Contacts on my BB Bold 9780 are messed up, while the ones on my desktop are still good. Can I "force" a sync to use the desktop Contacts to overwrite the handheld Contacts?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a Blackberry 8330 curve that was purchased in October 2008.I loaded the Desktop Manager software from the disk that came with the phone. For a long while I was able to synche my calendar on the phone along with tasks, addresses,etc to outlook. Occasionally after finishing an error box would come up the Blackberry had detected an error and did I want to report it. I closed out the box since I was done working. About a week ago I was no longer able to synch and this error box would come up immediately. I have tried removing the software and downloading the version 5.0 software, hard re-setting the phone (which almost worked). I have updated to Internet Explorer 8 but this problem occured earlier as well.Last night I was able to back-up the device and set synchronization settings after the hard reset of the phone but now I cannot do anything. Desktop Manager opens fine, connects to my blackberry fine but as soon as I hit "Synch" it pops up the error message and whether I hit debug, don't send a report or send a report it closes me out completely.

I used the settings to do this in iTunes when syncing and it worked perfectly on my iPad, but on my iPhone it just added all the edited ones in to the old ones, so now the iPhone contacts list is worse than ever.

So does anybody know of an easy way to sync my contacts FROM my blackberry TO my gmail contacts? I have google sync on my phone, but that only messed up my contacts by dumping a bunch of duplicates into my BB contacts and it doesnt seem to reverse sync. I have since deleted my gmail contacts so I dont suffer this fate again, but cannot for the life of me figure out how to reverse sync from BB to gmail.

I recently changes jobs and put my new information into my phone and I am now working from home so I have never needed this before. my email is sending and receiving no problem, my calendar is syncing perfectly but my contacts will not sync. the sync process seems to work from the software (it goes thru the motions) but when I look in outlook, no contactsI have looked around the net for possible solution and even tried most of the things I've seen...to no avail. I had a guy come in yesterday with what I believe to be a bricked Tour...basically was stuck on the white screen that said it needed to be taken "for repair." After some quick research here I concluded it was probably due to the 5.0 problems people have been having and I had a new one shipped out to him next day under warranty.
The problem is he aparently has tons of contacts, and of course like many people didn't use DM to do backups. Is there any way that those contacts could be accessed? We do have the same machine a corp store uses but I'm thinking that's not going to pull them...I didn't know if there was a way to restore a earlier OS with DM and keep the contacts. I'm guessing no, but figured I'd check the best source!

I'm wondering if there is an app that let's me sync my Facebook contacts with the contacts on my phone, I've got an iPod Touch and on that I use MyPhone+ and I sync that to Windows contacts and my phone to Windows contacts but no pics get copied. is there an app there does that?

I have a new phone. AT&T couldn't add my Droid Maxx to their service, so now I have a phone, with contacts from google, but the contacts don't have any phone numbers even though on a computer I can clearly see the phone numbers. Need transferring contacts from google to galaxy s6 contacts. With out phone numbers, and phone isn't really a phone.

I'm trying to sync my iPhone contacts with windows contacts using iTunes. I keep getting the message "iTunes could not sync contacts with iPhone because the sync server failed to sync the iPhone." Internet connection is on. They used to sync before and one day they just stopped syncing.

I am adding 150 Blackberry users that do not have a desktop computers. They will only send a receive email with their Blackberry 8520 phones. Since I cannot import contact with Outlook Web Access, how can I import contacts with Blackberry Web Desktop Manager? I need to add 300 company contacts to each phone.

The application Contacts Storage (process com.motorola.contacts) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again...sigh...Another vote for ditch motoblur account requirements.
