Blackberry internet but did not fix problem. I do not get any error codes when this happens. I add new "contact and calendar event" in both Entourage Contacts and Calendar as well as adding both in the Blackberry and then sync and nothing is exchanged.
I added a recurring event to my iPhone calendar. It is an event the originated on my work Outlook account that i forwarded to my personal email then added to my calendar. The event isn't synching across iCloud for some reason. It is only on my phone, so I want to delete it. There is no "edit" button on the event and, thus, no option to delete it.
I am trying to synchronize my BB with my desktop and it turns out that recurring meetings are not being synchronized (neither direction). My desktop software is Evolution under Linux. I was wondering whether the data format BB uses to store and sync recurring meetings can be made available so that I can fix my synchronization software.
I entered a recurring appointment on my PC in gmail/calendar and it synced fine to my phone. Now I don't need the item on my calendar on my Storm anymore and have deleted it from the calendar on my PC but it keeps coming up on my phone. How do I get it off of my phone calendar? I know how to delete it one at a time, but is there a way to delete the entire one all at once?
1. Recurring appointment in calender is without sound notification. Only the first event had sound.
2. When I select picture from camera roll, auto-fix it and save, it doesn´t show up in saved pictures folder. This worked great couple of months or weeks ago, not anymore.
